I know that you can't make reservations for the Cavern Club but I would like to avoid conflicts when I am booking other shows and meals. When you board is there any info available as to when the Beatle shows are on so I do not book a meal or Footloose at the same time?,

Thanks. Hopefully it will be the same for us. What about debarking in Montreal? Surely, CBSA must check you somewhere or it would be quite a smuggling loophole. 

OP here. Keep in mind that we will not be returning to the US on the ship, so somewhere along the way Canadians will have to do the declaration dance for the authorities. Also, as regards ArriveCan. it is no longer mandatory but can be used instead of the declaration form and depending on the process, it can get you to a shorter line. 

On a Canada- New -England cruise from NY, our first Canadian port is Halifax, a noon-time arrival. I am wondering what to expect process-wise and time-wise from Canadian Customs. Does this differ depending on your citizenship? We are Canadian so I presume it will be similar to arriving back in Canada after a cross-border trip and that filling out ArriveCan app may exoedite process. Anyone out there, especially Canadians, have experience with this scenario?

We have a cruise from NY to Quebec in September. Our first Canaduan port is Halifax, a noon time arrival. What can we expect from CBSA time-wise? When we cruised into an American port of call in May from Bermuda, it took over 3 hours for everyone to clear US customs before they could get off the ship. Can we expect a similar experience entering our first Canaduan port?

Thanks but that list won't include the Cavern club,which is my main concern. I hope to have the theatre shows booked before boarding and don't care about the comedy shows which I  know are the ones people line up to reserve. I must say the apps I have used on other lines have the whole week laid out so you can plan better. Ironic because, imho, NCL has. more entertainment to plan for. at least until the teardown begins! 

I want to reserve our one FAS specialty restaurant so it doesn't conflict with desired entertainment. When we board does the app have the entertainment schedule for the whole cruise or just day by day? I am talking about the Joy if that is relevant.

I need to revive this  topic.  I have just been upgraded because of a price drop so I need to cancel my upgrade bid. However, I can't locate the original upgrade email  and can find no reference to it on my account. I need to do this fast because I fear once they put the bid through I will have  a big problem trying to undo it. 

In Halifax you can get one not far from the ship in the outside food court along the Harbourwalk. Also, good fish and chips and  Cows ice cream for dessert. Some places close after Labour Day.

Do you remember how many performances of Footloose and Elements there were? And the Beatles? Did they have a Beatles show in the theatre as well? Any other bands in the Cavern Club? Thanks

To clafify my question, I am not talkinh about specific staterooms. I am referring to classes of cabins, eg, balcony, large balcony or club balcony.,

I don't want one, just a shower. So what staterooms should I avoid?

Thanks. I was reading the Uber App incorrectly and thought it  was over $30. Now I see my mistake. Where is the closest spot I should order the Uber from. I think I read someone mentioned the Design Building? 

Is there a cheaper alternative than an Uber which doesn't involve transferring from bus to red line to whatever? In other words I want reasonable price without spending hours studying the Boston underground. One bus or subway line would work but not interested in becoming the man who never returned as the old song phrased it.

I was on this cruise. The captain announced that there were 2 COVID cases and changed the buffet to non-self-serve. No announcements about norovirus. 

That entertainment reference, is that for all passengers? 

What shows were fully booked? Footloose? When did you first try to book?, i was hoping that I could get reservations after the "upper class" have made their bookings. 

If there are 2 people in the cabin, and only one wants to do an excursion, would they get the $50 credit against their fare?  Seems like a no brainer but I never like to assume with cruise policy, especially since the online booking automatically assumes both

Are there video poker machines or just slots? 

Our Summit cruise goes from Bermuda to Charleston  back to Bayonne. Do we go thru Customs in Charleston or Bayonne? Or both?
