  1. I'd like to introduce my friend to cruising and we might be booking one of the "Tuesday" deals next week. Being I've sailed RCCL before, we can actually do this on Monday :). Being the cruise fare would have to be paid in full, could we each pay half with our own credit cards online, or have to call the 800# to do that? We both are credit card rewards driven & earning points is a crazy hobby and we'd prefer to do it this way. I know once we sail we can each have our own expenses charged to our own credit cards.

  2. Assuming it's the same as the rest of the fleet soft serve is free, but the milkshakes cost extra (although they are covered by the UKP sticker.)

Swirls is a dining venue so wondering if that makes a difference:

Dining and Snacks: Three main dining rooms, Chef's Table Lumiere, Wine Cellar dining, Sabatini's Italian Restaurant, Crown Grill – Steak and Seafood, Gelato – gelateria serving ice cream & Italian crepes, International Café – coffee, snacks and light meals, Tea Tower, Vines Wine Bar, Ocean Terrace Seafood Bar, Alfredo's Pizzeria, Horizon Court Buffet, Pastry Shop, Prego – Poolside pizza, Trident Grill – Hamburger and hot dog grill, Swirls – Ice cream bar, Ultimate Balcony Dining, 24-hour room service

  3. Pretend we are going this week. On the RCCL website, the December 20 sailing says call xxx for availability. I'm going to see if that message still shows up on Thursday the 19th, and if I think of it maybe I'll call & see what they say.

My DH has a time constraint and cannot do both cruise & drive home the car. We actually bought a car from FL a few years ago and had it shipped home for $1200. It's cheaper to drive it home for less than $300 in gas and could find inexpensive places to stay at 2-3 nights along the way.

I have considered booking the cruise for both of us & I could go alone and meet him back home, but I'm not sure he'd go along with that.

  4. I will try to keep this short. Can one just show up at the port the day of embarkation or reserve the night before? It’s a 3 nighter on Majesty. I don’t think it’d be fully booked. Really.

We might have a few days to spend in FL in January. My DH wants to purchase a car at a dealership. We obviously don’t want to purchase it without looking at it. We plan on using frequently flier miles to fly to FL and to get the best bang for our miles we need to fly in on a Wednesday. We need to book a return flight in case it doesn't work out and our return flight wouldn’t be until Tuesday. We would check the car out on Thursday. If the car is in the condition we are hoping, then we’ll drive it home to North Dakota. However, if the car is not in the condition we want, we’re stuck in FL so I was looking at a 3 night Majesty of the Seas that departs Miami on Friday and returns Monday.

  5. The Zuiderdam has such great deals to the PC this year and I was hoping to do it (again) a year from now. Was at HAL's website just now and no mention of 10/11 night PC cruises, any ship. I've noticed the downward trend in prices the past couple of years, so wonder if they're cutting these itineraries off.

NEVER MIND!!!! I found it looking under Southern Caribbean. Just had a blonde moment.
