  1. We took a taxi right from the port.  They will ask you where you want to go.  We said Atlantis and there were three others that wanted to go.  It was $5 each and someone had to pay the $2 bridge fee (just one $2).  She dropped us off at the bottom of the hill and we had to walk up to the entrance.  Going back she said we would have to walk down the hill (as the driver told us).  We did and the taxi driver that picked us up said we could have gotten  a taxi from the entrance to the Atlantis and saved us the walk down the hill.  The hill is not that bad.  Again, you may need more than 2 people for the $5.

We also went to Baha Mar another time and took the jitney from town for $1.50 pp each way.  Jitney drops you off by the resort at the street but there is a long, up hill walk to the resort.  Baha Mar was really empty.  We prefer Atlantis for the casino.

Since the sail date is kind of hectic, I proposed meeting at lunchtime (12:30) in the buffet area. I will have a Cruise Critic sign of some form or other to identify myself. Others are on board with this effort.   Thanks for asking.

What day is this exactly for the meeting?

They don't care what empty containers you bring on board, they just don't want you to smuggle on vodka 😆.  Bring on whatever empty container you want!

Thanks for your reply.  We will bring small bottles and fill them in the cabin.  We like to have some water next to the bed side.

; Baha Mar will have more to do if that matters to your family. We arrived at 10 and all the prime loungers were taken, so I would suggest getting there earlier; I think they open at 8 AM.

What was the cost for the resort pass at Baha Mar?  Only been to the casino there via jitney last year.

As far as I've seen there are no changes in what's available at Governors Beach. If you want food and drink you have to bring it with you.  If only going to GB, golf cart is a waste of $.  You're 3/4 the way there by the time you get outside the port to the rental sites. Taxi rates are $4 per person.  But not sure about catching a taxi back to the cruise center.

Still no chair rentals?  Are there still picnic tables?

  6. Been to Governor's Beach a few times some years ago.  It was very secluded.  There were clean rest rooms and foot showers.  There were no chair rentals.  But need chairs now.  I think there were colorful picnic tables then.  We walked there from the beach and onto the road by Jack's Shack then onto Governor's Beach.  This time we would like to taxi there.  Should we look into a golf cart rental?  Any info would be most appreciated.

Will be going to GT this April.
