This thread has been much quieter than I would have expected with this busy cruise season in full swing. Is it just that no one is getting successful move ups? Sailing this weekend, and haven't really seen hardly anyone posting accepted/rejected data...

There's another thread here that indicates the July 2 sailing has returned the MDR menu to remove the "premium" selections (lobster, filet) and return the former everyday classic entrees.

Hmm. I'm sailing EQ in 2 weeks. My app hasn't updated the menu yet. Still showing premium charges, and "venue closed" the last few nights.

Any idea if that is all Equinox sailings, or has been suggested, only sailings under 7 nights?

We may have some additional clarity at the end of this week, when the next Equinox sailing starts, since it will be an 8 day cruise. There has been suggestion that this upcharge change will apply to sailings less than 7 days. It is my hope that the app menus update after this current sailing ends, and we can see what those menus say. (My July 8 sailing shows these same charges, but also shows the MDR closed on days 8 and 9, which I believe is applicable to the current EQ sailing since its only 6 days).

Which ship? (I'm on July 8 Equinox and waiting to hear about my bids). Thx.

When my family was checking in (3 staterooms), my son ran into that snag, where his card wouldn't take, triple checking the info, and even trying multiple cards. I finally had to put my card in, and it worked. I don't know what the issue was...

Any other suggestions for a family gathering spot (18 people) for sail away (Equinox specifically)? Any preferences to be up on deck vs in the forward Sky Observation lounge for sail away? Thinking the aft bars might be crowded for our group.

Hmm. I paid for a voucher "on sale" that required both passengers to upgrade (app wouldn't let me select only one passenger). If I understand, I have to bring my device to the i- lounge or some such to activate the upgrade. Am I totally wrong on this? Also, if my phone is upgraded, can I use that as a hotspot for laptop, or is that a separate "device"? Thanks

Not the prior poster, but for me the sale/promotion was just there when I checked on status of my prior bids. Was "limited time" and lowered the minimum bids for all available categories. I'm assuming the promotion was hoping to spark some bids from people who otherwise wouldn't. My theory is that it shouldn't affect the actual winning bids, which of course is based on highest bid (not lowest). Perhaps it actually causes bidders to increase their bids out of great of more people entering the process...

I think I know the answer, but are all stateroom doors metal so magnets should work on any of the doors?

Also, just saw on the website that no shorts, bathing suits or coverups are allowed, as the attire is smart casual, requiring long pants, skirt or dress. That might be a deal-breaker, on the top deck in July...
