  1. From years of police work, most thefts are crimes of opportunity. Purses left unattended in a public area, valuables left on beach blankets, valuables and cash left out in hotel rooms. Thieves come in all sizes and shapes. We arrested a woman who was extremely wealthy for a series of hotel thefts, she liked the thrill. Avoid standing out be Joe average when going off the ship and secure things in your room before you leave.

  2. Don t become a victim. On the shore leave all jewelry even custome in the safe on the ship. Be aware when walking of the people around you. Men keep your wallet in your front pocket and put some rubber bands around it. On the ship lock up everything before you leave the room and if traveling with a lap top store inside a piece of locked luggage stored under the bed. Make safety a priority

  3. A friend of mine always claims chair hog seats and usually no one shows up. When he s done he takes the saving towel and other saving items to the towel bin and drops the saving items there also. If someone comes to claim the chairs he tells them Princess changed the rules and that towels on chairs means they are not saved and ready for anyones use. Reserved chair placards can be obtained for $100 at the Pursers desk.

  4. DW announced at her bridge club that Princess was droping Duplicate Bridge and the reaction from members was anger and dismay. Many members who had cruised Princess said they would begin to search for alternative cruise lines. Two Elite cruisers said they start their research imediately and were thinking of cancelling future cruises. It appears that this decision by Princess is a deal breaker for many.

  5. We are long time Princess cruisers who have enjoyed on the multi sea day cruises ie. Transatlantic , Panama Canal, etc. playing duplicate bridge. These sessions were hosted by a bridge master who over saw the games. Princess has done away with this activity and now we are in search of another cruise line that provides bridge sessions. We would appreciate feedback on Celebrity bridge sessions. Thanks

  6. DW came home from the Bridge Club and said that as of May 2014 Princess would no longer be having Bridge Masters aboard to run the afternoon bridge sessions. A club member whose friend cruises with Princess told him he had heard this on a recent cruise. I find this distressing as DW might infringe on my afternoon nap time. Any updates would be appreciated.

  7. The Princess train tour of Berlin was a wonderful experience. Unlike trains in the USA this train had 4 person compartments and sped through the German countryside. The car attendants were students who were very interesting to talk to. When the train returns to the dock next to ship in the evening we never expected to be greeted by the crew waving to us and cheering we missed you. This is a great tour.

  8. We have sailed with Lisa before and enjoyed her enthusiasm and hard work. She was always on, maybe too perky for some but I believe thats just the way she is. Never saw her big time a passenger or act condesending towards one.

I really don't understand why cruisers get hung up on who the cruise director is.
