I don't get an opportunity to watch this ..But with CJW's reports I feel like I do .. great job.

Seabunny .. heck advertising is just a part of life . remember reeces pieces in ET ??? .. Not a problem unless it is tooo prominently a part of the show instead of the commercials.. I haven't seen this so I don't know if that is the case .. but I know people make a huge fuss about the coke glasses on the judges desk at American Idol .. and I never noticed them until I heard about the fuss.. so I guess it works on different people different ways.

I do think Korto ( is that right) has an asian influence but personally I can see my self wearing most of those designs. Jerell is growing on me though.

Can I pick Kenley's outfit in Red and Hot Pink ???????

I would comment but the spectacle of this opening ceremony took my breath away ... i think I should be able to breathe again by Wedneday.....

Ok .. there were some groups that should have sued the designer .. the red on white floral print was um .. ok .. it was .. moving on .. who decided to put Cheosongs(sp) on the Australians ( I think it was) .. USA looked fabulous if more than a bit understated .. and China wins with the fabulous colors and grand entrance.

But I really feel sorry for London .. trying to even coming close to that display!!!

I must admit that I am usually the first person to like quirky .. but that Jerell is over the top even for ME!! Now I would actually buy Korto designs !! (well not week one's yellow thingy)

I know that this has changed my booking habits .. if I even think I may go on a cruise I put a deposit on it so that I can get traditional dining.. We have had the Anytime on Princess and the Freestyle on NCL and both were a total mess as far as we were concerned .. although I understand why some people would like it .. we just don't. I never used to book a cruise until I was sure .. but now .. if you don't you will get stuck in the open seating.. and it is quite difficult to change we have found.

But more importantly .. did we ever get a picture of Rep in the Kilt ??????

We are going on our 5th Princess cruise in May .. and I have Never seen much less received a passport or stamp. What am I doing wrong ??

I too want to thank you for summarzing this in a sane and almost un-biased way.. that other thread had a LOT of personal stuff going on that had nothing to do with the topic.

I think I would call the cruise lines and ask that question .. seems to me like any of them could .. would will be the operative question.

11 years ago my husband died after a short bout with cancer and I realized I had never been anywhere and neither had he .. except the usual trip to Hawaii and some touring in the US. When I remarried a couple years later, we cruised on our Honeymoon and have never even considered any other kind of vacation. My favorite story is getting home from a Med cruise and having my husband say, Ok if you can find me a trip to the Pyramids on a cruise ship.. I will go again .. took me almost 20 minutes to find and book it!! Since then we have been to the Baltics and Asia etc. It is a fabulous way to see the world.

We always do a web site as we cruise so that the rest of the family can virtually cruise with us .. and I have made believers out of my adult children who love cruisng too.

Heck yes I dress to impress .. My Husband never ever fails to tell me how lovely I look in my gown ..

and I pretend to be something I am not too .. the most beautiful woman on the ship .. to him.

BTW he wears a Tux for formal night .. and that Never Ever fails to impress me.

We are sailing on the Oo 2/2308. We were given the AYW dining even though we'd asked for a set time because it is our first sail and we wanted something we could figure out easier. There is a (probably large) group sailing on the ship at the same time as us that is probably the reason that even though we have a "snooty suite (an SB)" we were not given what we asked for when booking. We'll have a great time no matter what but reading this thread has been interesting. lol Especially to know we shouldn't talk about our dog at breakfast but that's pretty much okay since I don't really talk to anyone til after my second coffee. The count down is under 20 days and I'm so ready to thaw out I'm not sure I care if I'm fed!

I am on the same cruise and my TA pushed for and got me traditional just about 3 weeks ago. I would think your's wouldn't even have as much trouble since you are in a Suite. Perhaps you should call the TA and lean a little.

Well .. I just heard that we are number 23 on the waitlist .. so perhaps all is not lost !!!

I would do the open seating if there were a CC group too .. we had 72 with us on the Princess cruise and my mistake was going traditional while most of them went Anytime .. however

There seems no interest whatsoever in the roll call I started on this one .. so we will have to make friends on board and sometimes the easiest way is at dinner !!!

We are coming back to HAL after several princess cruises and I must say I am particularly disappointed that we can only get the "Open Seating" on the cruise we booked. We detest the Anytime on Princess .. for a myriad of reasons .. so a practical question ..

Is there someone on HAL that can be bribed to get us out of this and into fixed traditional dining ???

I had a miserable time with this once .. spent hours with the feet elevated etc.. Talked to doctor before the next cruise and she told me to drink a lot of water ... bottled not desalinated water .. NO carbonated beverages ( she did say a scotch and soda would be ok a few times LOL ) and then she prescribed I diuretic to take in addition to the drinking lots of water. It has never happened since.

In the handbag area .. designers don't matter at all .. I just like what I like when I see it .. Doesn't matter if it is Penney's or Nordstroms ..

I use a variety .. but going on a cruise I usually pick a functional everyday one to go with the daytime clothes and then take a lot of small evening bags to look put together for dinner.
