  1. Say.... By chance did you notice if March Madness basketball games were on TBS? Or was it Mexican TBS and no college Basketball?

    Thanks!

    (A Bracket fan) haha

You are correct-it is Mexican TBS, but all the movies were in English. I just got off the Dream and the only place to watch the basketball games was at the casino bar. Some days they has rows of chairs set up stadium style in front of the bar.

  2. Had it on both of my cards this morning but as soon as I put it on one card it disappeared from the other. This happened last time as well. I guess they don't want you using more than one.

You need to open a new tab or browser for each of your cards using the same username and login. Then select the offer for each card. Do this before selecting an offer if you have it on multiple cards.

  3. Our last 12 cruises have been either a Premier cruise or a Bounce-Back cruise. The amount of cash that you receive with your Premier cruise depends on your play and/or your offer. I received a "Free interior Cabin" and no cash. Hubby's offer was for a discounted cabin and $600 in cash. So of course, we took the free cabin. We just got off the Breeze on Sunday.

I hope your husband collected his $600. My Premier cruises are for a free interior plus a couple hundred cash. My husbands is for reduced rates and a couple hundred cash. We book under my offer, but we both collect the cash.

  4. No bashing, please. Help your fellow Carnival cruiser if you can.

For those who have group coverage through their employer or an exchange, medical evacuation is normally covered. However, medical repatriation to get you home is not normally covered. This is especially true if your insurance has in out of network benefits. Normally excluded for out of network providers, which most likely will be the case.

  5. Used gift card in case the safe is a card-swipe type. Plastic hangars and clothes pins from the dollar store for wet clothes-for $2, don't bother to take home. Magnetic hooks for the walls. Great for clothes, hats, etc.

And last but not least, a pillow top mattress pad in a vacuum compression bag. Totally cannot handle the hard mattresses. The room steward will gladly help compress it with his/her vacuum when it's time to go home.

  6. The friends and family certificate is only valid for the original cruise you book while onboard. If you switch cruises, it's no longer valid. I actually asked this question during my last cruise. This is assuming the gentleman manning the Future Cruise desk knew what he was talking about.

And remember, when you change to a different cruise, you want to TRANSFER your original booking. Your booking number needs to remain the same in order for the onboard credit to stay attached.

  7. Didn't see this mentioned yet. There is a new statement credit offer out from American Express. Check your account!

  8. Statement on my last Premier cruise mailing:

Guest must earn a minimum of 7,500 points in the casino on board one (1) of the 2017 Premier Cruises advertised in order to qualify for a 2017 ULTRA Premier Cruise.

I know there was a greater demand than supply for ULTRA cruises. Guess this new restriction will reduce the number of folks that get "sorry, sold out".

  9. Check your American Express offers in your online account. A new offer came out today for a $30 statement credit for $150 Lowe's purchase. Lowe's sells variable load Carnival gift cards.

Get a one-time $30 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $150+ in one or more transactions in-store at Lowe's or online at lowes.com or LowesForPros.com by 10/31/2016.

  10. I also purchased $1500 worth of Carnival gift card from Amazon in December for the Chase Freedom offer. My intent was to apply to my S&S account for my April cruise. Informed by guest services that six of the $100 cards had zero dollar balances. After the cruise, I was able to find out they were already redeemed prior to my cruise. Spent weeks with Amazon and Carnival trying to get some resolution. Amazon sent me back to Carnival. Carnival sent me back to Amazon. Just a continuous circle. Carnival was very explicit that they could not help me because I did not purchase the gift cards from them. I filed a dispute with my credit card, but it was denied because too much time had passed.

I'm just amazed that Amazon doesn't provide better protection since they are selling on behalf of someone else. Guess I'm just naive.

  11. These are the PREMIER cruise offers that are displaying on my calendar:

    10/23 Breeze 7 day

    10/29 Conquest 8 day

    10/30 Splendor 6 day

    11/5 Splendor 8 day

    11/6 Breeze 7 day

    11/12 Miracle 7 day

    11/13 Dream 7 day

    11/25 Magic 8 day

    11/27 Splendor 7 day

    12/4 Conquest 6 day

    12/10 Glory 7 day

    12/11 Breeze 7 day

    12/18 Pride 8 day

  12. Question for those in the know.....

During my cruise earlier this year, I booked a future 4 day cruise with the full intent of transferring to a different cruise. The 4 day cruise is eligible for $50 onboard credit.

Today, I transferred the booking to an 8 day cruise, but my booking is only showing $50 onboard credit. Shouldn't I now be eligible for $100 onboard credit? This is my first experience with bookin onboard.

  13. There's another eBay flash sale today - $15 off $75 purchase. This applies to almost all eBay items including Carnival Gift cards. 14. Ebay is having a flash sale until 9pm PT today, 3/13. $20 off $100 purchase. I just used this to buy a Carnival gift card. Must use Paypal. Here's the rest of the information:

I have collected sooo many discounted gift cards over the past couple of months. Casino here I come:D

  15. You can purchase from PayPal Digital Gifts on eBay and pay via PayPal. Myself and many others purchased late last year when they (PayPal Digital Gifts) had a promo on Carnival gift cards. I had no problems and did not hear about issues from anyone else. There is a thread somewhere on this board about it.

  16. I was on an Elite cruise last September. While playing in the casino, the regular rules associated with the "Drinks on Us" card apply. Outside of the casino, we were told to charge drinks to our room and they would be taken care of. The last day, quite a few people had to track down the VIP casino hosts because their bills had not been adjusted. I know of at least one couple who had a bill in excess of $1000 and they had no issues getting it adjusted.

The Elite cruise also included a paid excursion, dinner at the steak house, cash drawings with $$ amounts that were about double on a Premier cruise and a slot tournament with increases payout. There wew multiple other drawings. The people were alot of fun. Glad I was able to go.

For the past couple of years, my casino offers have been all over the place, from a couple of hundred $$ to the Elite cruise which was an ocean suite + cash. My play/amount of points rarely changes. Like others, I just don't understand the fluctuation.

  17. I can confirm that none of the liquor stores around the port sells CSR. Was told they might be able to get some from their distributor if contacted ahead of time, but I have no idea who to contact!

I'm hoping to get some CSR and Guavaberry when I am in St. Maarten next month.
