  1. I have this  offer, also. I checked the fine print, and it allows you to book 2 cruises.

A Hot Streak  offer is one of the various offers from the casino/Players Club(also have  premier, ultra, elite all based on play/$)

rwilk1129: you can book this offer yourself online, after logging into Carnival's website.

My husband received this offer.  We booked the Legend for the 8 day Panama Canal in February 2021.  The drinks are only for him, however, I also received an offer for drinks while in the casino and they were able to offer me that,  since I also had an offer.  So we got free drinks for him everywhere and free drinks for me while playing in the casino.  Our biggest concern was not having a balcony, so we instead booked the inside cabin that has the french door, so that we could at least open it and get fresh air just in case.

So here is what we got:

CRUISE CHARGES Cruise Rate $400.00 (paid upfront as deposit)

Taxes, Fees, Port Expenses and Fuel Supplement $689.28

    Total Cruise Charges $1,089.28

    Onboard Credit: $400.00

    Casino Fun Play Credits: $500.00

Free drinks everywhere for hubby, free drinks for me in the casino

It was enough to entice us and book it!

Congrats on your offer! I do have a question about the cruise charges, when you mention about the fuel supplement. Has this been reinstated? Thank s.

I recently booked my first casino offer and received Drinks on Us. I am not a big drinker, I will maybe have a frozen drink once or twice during vacation. Does anyone know other than soda,  what other non-alcoholic drinks are included?

    Thanks!

I think you could order a Pina Colada, or Margarita, or whatever you like, and just have the bartender make them with no alcohol. Virgin drinks! Happy cruising!

Thank you so much for all the feedback!  It is definitely helping me process this very difficult decision.  I haven't gotten very far today with getting answers.  I did get in touch with customs here in my home state at our international airport and he said I am making this harder than it needs to be..."if my son has an American Passport when he arrives in the states he will be let in no problem and it shouldn't be a problem when I'm in Mexico."

I don't like the wording "shouldn't be a problem".  I don't want any problems while in Mexico.  I am very much a rule follower and getting my son detained by immigration isn't desirable to say the least.  I didn't hear from the supervisor I originally spoke to today and still would like to followup with him.  I spoke to my current contact at NCL that booked the cruise and he is trying to get me someone at Corporate to help.  I do appreciate the Executive Office number and will follow-up with them tomorrow.  I'm still interested in anything else anyone has to offer.  Again, thank you for your comments!!

I think if you contacted the Mexican Consulates office, they would be able to provide you with the info you needed. Your son may also consider getting a tourist visa, from the consulate 's office. ( or perhaps a travel agency?). Best wishes, and happy cruising!

  5. Today I received an email from Carnival, that on Nov. 7th, they will send out the invitations for Ultra  cruises in 2020. Hopefully, I'll be able to go on my 1st one. Are these usually 7 day cruises? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it was a lot of points but it was a 13 night cruise with nine sea days. Many opportunities to play.

Anyway, just wanted to share my recent experience as there have been inconsistencies reported here about Premier cruises.

Yes, thanks for sharing, and providing us with updated/accurate information. Did I  understand you correctly, that in order to play in the slot tournament, you have to have an additional 2000 points (which would not be a problem for me!), even for being on  a Premier cruise? 9 sea day s. I can get into  enough trouble with 3-4 sea days! Happy crusing!

I am planning to bring Bonine.  If you take this, does it make you tired?  Also do you start it the day of the cruise or before?  Anyone have any issues drinking alcohol with the medication?

On  my 1st cruise, I  found out, that  I am prone to sea sickness. (And this was  on the Inside Passsage, going south from Whittier-not even the "open seas"). I did a lot of research, and found out what worked for me. I took a bonine, each morning and evening, starting the day before the cruise. I also took ginger  capsules, the same way.  I never got sick again.Bonine did not make me sleepy, and I  could still drink adult beverages.Smooth sailings!

Thanks for being courteous if the casino is crowded.  There is nothing more frustrating to a slot player than to come up to their favorite slot machine and find someone just hanging out and visiting with their spouse or friend and never intending to actually play the machine they are sitting at.  The ship's casino is very small compared to Vegas and there are times where nearly every machine is being played.  At those times, I have never had a problem getting a drink with the DOU card if the waiter sees you waiting for a machine. They have a good feel for what's going on in the casino.

If the slot is not being played, you could just ask, in a courteous manner, that if it is available, you'd like to play. Has always worked for me! Happy cruising.

Getting ready to go on a Carnival cruise, Usually I take large amounts of cash to play at the casino. I read somewhere that you can charge slot play to your room,  then pay the bill at the end of the trip with your credit card with no fee attached? Is this information correct? TIA

Yes, it is. I know too well! Be careful. You should see some of the casino offers I receive, from a "mistake-in judgement", I made a few years ago.

I believe the last time they implemented it was around 08-09 if I am not mistaken. Been a while for sure.

My 2nd cruise was in 11-07, to the Southern Caribbean, out of San Juan. My entire cruise was paid for, but since the oil  was over $70.00 a barrel, the dreaded fuel surcharge was added. This is to the best  of my knowledge. I don't know how long it was imposed for.

  11. Earlier this year, I had a friend who was flying from Philadelphia to Peru for a vacation. When he arrived at the Lima airport in Peru, he was sent directly back to the U.S. as his passport, was going to expire in less than 6 months. What a pain. Even though it may be a closed loop cruise, I would get a new passport. There's still time, though it may cost a little more, if it needs to be expediated.

  12. That's great for you! The Fun play is for playing in the casino. You'd be responsible for paying the port fees and taxes, but I don't know what they'd be. I think Carnival has a website for Australia. Not sure you have to pay gratuities, since it's Australia. Perhaps someone else here will know. Happy cruising!

Anyone get the new Elite offers for Australia, the South Pacific, Hawaii and New Zealand?  They range from 9 to 19 days and the offer says you can book up to three cruises.  They include a balcony cabin, a gift, cash back,  drinks anywhere on board and for cabin, an excursion and airport pickup.  Great offer if you like to fly.  Unfortunately, I do not.  Anyone get any other Elite offers?

Yes, I received the same one today. I don't mind flying, but unfortunately wouldn't be able to go. When I was working, I had the money, but not the time. I retired 2 years ago. Now have the time, but not the money. Go figure!!!!

Thank you for the info!  Have you been to any of those islands or in that area? The weather is the one thing holding me back from campaigning for this trip with my husband.

No, I've never been to those islands. I did look it up, and July would be on the cooler, dryer side, and it would not be in cyclone season, which would be a concern to me. (I did spend 3 months (Dec., Jan., and Feb.) in New Zealand years ago -  had some rain, but no "wicked storms"!!!) Would using frequent flyer miles be an option in flying to the land down other?

  15. In Jan.of 2015, I went on a cruise, and spent alot of time and money in the casino. Then in Sept. of that same year, I went on another cruise. I did spend a lot of time in the casino, but did not spend much money, this time. I haven't cruised since, but would like to. This past year, I have received numerous offers, both by e-mail, as well as by snail mail. Ultras, elites, premiers, red hot offers, etc. Cash play would be $200.00 to $500.00, with many types of cabins:  balconies, ocean view, and inside cabins. One offer was from S.F. to Singapore, and another was one out of Australia. (I think the weather in those islands would be pleasant, even though it would be winter.). From reading some of these posts, I think they send out offers to people who have not cruised recently, unless perhaps one is a high roller. So, in answer to your question, yes, keep checking for offers! Happy cruising!
