I‘d guess they would beed to make larger changes than that. Ideally they would increase the capacity of the yacht club restaurant. I have the feeling it might be already too late to make such large changes to the design at this point in time.

giving your bracelet away is even worse! but you got a point. That is harder to check. however having worked in the industry, let me tell you one thing: when they can automatically route your photos to your account with the help of biometric analysis, do not make the mistake of thinking they are not using it for more. this means basically whenever you pass by a camera (and there are a lot of them) they know exactely who you are and WHERE you are. it is easy for them to know that there are people coming in. The reason for msc to not act differently must be any other reasons…

In my opinion they should simply charge a daily rate of the price for the cruise from those passangers that they find in the Yacht Club that don't belong there and send them out afterwards. It is easy to identify them as most YC guests will wear their wrist band, and others can be checked for a cruise card. Even if one would come up with the argument that regular YC guest should not be harrassed by controls, i'd say that the staff nearly knows any YC guest anyway, since they are trained to and have to remember their names anyway.

I can confirm this by information a friend provided, who currently is on the ship. The place used to be the "la brasserie" buffet restaurant on deck 19. So it is on the other side of the ship of the top sail lounge. The reason is not to try out new or more casual ways of presenting dinner. It is simply because too many people complained about the waiting time at the yacht club restaurant. And the waiting time apparently is due to the bad design of the ship. There are way more guests in the yacht club than on older ships and at the same time the YC restaurant does not hold significantly more people.
