Even though I try to never look a gift horse in the mouth ... but, I completely agree with you on this point.  It really should be per passenger, even if they lower the amount given.  It creates resentment and in this day and age, I find it hard to believe they've set up their policy as such.  I have friends with different last names even though they are married ... they didn't even question giving them their own individual onboard credit.

Again, I am just thankful for the little bit I get, though.

I'm right there with you. I too am always very grateful for the small things in the little things that we do receive.

From what I've read, if you have a different last name, it will be provided to both passengers.  Married with the same last name (and living at the same address), they only give it once.

I called this discrimination on married couples who choose to have the same last name or discrimination on family members who travel together. For example once in a blue moon my dad and I (same last name) share a Cabin and other times we get our own. I just think everyone should be rewarded for their own individual loyalty. Very interesting though about the different last names and same addresses.

alternately. if you like taxis, you can call them and schedule a specific time as well.

True, that I find a uber just to be so much more convenient especially with just paying through the app and everything. thank you so very much for your suggestion as it is greatly greatly appreciated

  4. I have a 6 a.m. flight out of Qubec City for when I do my New England / Canada Cruise. As we are docked overnight in Quebec I will need to leave the ship at 4 a.m.  I have a feeling Uber or a Taxi may not be the easiest to get a hold of that early in the morning. Has anyone booked a car service out of Quebec City to take him to the airport. Looking for suggestions.

The Capt's circle guy on the Regal yesterday said only one should get it. He read it directly from his FAQ

I personally think it should be done by individuals not based off who sharing the cabin. Because in all honesty each person has earned their own loyalty rights.

First drink (ordered through Ocean Now) was free on the Regal as well.

Sadly, I didn't get mine. I submitted an order whilst sitting in Club 6 but after 40 mins, the status of my order was still just "submitted". Had to move on so I cancelled the order. Once you do that, you don't get the freebie back.

Oh well. I make the mistakes so that you don't have to! 🙂

it's very hit-and-miss with how fast the services. Because I've canceled some in the past where they take too long.

Just returned from cruise #26 & 27. DH and I both got $25 "loyalty commends" OBC.

That's awesome! I've always heard if you share a cabin with a fellow loyalists of the brand and they have the same home address as the other person that only one of you get the loyalty and they split it amongst both of you.

  9. To me, it sounds like it would start on the 21st Cruise. just sounds a bit odd that they would start loyalty credit on a random Cruise number. I can understand them saying you've completed 20 cruises, so from here on out here's a credit of OBC

    Great info - Thanks!!

You're welcome. Oh...  I also found the Alfredo's on the sky to be the best one out of all the fleet with food presentation and preparation. I started having a obsession with the d'margeaux antipasto salad which is essentially their version of a caprese salad and rolled up zucchini which it was phenomenal. Went there many times for lunch. You'll also notice in the main dining room the menus are slightly different what different options. I learnt anytime that there's beef tenderloin being offered take it it's always hands-down the best entree.

Great!  How was the Sky for you?  How would you compare it to the Royal or Regal?

I practically lived on the Regal for the past five years. That was my baby loved everything about her. This guy is stunning and gorgeous. I love the new interior decor throughout the entire ship on the sky it now has a more contemporary and elegant vibe to it, giving it a very classy looks and I love. if you love the Regal in Royal you're going to fall deeply in love with this guy. The only thing I do miss is the old retreat pool setup with a little alcove right before you enter the retreat with all the seating area there. The shows done in the theater by the princess singers and dancers are absolutely amazing like none other. Love to rock opera, five skies was such a unique and fantastic show as well. the food is phenomenal my only downfall with the food was on the lido deck I found the Regal to be better with presenting a different variety of food daily for like lunch with different cuisine things which this guy doesn't seem to do. But the crew are fantastic the decor and layout of the ship is beautiful love the room of the new jazz lounge take five. The Vista lounge looks extra spiffy and elegant. And the new princess live I love that they brought back that explorer lounge feel it is so stunning. I think once again you will definitely fall in love with the ship. I'm sailing on her in February and one more time in March. have a couple of feelings on some of the older princess ships this summer and then on to the enchanted as my new home.

Perfecto! I have been on this ship 3 times, one would think I would have taken this picture by now! Then again I usually have the same exact cabin location booked, except for this one upcoming time 😁

Thanks. I had a photo that i apparently took whole on the regal. Except Deck 7 on the Sky the layout is different from the Regal in Royal. That's now a full shopping area. Thanks though.

Does princess Caribbean have brunch ? Do you like the medallions? How are the mattresses? I have a bad back and need something firm. Thanks for all your upcoming answers.

I personally Love The Medallion in the express walk on and I love it for keyless entry to the cabin. When I was on the Caribbean Princess last Summer the mattress is my room we're definitely not new and they end up having to put a topper on to solve the problem. I'm hoping the mattress in this next room is not as horrible and extremely soft when you sink into it like it was last year.

I live in NY and have been to both Montreal and Quebec City several times as well of course to Boston and  other of these stops. This seems like a lovely itinerary. If you have never been to either city I would try to do both as post-cruise and agree that there are more flight options from Montreal than Quebec City. Have  never taken the train between the two but easy enough to do.

Even if you cannot stay at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, do stop in and have a drink.  Sometimes it is hard to book hotels in QC so you should not wait till just before traveling to book hotel. Oh there is an outstanding old-world service restaurant Le Continental directly across from the Chateau Frontenac. Not casual but a fine dinner with outstanding impeccable service.

Lovely. Thank you. I miraculously found a dirt cheap flight at 6 a.m. from Quebec City back to fort Lauderdale. So I grabbed it.
