  1. Thanks for the info everyone. I booked one on deck 6, I prefer the aft with a little bit of the side to catch a breeze.

excellent choice! I was in 6483 on Conquest two yrs ago! No noise & the biggest balcony on the ship is deck 6! The room is great and spaciously arranged. Always get the lowest aft wrap on all Carnival ships....even the Vista - as they are the biggest!! I have an aft wrap on 6 on the Vista for next yr! And remember about balconies...bigger is better ......"size matters!"

  2. I would definitely go with 6470 over 6459. 6470 is going to have a lounge chair and a beautiful view of the pool and wake. We are in 6461 which is the aft wrap which has a little of the side but mostly back. Have been in that same location many times on other Carnival ships. Have known people in the one like 6459. It just has a really long balcony about twice as long as normal but the room is an odd shape, with some unused space as u enter. If u r on the side, it will not have that Havana feel as u will not be able to see the Havana area. We are not young....ur Mom can handle it....she can sleep at home. It is not like they will party outside all night. We plan to sleep 1am to 7am and out at the pool deck we will snooze after having a yummy Havana Especial drink!

And just ignore anyone telling u that u posted wrong. Most everyone is nice on here. I think u were smart to do so as most of the people on "Everything Vista" are already booked and it is a much narrower audience.

  3. Thank u so much for bringing us info, especially of the Havana area. We are in 6461. The Havana cabin on deck 6 starboard (to the right) that is the big aft wrap. Am dying to see the inside of the room. Maybe u can make friends with them since u r also Havana cruiser! It appears that aft wrap setup between 6 and 7 is different even though both are Havana. The shape of the room is different. I realize 6 is right on the pool...that is why I booked it. Any pictures from the pool looking up at the aft would also be great!! Have a great cruise!

  4. We are right below you in 6461 aft wrap going Feb 25, 2017! I have not found any photos of the inside of these aft wrap cabins (and they are different on each floor because of the shape) and I have scourged every website around that has popped up since they started the inaugural cruise on Sunday. There are lots of outside photos on zydecocruiser's website so u can see how spacious the balcony is. Balcony also has Havana lounge chairs and cushions which are very nice!

  5. Curious where you found out about the walkway by the cabanas? I've been watching a few boards plus John and hadn't heard yet. A review from a current passenger? Should be interesting to see how many people actually parade past the cabanas as it's pretty narrow....sort of awkward for them and cabana guests!

On multiple sites that have those initials f.b. current havanna passengers have explained the setup. The walkway is wider than it looked in some pics as I have seen video now and I would not worry. Havana cabins on deck 5 are amazing!

another great pic from zydecocruiser that lets u know how close we will b to the action if we r in aft cabins! I do not think noise will be a problem as the bar / music is under us & to the back. besides,,,,it will b wonderful to go to sleep to the sounds of the Cuban drums and sultry sounds of the music! So excited!

And a great big shout out to zydecocruiser's website as he posts dozens of the best pics daily. He has been a wealth of info for yrs and has the best food porn pics there are! We plan what we r going to order after looking at his website. And he posts on cruise critic all the time...he is the best!

  7. The lanai refers to the "porch" in front of the cabanas on deck 5. I am on deck 6 in an aft wrap that is Havana. It is a balcony. But like the Havana cabanas on deck 5, I have a reserved lounge chair....on my balcony which is great. The area at the pool is called the pool deck according to my Carnival friends. So nursemommy7578 we will have our own loungers on our aft wrap balcony!

  8. See below info article from USA today last year:

Carnival Cruise Line's largest ship ever, the 133,500-ton Carnival Vista, reached a construction milestone in Italy today with the help of a six-year-old girl.

Kye Heald, daughter of Carnival's Senior Cruise Director John Heald, served as what Carnival is calling the ship's "godchild" – presiding over a traditional maritime coin ceremony marking the completion of the ship's exterior. The event was held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone.

    USA TODAY

Construction begins on largest Carnival cruise ship ever

Kye is believed to be the youngest person honored at such a ceremony, during which a commemorative coin or coins are welded to a ship's mast. The maritime tradition dates to ancient Roman times when coins were attached to a ship to provide "divine protection."

  9. Wow....an updated mock up pick from Carnival...just went on Carnival website and they have new mock up photos of the back of the ship. So for any of you in a Havana balcony on 6 or 7 you are in for a treat! The dividers are not the ugly metal ones. They are the pretty rattan like woven ones in the Havana cabins on 5. Also the balcony furniture is Havana and we have lounge chairs back there as well! I am in an aft wrap on 6 and the balcony is enormous with really pretty furniture!

  10. I have two cove cabins next to each other on the Vista. Do you think they will open up to be one big balcony? We've never had a cove balcony before.
