Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Wow I also checked the other categories left and there are only around TOTAL rooms left! Looks like we have a very popular sailing!!
  2. My cruise is still several weeks out and I put in a bid for a YC balcony ($2800) 🤮🤢☠️. When I check the regular MSC website I see there are only 8 total balcony YC rooms left. Does the current inventory reflect the true amount of rooms left? Do I have ANY chance or should I not get my hopes up? Has anyone won a bid with only a small amount of rooms left? How often do bids go through?
  3. You don’t say 🤣🤣🤣! Lol thanks I’ll give them a call! Thanks for sharing lol.
  4. This will be our first MSC cruise and have booked Fantastica Balcony. We recently received upgrade bid options. Does anyone know what the prices are based upon? Does everyone get the same offers (on the same sailing)? We would have loved to try YC but the bid is $1400 PP (x2). Does this seem normal for a balcony YC upgrade? Any info or suggestions for first timers would be amazing. Thanks so much!
  5. I cant find anywhere on the site to do this- DH has booked a massage and thermal spa package and I would like to cancel one. Can I do this and how do I go about doing it? Should I call? Thanks!
  6. Unfortunately the Marriott platinum was only silver! Crazy right! Waiting to hear about Hilton gold!
  7. Hello! I tried asking on the status match sticky but I didnt get any replies. I was hoping someone could help me on this. I booked a cruise through a travel agent (our first time on MSC). Only the deposit has been made so far. I just learned about the status match program but didnt realize we could use Mariott/Hilton! DH has both but not me. At first, he applied his American Express platinum membership and was told he could have silver. After doing a bit more research, I THINK that MSC will give you higher status with Hilton Gold (which he has). He just "reapplied" to MSC this morning with the Hilton. Does anyone know: 1. Will Hilton Gold be matched to MSC Gold? 2. Since he already "applied" with his AMEX platinum, will he have any issue changing it to hilton? 3. Since we will be either gold or silver, can we apply the cruise discount to the current cruise since it technically already booked yet not paid in full? I really appreciate anyone who could help! Thanks!!
  8. Sorry to add… we are so new to this! we are Marriott platinum and Hilton gold. Is one better? What are the current matches? Thanks so much!!
  9. Anyone recently tripped for Marriott platinum? Is it silver or gold?
  10. We have never done the balcony guarantee before as we have always chosen our state room. I was wondering if anyone has done this on the mariner of the seas and if in fact, the balconies are facing the ocean as opposed to the internal shopping area? Thank you in advance.!!
  11. The wording is confusing to me and I was hoping someone could clarify! Traveling on seaside (fantastica). Is room service free? It said “Free Delivery”!? Does that mean you pay for the food or something? I also read free bbewakfast delivery but what about the other meals lol? Are there menus? Are there fees? I can’t seem to find a clear answer in this. Thank you!!
  12. Man you guys are awesome… these were my thoughts, but having never cruised MSC, I wanted to ask the experts. It also appears I’m watching old out of date videos of what offered lol!! We are totally going to skip it and are totally content with our balcony room! Yacht club would be amazing but it’s almost 3x what we payed (no insides left). Thank you again everyone for helping!! I hope I can do the same someday!
  13. I think we got a pretty awesome deal for DH and DD for a 7 night cruise with fantastica experience. We were also able to take advantage of the easy plus drink package that is included with the fantastica. I was wondering if anyone thinks it is worth $800 to switch to the aurea experience? I have read the perks offered for each package but wondering if anyone has done both and if you think it’s worth the $800 even with drink package included with fantastica. Can DD even use the thermal spa? Is a massage included? Thank everyone!
  14. Yes I’m sorry. We are fantastica. What time of dining will we get? Can we request a private table for the 3 of us? so what exactly is the sofa bed? any other places that offer food at night (or day) except for the formal restaurants and buffet? Is the buffet 24 hours? thanks for your help so far!!!!
  15. We haven't cruised in over 12 years (kids, life, etc) but have decided to recently book on MSC for a week this fall (new to MSC) ! We have read horrid reviews on the Seaside out of Canaveral but are trying to take them with a grain of salt! I am SO glad I found this forum. I thank all of you for the countless advice and reviews! We have a few quick questions please! 1. We are a party of 3 (2 adults, one 10 year old). Our room is balcony, midship and shows a "triangle" online. Is the couch a pullout or something? I havent seen anything about an "open" couch to sleep more than 2. 2. Dining- yes we are the less popular late diners.....but how does dining work on MSC....we have no clue!!! Is it anytime dining and can we get our own table for 3? We would really prefer 8:30-9:30 dining times if possible. 3. Can we order what we like or is it one app/dinner/dessert? There may be some nights we would maybe like a few apps and split one dinner. 4. Will we have the same server every night? 5. Room service- where can I find menus and is this included? If not, what are the prices? 6. My goodness we have read the service is horrible....is it hard to get a cocktail? 7. Is there any sort of late night dining (if not dining in the main restaurant)? In the garage bar? Anywhere? If so, are there menus? Thank you everyone...we have so many questions and are so grateful for the input. We are constantly looking for videos and menus for everything...not sure if there are any other recommendations for us. Hope to talk to you all soon!
