I don’t understand why you can’t book connecting cabins without a travel agent. In any event, the balcony dividers on Adventure do not open.

I was under the impression that 2 bottles per cabin was allowed. I've heard that in order to get around that some people in the same cabin each bring 2 bottles and board in different lines or times. Probably just a rumor though.
And this is probably why they changed the rule to one per adult. Whenever people try to scam the system, and even boast about it on public forums, eventually the powers that be wise up.

I live about 35 miles from LGA. Drove there one day in 45 minutes. Next day it took 2-1/2 hours. You just never know (which is why I avoid going there at all costs).

I was trying to get some clarification on the Diamond policy... is it 4 drinks up to $14 each per Diamond member, per day? I'm not a drinker, but could I get a mocktail or sparkling water with my drink tickets? I haven't cruised for almost 10 years... so all of the rules have changed! Thanks.
Definitely. Even bottled water or a fancy coffee. For me, I don’t drink juices, soda or coffee and have no problem with tap water so the 4 alcoholic drinks per day are just fine.

Mexican Hairless. Ugliest cat on the planet, but would be good for people with allergies.
No, that’s a dog breed. The cat is a Sphinx. Surprisingly, they are not hyper allergic.

So very happy for you. Hopefully everyone has learned a valuable lesson from your experience. I’ll never forget a situation some years ago - father decided to not book his 16 month old in advance to avoid shelling out the deposit money, figuring he could be added closer to sailing date. Yup, lifeboat capacity was full and he was unable to add the child. His wife was hysterical, especially since they had no one to leave the baby with and still take the cruise.

There’s a young widow who posts frequently on the family boards. She often sails with her twins and always carries her late husband’s death certificate even though she has passports for the kids. Sometimes they ask and sometimes they don’t but much better safe than sorry.

It’s been a while but we had been Captains Club members on Celebrity with maybe three sailings before becoming Diamond with Royal. Within a week we received an email from Celebrity welcoming us as Elite members so apparently they communicated pretty quickly.

She remains d+ with 20 points
Unfortunately, this is correct. The question came up several years ago when someone was going through a divorce they had high status while spouse had only cruised once but was still able to keep the status.

Sounds like an urban myth to me.

As I see it (although I totally agree that it was a shoddy thing to do), while an offer was made the OP did not accept that offer and, therefore, no contract oral or otherwise was made. As the saying goes, ya snooze ya lose.

I remember bringing a small bag of cookies from the marketplace in I think St. John. Never occurred to me that it wasn’t allowed but no one said a word going through security to get back on the ship.

Yes and yes.

They can carry on 12 bottles/cans per cabin of soft drinks.

So you obviously can't for Greece as per the above. I don't know about Europe but doing the transpacific last October from Honolulu to Sydney we were told from probably 3 days before we got to New Zealand that no fresh food was allowed to be taken off the ship, no fruit, sandwiches or anything else that wasn't in a sealed packet like a snack bar or chips/crisps or chocolate bar and things like that. We were told numerous times and also told numerous times that there would be sniffer dogs at each NZ port and we were risking a $300 NZD fine. You would not believe the number of idiotic people that thought they could get away with it and were trying to take fruit, sandwiches and cold meats and cheeses off the ship and all were caught by the beagles.
I remember someone posting several years ago on a flight to NZ. Daughter had taken a bite out of the apple served with lunch and decided to save the rest for later and slipped it into the mom’s tote bag but didn’t tell her. They got off the plane and were immediately zapped with a $300 fine.

They may take it and hold it until the end of the cruise or maybe just let it go. I remember years ago DH saw a bottle of wine at one port (I think it was Canada) that he hadn’t seen in years so bought it. I fully expected to hand it over when we boarded but we were just waived back onto the ship.

They can be very helpful and are not included in the tip pool so need to be tipped separately (as well as the bartenders in the lounge).

I go back a long way and definitely remember a couple of times that they canceled the port due to political unrest. It was quite a while ago but it did happen.

You can also buy a 6 pack of hard seltzer or beer in a cooler bag online from Royal Gifts.
Correct. I misread the post. Thought that the OP was planning to carry on the hard seltzer.

Where did you find this to purchase. I am traveling with my daughter and I don't drink anything but beer. With the carry on wine, a bottle that was part of the promo when I booked and a six pack of the hard seltzers with the carry bag I thought that would be plenty, but for the price I would love to get her some rum and coke. Haven't found it on my sailing things.
It would be under gifts.
but my question is - since when is hard seltzer permitted? They say only nonalcoholic beverages can be carried on.

While the kids under 18 get your status, they only have the points they actually earned.

Its good to have with you...But you likely will not be asked o show it. Cruised 5x with my grandson between ages 5-13 and never was asked for it at embarkation or customs. All were Eastern/Southern and/or Western Carribean 7 day or longer cruises. His last name was different from ours too!
I think the whole jist of the OP’s post is that it will now be enforced. So your past experiences are not applicable. I often fly with a show cat. Most airlines require a rabies certificate and recent health certificate. They are very rarely asked for. Do I always have them? You bet.

I thought that this was always a requirement (just not always enforced).

Another thought would be to ship it to your European destination (hotel).
Captain's Club Elite benefits question

I am also Elite due to having Diamond status on Royal Caribbean and will be sailing with a friend who does not have status. I know that I can share my included drinks with her on Royal, but how would this work on Celebrity? Neither of us is a big drinker.
