  1. I would definitely say Antigua - no question amazing - at Buck Island. I recommend Big Beard's - and Tortola at the Baths also tremendous and right off the beach in Virgin Gorda.

I also like snorkeling at Dominica at Champagne Reef as part of a larger excursion. For that port, I HIGHLY recommend Bumpiing Tours. I've gone with them twice. Cannot say enough good things about Levi and his tours.

You didn't ask, but at St. Kitts, I also highly recommend Royston's tour. I've been to St. Kitts more than once and used the guides recommended on this site. I found Royston to be by far the best.

We are doing Royston tours in April. Looks like a really good time. Glad you liked it, most reviews of him are excellent.

  2. Hi there Sky616, I think you are on the same cruise we are on - April 9th Adventure - which tour did you choose to go on. If it's not full already we may try to join you.

Yes we are on this cruise with you. We are doing the Pile et Face tour with Karambole. According to a poster from our roll call this tour is full. She booked 4 people as we have 4 people and then she went back to reserve 2 more but it was full. I believe her bus/van only holds 8 people. Hopefully she can get another van and guide together soon to accommodate everyone. Sounds like she is getting more popular with the good feedback from people who have toured with her.

  3. Hello

We just booked our 1st Royal Caribbean cruise, going on Oasis of the Seas for this June. I wanted to know some of your tips and things to do and to avoid on the oasis. Also what do you think of this ship.

    Thank you! :)

Only been on this class of ship once but the aqua show is a must I believe. We had a boardwalk balcony at the end and watched it from our cabin. If you like Mexican food Sabor is very good. Central Park is a great area just to have a drink and people watch. There is a secret area on deck 14 to view the ocean and a good spot for sail away which not many people know about. Go on port side (left) hallway all the way to the front of the ship and there will be a door that leads you outside. There are hundreds of other tips others will point out to you but just a few that I know of.

  4. My wife and I have done this on our own two times without a problem. The first time was on our first cruise and were inexperienced cruisers. If you or your spouse are concerned about getting back in time then most definitely take the ship tour. But as mentioned before if you have a good plan of attack you can be back in plenty of time and do some shopping with time to spare. Either way have fun, Trunk Bay is beautiful and not to be missed.

  5. My daughter and I have been hitting pause again and again, and running the scene back and forth of the Royal Caribbean ship leaving the port. We are wondering if it is leaving St. Maarten or St. Thomas. I think it's St. Maarten, based on the direction of the pier vs the mountains. What do you think? I told my daughter that if I posted this on CC, I'd have an answer in no time.

Bonus question: Which ship is it?

Well I can definitely see it's the Allure. I really think the island is St Thomas. It looks like the dock to me but who knows.
