Another vote for May, it's a lovely month. There are 2 Bank Holidays, usually the first and last Mondays when things might be busy.
-
We can definitely see them, there are some great photos of you all around. I hope you are getting a great view.
-
That sounds amazing, enjoy.
What a shame QV's webcam isn't working.
-
As long as you have a stop in a non EU port, there won't be VAT added but you will have the Spanish when in Spanish waters/ports.

I liked this photo - shame about the weather

I'm not very well qualified to answer as I've only done one P&O cruise - a fly cruise on Ventura last year.
There were a few things we liked - we had a deluxe balcony cabin for not much more than the standard balcony price, it was much larger, closer in size to PG on Cunard. Entertainment options were more varied, we enjoyed the musical offerings in The Tamarind Club.
We might try one of the smaller P&O ships in the future if an itinerary was particularly interesting.
Apart from that I would choose Cunard every time - better food, more formal (if that is your thing), better service, better speakers.
I hope you enjoy QV.

You can do either, if you are on an organised tour the company will arrange your visa. If you want to go ashore independently you will need to arrange your own visa.

Welcome home, thank you for letting us travel with you.

It sounds as if you had a great time, thanks for posting.

Have a great time, those of you sailing tomorrow or going to watch.

Is Seville worth visiting, or would it be better to remain in Cadiz?
Seville is a lovely city & definitely worth a visit. I've not been to Cadiz so I can't help with which is better.
-
Is the Cadiz one just into the town or do they take you somewhere else ? Cadiz is often used as the port for Seville or Jerez.
-
And thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, I've really enjoyed following you round the world.

Congratulations, that was quick !

I've traveled in the Queen Elizabeth suite, and I recommend it highly. If you haven't already figured it out, it appears whoever works Cunard's website got their photos confused. If you look at the 360-degree view of the Q3 Royal Suites, you will actually be looking at photos of the Q2 suites. Notice one of the three views has the balcony pictured, and neither of the Royal Suites have a balcony. It appears to me that the actual Royal Suites aren't shown on Cunard's website at this time.
If you look at View 3, you'll see the frosted glass door to the private elevator lobby fore the balcony. That's the giveaway.
Apologies for the extremely delayed reply.
Welcome to Cruise Critic, Scamper is still posting but mainly on the HAL boards so I'm not sure whether he ever did try the Q2 suites.

My spine is tingling just reading about that day in Cobh. Have a wonderful time.

Hi all
Two things to those on board. I have just been trawling the Internet and found the on board speakers for QV are Eric Flounders and Peter Snow has anybody else heard this. Secondly when we dock at the Liverpool cruise terminal will we be facing forward or do you think the ship will turn ready to sail out. I know it's a bit of a daft question just want to work out if I will have a view of Liverpool or Birkenhead
Thanks
Liz:)
The full list of Insight speakers is here. As well as the 2 you mentioned you have Robert Key - Magna Carta Expert and former Politician.
Peter Snow was lecturing on our QM2 trip last year - he gave a couple of talks (one on Waterloo and one on the Burning of the White House) and a Q&A session.

"Go with Princess and enjoy" ? am I the only one confused .com
Five Cunard voyages to One Princess ( only one taken in 2011 ) then decides to continue with Cunard :D
Definitely not the only one confused, but hopefully Koonard will be back to explain.
No has mentioned about the ship stopping mid atlantic the other morning due to a pod problem , spooky as in fog ! Obviously no danger as controlled stop
Rob kept us updated on his thread here -
That would be a fine sight. ...
