Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Did you change once on board or were you able to call ahead of time?
  2. this is what I was looking for, thank you!!
  3. We have a baby who will be in a pack n play on our October cruise. We originally booked an interior room, not really thinking through the PNP situation. Our room is going to be TIGHT and we will basically be confined to our bed during naps and once he goes to bed. We have the option to try and RoyalUp to an Oceaview or Neighborhood balcony room, which would at lease allow us to sit on the balcony during naps or until we are ready to go to bed. Since we cant choose the location, I am nervous about getting put in a location with alot of noise and having the disrupt the babies sleep. Im fully aware this is part of the RoyalUp gamble and that the rule is you cant change locations after they are assigned. But my question is, has anyone had experience being in a noisy room and being able to switch once on board upon request and availability? I would think they would rather have a happy customer and switch them to another room if available instead of saying 'well thats the RoyalUp rule so youre out of luck' It is also very expensive to upgrade on our own at this point as the prices have more than doubled since we booked, so that really isnt an option.
  4. the prices are so much higher now than when we booked, it would cost us 2k more to do the upgrade on our own which is more than what our total was originally
  5. Sorry about that i meant the central park rooms not promenade
  6. We are cruising with our 17 month old and are currently in the smallest interior room possible on Harmony of the Seas, and it is going to be tighttt with a pack n play. We received our Royal Up offers today. One of the options we are interested in is the neighborhood balcony room. We are traveling with 8 other families and 5 of them are currently in the promenade balcony rooms. We like the idea of this room for a few reasons. 1) it offers us a balcony to sit on during nap time/when baby goes to bed. 2) the setup would be better with a pack n play and give the ability to have it on the other side of the room so we dont have to maeuver around it to go to the bathroom. 3) the location is a little more narrowed down as opposed to an ocean view balcony which could be literally anywhere on this ship. I wanted to know how bad the noise is on the boardwalk side? I think we would be ok on the central park side but I also know we could end up on the boardwalk side. I'm not overly concerned with how noisy it is during the day as we wont be in the room much other than for our son to nap for an hour or 2 (we have a sound machine that will hopefully drown out enough noise) but what time does the noise wind down at night? We did already put in an upgrade request for an ocean view ultra spacious room but there are only like 8 total on the ship, so while we know where the exact area of the ship we would be (and we are fine with that area) I'm not too hopeful we will get the upgrade due to the small amount.
  7. I didnt think about that, thats a good idea. thanks!
  8. I got married a few years ago and changed my last name, but havent had a need to update it on my passport yet. My question is, if I use my birth certificate and drivers license as my form of ID, my birth certificate name is in my maiden name and my license is in my married name (cruise is booked under married name). Will my marriage certificate be sufficient to provide with the birth certificate and ID to show the name change, or should I spend the money to get my passport updated instead?
  9. Our room layout doesnt come with a sofa, just a chair. He would be a little too young for the sofa i think even if we did have one. I am definitely going to try RoyalUp! We dont really care about the ocean view so anything with more space or a balcony would definitely be a plus.
  10. Since the baby is in a crib he didnt need a designated sleeping space (bed/pull out couch) and the 4 person room was the same layout but with a couch instead of a chair, but significantly more expensive due to it being a 4 person room
  11. We are flying to port so between the stroller and car seat i think bringing our own pack and play also is just too much. If we were driving i would definitely do that. We will be bringing our own pack n play sheets though. I'm hoping if we have them remove the chair in the room the slumber pod/pack n play will fit ok. I know it will be tight but I'd rather have less walking space than a baby who is up all night because he can see us. I wish I thought this through when we first booked and just picked a bigger room, but now the prices are much higher to upgrade.
  12. It doesnt let you book that way online but when we called RC to book over the phone they allowed it
  13. Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas, it is an interior room (2 person not 4)
