If my companion and I have two devices total (an iPad each) can we buy the less expensive “two devices for one person” internet package or do we have to purchase the more expensive “one device for each person”? This is for an upcoming cruise on the Symphony of the Seas.

Sorry...off the ship now but vaguely recall that the Enclave was open 8am-9pm. Don't quote me on this. I was given free, cruise-long access to the Enclave early on because they messed up my spa appointment time (it all worked out fine), but I never ended up going to the Enclave.

I'm on the Discovery now and have been going to the fitness center every day but never noticed any showers. So after reading your question today, I looked further and found the showers / locker room on the other side of a door in the bathroom marked only "Exit". Perhaps Princess should change the door signage.

Used my OBC to get chips at the casino. If I don't gamble away my remaining chips tonight, I will redeem them for cash.

The Discovery Princess, which we're on now, went to the Endicott Arm, which is home to Dawes Glacier. You stop pretty far from it due to the big ice chunks floating everywhere. A couple other smaller tour boats, not affiliated with Princess, got a lot closer. There is a Princess excursion to get close to the glacier where you actually get off the ship onto the tour boat while in Endicott Bay and go to Dawes Glacier, then to Juneau to reunite with the ship. Not sure what it cost.

Odd things we sometimes like to bring with us on a cruise

An Apple Air Tag, so you always know where your suitcase is (or is not). -
Hard to put a price on peace of mind, but it's gotta be worth at least a pretty penny.

Just to clarify, ships can sail at more than 100% capacity, since capacity is calculated at two persons per cabin and some cabins have a third person or fourth person. Oversold cruises are happening quite often now and just like the airlines, the cruise lines will offer incentives to remove booked passengers from the ship, per the Cruise Critic article: "What happens if your cruise is oversold?" So instead of saying "oversold" I should've said "over capacity."

We're doing Alaska so guessing the pool won't be too crowded. Hot tubs, possibly.
-
Most of us know that cruise ships are now sailing very full. Oversold in many cases. What tips do you have to deal with the big crowds onboard? Arrive late to embarkation, dine at off-hours, or maybe just don't worry about it...enjoy your vacation. Thoughts? WSJ: Cruises are now packed like sardines

Got our medallions about two weeks prior to sail date. Nice box, good presentation, with lanyards and fancy aluminum blue clips. Charge was only $5 for the one medallion that we had customized. No charge for shipping. They were shipped from Singapore via FedEx.

Not at all. How is it any different than arriving back to the ship in any another port? We prefer to spend our time experiencing the port cities…already on the ship enough. MPT (Maximum Port Time) should be the goal of every traveler. Just make your way back to the ship, or the vicinity of the ship, as the sail time approaches.

We've self-carried our luggage off a ship a few times, mainly because of early flights. But what are the pros and cons of self-carrying your luggage onto the ship? We're sailing out of Seattle in June and won't board until around 2:00. Would prefer to unpack right away instead of waiting X hours for our luggage to be delivered. Thoughts?

On an Alaska cruise out of Seattle in June. Dining reservations/changes via the app are currently unavailable.

This is something new! Shareholder OBC customer service

About the "real money" part or the "police it" part? -
This is something new! Shareholder OBC customer service
Shawn5 replied to trvlwrld's topic in Princess Cruises
My guess is that CCL/PCL doesn't care if you sell your shares after receiving the OBC but before (or during) your cruise. The OBC is not real money to them and they're not going to spend the time, effort, or labor $$ to police this pro-customer/pro-investor perk or any violations of it. -

How would they know you sold the shares unless you told them? -
Do you think any of these executives read and/or respond to any emails received from disgruntled customers?

Could you be more specific, as we've never sailed with Oceania. -
Is there a dedicated Captains Club phone number?
Shawn5 replied to dreams_of_travel's topic in Princess Cruises
The number doesn't exist, therefore this Ruby perk doesn't exist. Princess was probably scraping for a perk to include for Ruby status, thinking nobody would ever inquire about the non-existent number. When I chatted with Princess a while back they had no idea what this "exclusive" number was and kept referring me to 1-800-PRINCESS. -
Stateroom changed by Princess Help needed please

Depending on where you're sailing, the bow may not have that much more motion difference than at midship. Certainly not worth cancelling your cruise over. -

I understand the Plus / Premier packages include the daily $14-$16 "crew appreciation," but do they also include the tips that are typically added to beverages / cocktails / wine?
