Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. La Baie cruise port location is PERMANENTLY CLOSED in 2024. I had sent a request to National asking when they would be opening for the season, and they responded that the location is permanently closed. They may have a location in Chicoutimi however the one that used to be right next to the cruise port is no longer open.
  2. I first book direct on cunard.com, then contact my Cunard TA the very next day to a) review the room selection (she has 20 years of experience w the Cunard ships - and knows the rooms / locations to find the right fit for your situation), and b) review the fare for any specials. Closer to sailing, she is a single point of contact for any questions and concerns. So far this works fabulous. She's been able to advise on room locations and was there for us when QM2 cancelled last minute on the May 2023 crossing. She's very conscientious to address anything I ask about.
  3. I'm planning on a world cruise in 2025 on Queen Anne lasting 98 days. I will be Platinum status so will receive $80 internet credit, presumably once for the entire 98 day voyage. Seems awfully light, that's not even a dollar a day. The terms on cunard.com are confusing, they say "During World Voyages your benefits will be reset at the end of each segment, as defined by Cunard. ... On longer voyages (which are made up of multiple voyages) you will receive one set of benefits only." Do you know how the internet benefit works on super long voyages works? Is it truly just once and done, or will it reset and be offered periodically? Thanks
