  1. I have two cove cabins next to each other on the Vista. Do you think they will open up to be one big balcony? We've never had a cove balcony before.

I got this from the Carnival site:

  2. u shd go for it. we have had multiple afts and the vibration was never bad. Just slight when porting....but realize that deck 9 aft will have an extended roof from deck 10 so will not get a lot of sun. But if shade and a beautiful view are good for u, I think u will love it!!!

PS The biggest vibration is lower down and I have always had the bottom aft wrap (on 5 or 6) and even that is fine vibration wise. There is nothing like an aft!

  3. When I look at the balconies of the aft-view cabins I only see three separations, so it seems that two cabins share one balcony or do I just overlook something?

I hope you understand what I mean.

They have not closed the dividers / separators yet! Once they get ready for us to come on and they have mopped the balconies, they will close the dividers. The dividers that you see are structural ones that do not move. Don't worry - you will have a private balcony!

OK everyone - look at the great big smiles the Italian workers have on their face as they ride this! It is gonna be a blast.....and if some cabins are not completely finished when we sail, I am sure the ladies will not mind if some of these guys are along for the cruise! Gee our construction workers in Georgia do not look like these Italian models, AKA shipbuilder / construction workers....:D

  5. For those of you in a Havana Cabana on deck 5....I noticed that the glass wall does seem kind of high. I believe the wall is that height for all of Deck 5 from the restaurants on down. So when u look out you will see it but it is glass and I am sure will be kept spotless. It will also keep wind off of you. But also note that unlike lots of other regular balcony cabins, you do not have a solid divider between you and the next cabin so that is likely to promote a great breeze all the way down from the ocean! I know some of you think that the narrow walkway between your cabin and the glass wall may be open at night for others on the ship. I do not think so. I believe this will be private for you lucky Havana people! I expect there will be a gate at each end of the Havana cabanas on deck 5 that will be key card accessed. I am on deck 6 just above you in that lovely aft wrap cabin (at least I hope it is!). It provides access to all Havana stuff but is above the pool. It seems to have a regular height glass balcony wall. Not sure about the height of the glass on deck 5....you will all have to weigh in to Carnival on if you like it or not after you sail as it would not seem too hard to make it half height as the other balcony rails....

And those Havana lanais look huge....like having a front yard on a ship...

the Havana pool area looks cool....hot tubs are huge....I am hoping they can be set to jet & bubble without the heat as well as that would be fun! John Heald if you are reading this....pass it on to the Beards!!

  6. 2356 is below the restaurant. Not sure if u may hear vacuuming and movement of tables late at night or early in the morning. However, if u leave ur balcony door open, the sound of the water shd resolve any noise! This is a cove balcony under a lifeboat. make sure u r not claustrophobic as I believe it is very cozy. U also will not get much sun. Google u-tube for videos of a cove so u can get the feel of it as it is a very different type of balcony. U love it or u hate it!

  7. I promise to take tons of photos with my samsung phone....but u all will have to teach me how to upload them and post them...

Notice that the hot tubs are almost as big as the swimming pools....we might have to turn one of the hot tubs into another pool...wonder if you can turn the jets on but leave the water cool....

  8. Okay all you aft wrap lovers! Look at Lou The Glue's post # 348 on this thread, specifically the first and second picture. It appears to be taken from aft wrap 6461 (our cabin Feb 25, 2017) . This is the first view we have had from an aft balcony! I see out little Havana pool and the lovely view out the back. Can't wait for more photos!!!

  9. Yes - I am just beside myself with excitement about 6461! This is an extra special cruise. My boyfriend's Mom was named Vista and that is why we are going on this cruise! The anticipation is killing me! Can't wait for someone to post pics of the aft area & aft wraps. I also can't wait to see the Havana suites with those hammocks!

  10. Make that 6466!! Lol

WE are in 6461, the matching aft wrap before you on Feb 25, 2017. I will try to take pictures and post. Carnival says that 6461 & 6466 are the biggest balconies on the ship as they are the lowest floor aft wrap! We have been in aft wrap before on the lowest floor and it is really wonderful. I really hope they have two lounge chairs on the wrap balconies as they are big enough.

  11. Thanks, everyone, for your input regarding the availability of Agave Syrup on celebrity cruises.

If anyone has further information regarding its availability, feel free to post, however I did not create this thread to discuss the Pros or Cons of using the syrup.

Again, thank you all for your input.

    Steve

I am sure u were not asking for health info on it, but how kind of that person to share info that you and many of us might not know! So to Thursdays Child, I appreciate your response as we all can learn helpful health info on foods that may be new to the general public!
