We silly Texans (neither of us are Natives, but having lived in TX a combined 50+ years, we claim Texan status😉) thought going to AK would be akin to visting Siberia. Spent too many (honestly, 1 is too many) winters in Fargo ND to think cold is meant to be enjoyed outdoors 🤷♀️, so I understand your aversion to cold. Imagine our surprise (and delight) when we were treated to 14 consecutive 70° days during our first cruise. It was fabulous and we were hooked.
You'll want to go early -> high season to have the best weather, but now that we know what awaits us, we do also like end of season to enjoy a break from the heat.
