  1. Are they doing turn down service at night again? HAL has posted news that they are doing it again starting in May for their 150 Anniversary and using Stoopwaffels instead of chocolate. And is there a classical music duo or trio onboard NS now? I'm sailing on the June 1 cruise.
  2. The April 10 sailing is at 20:30 (8:30 pm) which means that there will not be a lot of Casino or Shop time unless you want to stay up late. But I'm sure there will be some "party hearty" folks working on their "15 drinks a day" package. I'm sure I'll have a couple myself before heading to the cabin.πŸ˜„πŸΈπŸΉ. First time on NCL too.
  3. Do the chefs and cooks on NCL check food temperatures? Generally, health standards require that "hot" food be about 130F when served. I've seen Holland America chefs and cooks checking foods on their buffets, but this will be my first NCl cruise. I'd think that any cruise line would want to avoid issues with food spoliage or contamination, so I am surprised to see so many comments about "luke warm or cold" food on the Sky. Do you complain and request food be at proper temperature? I sure will, I'm paying for it after all.
  4. Got two upgrade offers on my Oosterdam cruise (31 days)from Buenos Aires next week. Upgrade to Veranda from OceanView guaranteed - about $1300pp first time (3 weeks out), next one (2 weeks out) was about $750pp). Didn't take either. Got notice of a OV confirmed which was fine with us. Then this week got notice that we had been upgraded to a Veranda (VC) anyway. Thanked our HAL agent right away. Our 7th HAL cruise, second on the Oosteram. Happy cruisers.πŸ˜ƒ
