We had the same cabin two floors down so I can't comment on the noise but I can give you and idea what it will look like from the inside.

We loved this cabin.  I love aft cabins. They have the best views.  Bed placement should be the same.

Thank you soo much! I loved the video and just showed my dh. We love the aft cabins too! Use to always sail on the Navigator and Explorer in the aft corner cabins. They were huge! Did the Odyssey aft cabin vibrate going into port?

I do hope my bed is by the balcony.

Do you have any pictures from the ship or comments or suggestions. I cant find too much ship information. Pros and cons?

  2. Hi.

This will be my first time sailing back with Royal since 2018 and we booked Odyssey for April 2025.

The last balcony 4D in the absolute aft is 12726, which I booked today, however it sits under the suite lounge.

While I do have almost 2 years to watch other 4D aft balconies become available, today I booked 12726.

First, how do I find out if the bed is by the balcony?

In doing a search about the Odyssey, I can't find too may pictures on CC, only online.

I don't find too many reviews either.

Is above due to the fact that it isn't sailing in US at this time?

I'm wondering if there will be much noise in my cabin with the suite lounge above me (although thinking it will be

    carpeted) and other negatives.

Also, my dh and I are Diamond on RCCL. Do we get any specialty restaurants due to being Diamond?

We are getting one specialty dinner with the TA booking.

We have been to Labadee but not CoCo Cay and thinking about booking the private area there and making sure we can do it

    if not in a suite.

My TA has us in a group rate, which is over $1K less than RCCL site and we will be leaving from NJ, which the port is only about 20

minutes from my home so figured we will give the Odyssey a try since it will be April/Spring break and we don't have to worry about flights (although I LOVED the Allure with the neighborhoods but Oasis class will be leaving out of Florida).

    Thank you very much!

Yes. Just redeem them on-line.  My OBC always appears within a few days.  Some have said that they may delay posting until after final payment, but that has not been my experience.  Can use the OBC for anything in the planner or even for on-board expenses.

Thank you very much! That would be perfect.

Several spirits on the NCL premium package are included in the RCL package, also included in Royals package is specialty coffee.  Looks like Royals average prices are around 90 pp pd. NCL premium is around $129 pp pd. Royal adds 18% gratuity and NCL adds 20%. Same ship same sail date can be in a range of 20% with royal based on time of purchase and discounts through the cruise planner.

Yes. Thank you. I appreciate this information.

  5. Hi.
Is it possible to purchase the alcohol package with OBC from bith the TA and CCL give us or do we need to purchase on ship?

Does it ever go on sale? Doing four nights on Freedom.

    Thank you.

Really happy you loved the location of your cabin as I remember you were concerned originally.     Stayed in that location twice (once in a Haven and once in a non Haven Suite) and absolutely loved the location.   As I said previously, we did not miss being inside the Haven as it took less than a minute to get there.  And then a minute to get the the DBH!

LOL, yes. Thank you. I, too, would absolutely book there again. I missed cruising. It was our first one since pandemic. Will be booking another soon 🙂

That's a heck of a good price!! Especially on a ship with a real Haven.

I just wanted to thank you SO much for your advice on the Joy and booking my HJ cabin on Deck 14 by the elevators! It was the first time we were booked outside the Courtyard and I would 100% do it again, given the location on where we were! My dh was skeptical but I held my ground and he agrees, we would book again outside the Courtyard as long as we are right next to the forward elevators.

Pre cruise I asked for a lounger (was going to do when on but figured can't hurt to ask) and it was also already on my balcony. Loved our butler, room steward and the assistant concierge Mr. X.

    Cheers!

  8. I LOVE this thread and hope it will stay afloat and be more for future bookings but I thought I got a good deal for my August 13 Joy HJ cabin, which was $2,700 per person with my TA AND I had a $1000 FCC (2 $500) It was the first time we have booked outside the Courtyard, but we were right by the elevators on Deck 14 and I think unless I get a winning upgrade bid or a fab price, I will always book outside Haven by elevators again. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be LOL

I want to add to this that you may or may not spend a lot of time on your balcony. I had the Haven Penthouse suite outside of the Haven proper and we had the bigger balcony that came with a lounger. We honestly didn't even utilize it that much. You may be better off keeping it as is as the lounger does take up alot of space if you don't have the larger balcony.

We are on the same cruise and yes, we sail Haven on NCL and I love the Haven sundeck, but if we are just in the cabin, I would use it. I will ask and see how it goes.

Hey there! We were in 14180. Here's how our balcony looked. We requested the lounger through my husband's PCC and it was there, along with the two chairs and table! Tight fit, but it definitely worked. I'm sad to admit I didn't use the lounger nearly as much as I thought I would. Blame that on the Haven Sundeck!

I'm so excited for you! You're going to love Joy! Head up to the sundeck around sunset'ish. No one will be around, enjoy the sunset from a hot tub. Some of the best moments I've had were from those two hot tubs.

Thank you sooo much for this perfect picture! I appreciate your taking the time to find and upload for me! I think I will request from pre concierge and if ot there, the butler.

    THANK YOU!!!!!

  11. @cruiseny4life Did you have cabin 14182 or very close on Joy. I think it was you that told me to get the cabin you had if I was booking an HJ and it was gone so I booked the one next door. I'm asking because we sail in less than two weeks and want to know if the balcony can fit a lounger. If it can, I want add to my butler letter (thank you @Sthrngary) and add to the tip.

    Thank you!

You don't need any tags to get off first Haven or not. Easy walk off is first, never used any tags.... maybe we were supposed to. If you are in the Haven you can go to the Haven lounge at the set time, you will get a letter. It will also be posted at the concierge desk the day before. Just keep in mind you need to take all your luggage with you.

You can use the gold tags and do easy walk off but you will be waiting for your luggage. Don't ask me how I know Lol

Yes, thank you. We sail Haven on NCL and take our luggage off with us so we arent waiting for it. I was just wondering approx what time was first disembarkation.
