Has anyone cashed in their points for a 3/4 or 7 night cruise? I'm saving for the 7 night Caribbean cruise but am wondering what the restrictions are. Thanks!

We received the email on Friday, January 27th. The email stated "Due to port congestion and in order to enhance the guest experience, the itinerary has been revised as follows:"

I'm sailing on the NCL Sky Oct 2nd Quebec to Baltimore cruise that originally included Bar Harbor and Portland, Maine. They have both been replaced with Saint John, NB and NYC. I'm glad I visited Bar Harbor in 2016, but most of our group have never been and were disappointed with the change.

My Canada/NE cruise is this October and I have a lot of the ports booked, but I only book private tours. The good tour companies will book up, so if you find something, book it!

Thanks!
The new itinerary is posted in my reservation, so hopefully the message will soon disappear and I can check pricing as normal.

is no longer available. Please make another selection."
My Quebec to Baltimore October Sky cruise had an itinerary change last week, and today this message is received when attempting a mock booking. 🤔
Anyone experience this message before a cruise cancellation?

At this point it seems like the backup plan is only available if you are willing to pay considerably out of pocket. I will keep searching as my cruise is not till 11/28 and if I find something more reasonably I will be sure to post about it.

The Largo location offers PCR and rapid tests at no cost. I ordered the tests from Celebrity, but planning this as my back-up.

I ordered the same test that is on Celebrity's approved list... Abbott BinaxNow test from CVS and it arrived in a week... for much less than the Celebrity price... $23.99 for a 2 pack of tests. Shipped to my home.
The info about tests is in the FAQ section... and while I haven't looked to see what other home tests are supervised online (per the answer in FAQ), the Abbott BinaxNow test is.
There is an "OTC" located on the bottom left of the packaging. This means "Over The Counter". The tests ordered from Celebrity will have an "RX" on the packaging.

I spoke with the Manager of the Ships Shops last night. The officers have been making their rounds of Retreat nightly. Usually different officers each night.
I asked the question of crew needing supplies. He said they dramatically increased the size of the crew shop to supply all the crews need. He did say that many crew are ordering on services like Amazon and have it sent to Port Everglades where the ship receive them on turnaround day.
Since Equinox is currently ported in Port Everglades they have no problems.
Off topic - Iain often uses Amazon for Xmas shopping for his family back in Scotland. He found it is easiest to purchase from Amazon UK site and gets free delivery in a day or so. When he tried doing it through the U.S. site he ran into some problems and expensive shipping. This may have changed.
I follow a YouTuber; "Aboard with Jord" who is in the ice skating cast on Adventure of the Seas based in Nassau. She said when she places orders from Amazon it takes about 5 months for her to receive her items! She said the items arrive in Port Everglades for pick-up. Maybe it takes so long because she's based in Nassau?! Who knows, but I was shocked!

Midway down on the screen that appears when I click the person icon.Thank you. Nope, I got nothing! I'm on the Connie, first cruise out of Tampa. I've read that the "firsts" are lagging on check-in.
And I wait.....

Update: buried in the app, it now says our check in will open on October 19 (which is 44 days before our cruise). I wonder if it will have saved any of the info I inputted (including our photos and passports) when check in opened on September 4 . . . I’m not holding my breath. 🤣Where in the app did you find this?

Since everyone is making recommendations, consider anything by Tim Dorsey or Carl Hiassen for some good laughs about Florida. Hiassen's Skinny Dip is a classic about cruising...
Just bought Skinny Dip on Ebay for $3.80...free shipping! Thanks for the recommendation!

Hello. Could someone please help me verify if this test result will be accepted by Celebrity? We scheduled the "Diagnostic Lab Test (PCR)" at Walgreens on September 7, 9:30AM PDT, and got the results today, September 8, 8:30PM PDT. We will fly to Seattle tomorrow, September 9, 12:25PM PDT for our September 10 Alaska sailing. We got the results below and just wanted to make sure it is okay. We scheduled the PCR Test in particular but the results below did not specifically say this. This is our first time doing the COVID test (and sailing), and not very familiar with the tests. Would appreciate any help so we could schedule a different test ASAP if needed.
From https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/faqs#testing-and-screening-faqs:
"This test may be taken as either a PCR or an Antigen test, conducted within two days of boarding the vessel."
Your test must be dated the 8th or 9th for sailing on the 10th.

In that case, you will be allowed to board the ship and travel. The cruise line cannot hold your niece's "no-show" action against you. Such things have happened long before there was any such thing as CoViD-19.
It is particularly significant that your niece "will not be staying with [you] pre-cruise." The cruise line therefore cannot be concerned that you could have caught the disease from her.
It is likely -- maybe even a sure thing -- however, that she will receive no refund of her cruise fare, since you will be occupying the stateroom.
Advice: Eat her food, as well as your own!
Sorry, that was crass. Instead, we should be pitying your niece for becoming ill and losing her money -- and we should be pitying you for losing your traveling companion. We hope that your trip will not be a bad experience for you.
.
Thank you! I'm hoping all this nervousness is for nothing.

I read this as if your traveling companion tests positive you cant go. Doesn't matter if they live with you. You travel with them and get tested in the port city and you are screwed
I'm not traveling to the ship with them. If they test positive 2 days before, they won't come at all.

So glad you're asking since I asked this very question. Here is what I plan to do: SOLO HERE I COME! Actually there's other friends/family sailing, too. If I happen to test positive, I will be home. I would not expect a refund, and wouldn't hold anything against my travel roomie.
I do land-based get-a-ways with several girlfriends and the rule is if they cancel, then they forfeit their share of the hotel/activities, whatever is prepaid and non-refundable.

Thanks for posting.
Hmmm....I sail in November. I wonder if this is the case even if you don't live together, or see one another before the cruise? I don't want to give up my vaca!

I'm cruising with my niece who will be flying in the day before we cruise (not staying with me pre-cruise.) If she tests positive after taking the COVID test, am I now a solo cruiser? Has anyone had this experience? Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Thank you so much! Why can't the reps explain this message just as clearly?!😁

Hello!
I am going to book a cruise for February '22 using 2 $450 FCC's. If RCCL decides to allow private excursions, I'd like to move my reservation to another cruise. The agent sounded as though he was guessing when giving me his answer.🙄 Can I move this reservation and apply my $900 to another cruise? Also, what if I need to cancel all-together....do I have until 48 hours before sailing to do so?
Thank you so much!
