  1. Perfect, was hoping it was that simple.
  2. I received an actual e- gift card. Online it says I can just take to guest services and they will apply to my account. Has anyone done this?
  3. Oh boy what a ***** show of a trip. This is my 4th time on Msc and my last. I understand the weather Impacting departure, but with the casino closed they did not add any additional entertainment. The whole cruise they had no trivia at night, no games, every night they had a pool party!!!! Same Concept, different theme. So after the main shows, not Much to do the rest of the evening. I talked with one of the crew and they said when the ship was in Europe, the cruisers did not like those things, only parties. So they didn’t adjust to the us market. A lot of the crew were also new, so the service was terrible. There was a severe shortage of kaluha on the ship, we only found one bottle on one night. How is that possible??? The first night we had early dinner at 5:15 and our waiter and asst didn’t show up until 5:50 because they were Working the safety drill. We were finishing up at 7:20, with another table next to us, when the head water came over screaming, literally, wrap It up we have another dinner at 7:30!!!! We were all like what, it isn’t our fault. I reported him after dinner, but never heard back from anyone. I could go on and on, I will just close with I thought I would Never say I had a bad bad cruise. but this one truly was!!!!!
  4. I cruise 3 to 4 times a year, usually Royal. We were on Seascape on the June 4th sailing. I am a little puzzled by all the posts. The service and food in the Mdr was very good. After the first day learned the layout of the buffet and never had an issue with crowds or missing items. Ate there for breakfast and lunch. Easy to run down one flight of stairs from the pool to the buffet. The only crowd was the late night buffet the first night, but the other nights was no Issue. We made our show reservations, the night before and would get there about 30 minutes early to get the seats we wanted. For the pool, we would get there around 8 to get loungers in the shade. Never saw any sign of soot, although the deck floor did get very hot. The issue was not many chairs in the shade. Getting on and off, not bad, kind of a long line but moved once it started. The only issue we really had was lack of entertainment. The shows became very repetitive with the same singers and dancers. After the main shows there were not a lot of options, other than just different music. One other thing, the elevators. We usually would get one one in a minute or 2. I much prefer Royal, because of all the different activities and alternate free food options. But would not hesitate to book Msc again, in fact going on Seashore in Nov. The ships are beautiful and found the crew to be very friendly!!’
  5. I was on the odyssey two weeks ago. I really loved the inside of the ship! The entertainment was also really good. Liked the vibe in the music room. The pool area was very small with limited seating around the pool. I got up every at sea day at 6:30 to get chairs. There was always multiple chairs already taken. One lady slept on her blanket and said she had been there since 5:00. The staff was already tagging chairs at 6:30 and did remove towels and items all morning. They would put sticky notes on the back of the chair. I did like the location of El Loco, so close. I also visited the buffet, much more than usual and really liked the layout. The biggest issue I had was dinner. We thought going in that dinner was at 5:30. That afternoon I found out it was now 5:00, which is ridiculously early. A lot of people must of been confused, because they made an announcement during dinner that dinner was at 5 and not 5:30. A couple of nights we ended up not making it and this is the first time in all of our cruises. I talked to the head waiter and he said 3/4 of people on the cruise wanted early dinner, so they moved it to 5 and late to 7:45 to hope more people would take late. I will be sure to check this going forward. All in all I really loved the ship and would for sure book it again.
  6. I was on Odyssey two weeks ago. On Lobster night, was able to order both lobster and tortellini and both were brought out at the same time, without even being asked. In fact, the head waiter came over and took care of taking the lobster out of the shell. Also the first night they brought out multiple apps at the same time and we asked going forward if they could only bring one out at a time, and no problem going forward.
