It's around 1 mile from station to free shuttle. You might struggle to get a taxi for the short distance as they are looking for the big fares to Rome etc, but if you did manage to get a taxi you would probably be as well taking it right to the ship as i don't think it would cost much more and you wouldn't have to mess around with your luggage. We took the Port Mobility bus from ship to the station in August and it was worth the €6 each.

I think there is a big difference between US and UK travel agencies.

I've been looking to book our 2nd cruise next year to the Med ( 1st was this year with Princess ) but not being able to choose my room is puting me off VV ! I did a trial online booking and i was getting assigned deck 5 right at front of ship but i would like to be higher and midship.

I suppose it's a personal choice as to whether you prefer a bus or a train !

We took the Frecce train a couple of weeks ago, assigned seats but not much luggage room, a lot of people had their cases next to their seats making it difficult to get to toilets etc.

Ok i just bought tickets for FrecciaBianca 09.16 5th Aug, do i need to print tickets or will the QR codes on phone be ok ? Also says something about checking in ? Also the Portmobility bus that runs to station, does it stop at the ship or is there a stance that you have to go to ? Thanks.

Why bother with a taxi when you can get the bus right at your ship ? I've read that the taxis are not keen on the short fare to the train station, they want the big hires to Rome etc.

The €6 port mobility bus picks up from ship and takes you to station, free shuttle only takes you to port entrance.

Looking at getting the 09.16 Frecce to Rome, it's saying the €6 port bus leaves at 08.50, is that not cutting it a bit fine ? Also is the bus from port to station easy enough to find ? Aug 5th Enchanted Princess.

It was booked mid Febuary through *****.co.uk, it's for July 29th Med cruise on Enchanted Princess. I've no idea if it was the agent or Princess running the promo but i do remember that it was a limited time deal. I was dithering between this cruise or an MSC one and when i seen the promo that help me decide ! P.S just checked booking it was the love boat sale.

It's a no brainer for us, we got the premier package for the same price as the plus package was.(special offer at time of booking) This is our first cruise but our normal holiday usually consists of lazing by the pool and having a few drinks then at night eating out with wine then perhaps a few cocktails. Probably wont use the fitness classes but i would imagine the alcohol alone will cover the cost of package and we also get the 2 nights speciality dining, photo package etc.

Thanks, ship due in at 5am, no problem taking own bags off the ship.
