Yep, definitely more coffee needed. Booking number I put in WAS for a prior cruise, so I got the correct number and got into My Cruise Manager.
Sorry for panicking I guess I really DO need a vacation, I'm wound a little tight I guess.

I was going in today to finalize my cruise docs and print my luggage tags, but it won't let me log in, just keeps returning to the login screen with no error message.
I also tried going to the quick booking access link, put in my booking code and other info for our upcoming 2/14/2014 cruise, and it comes back that the information provided is for a past cruise???
Did I sleep through it?? Is the clock/calendar wrong on their servers? I feel like Rumpleskiltsen right about now. I definitely need more coffee!

Not to jump in the middle of this, but there is another option here. As part of our last renewal, DH & I got the passport card also. So, now when we cruise, if we are at a port, the passport card stays in the safe, and the passport itself comes with us. We can return to the US from a cruise with just the passport card, but need the actual passport to fly back to the US.

One way you can add cash now into your onboard Sign & Sail account is to purchase "Cruise Cash" via the website. One warning though, it is considered 'non-refundable', so don't go overboard adding excessive amounts before you cruise, unless you know for sure you will use all of it. One caveat, that I've only read about here, and not experienced first-hand, is that supposedly you can load that Cruise Cash in the casino into your Casino Bank, and then you are done playing, you can cash out your casino bank at the cage in the casino.

so if you board around 11:30 will your cabin be ready?
yes!!

I think that's a great suggestion. Just let your DIL 'no-show' for the cruise, since you wouldn't get a refund for her anyway. I think, although I could be wrong, but if you tried to move the third passenger out of the triple cabin, into the other one, they might want you to pay the difference between their 3rd passenger fare and the 1/2 fare the the other cabin.

The last couple of surveys we have gotten have been by email a few days after we returned.

So going back to the tablecloths and the current tables in the MDR, perhaps they might go to the method of putting the tablecloth on the table, and then cover it with plexiglass or something like that? Covers up the nasty tables so they don't have to be replaced, need to wash the linens much less, etc.

Well, make sure YOU leave it as you found it, because we're boarding on Monday after you get off. If you find anything new & exciting, I guess I won't hear about it unless you post here during your cruise :D hint... hint... ;)

yet another reason to pack a magnet on the cruise, just in case...

I was thinking of going in and pre-paying our tips for our cruise next week on a separate credit card from the one I'm going to use for our S&S acct. Now I think I'll just buy some Cruise Cash with that other card (and print out appropriate documentation of course!)

Can the Bottomless Bubbles program be used for Sparkling Water? DH doesn't really drink soda but likes sparkling water, which they charge for.

My DH & I did this trip on our lat cruise to Puerto Vallarta and LOVED it. It is really beautiful, the boat ride over and back was wonderful, and the food they serve in the buffet was really good. They really do mean you can have unlimited beverages, both kid-friendly and adult. There were lots of beach toys, kayaks, rafts, etc. available, and the kids I saw were having a blast. I tried paddle-boarding for the first time. There are lots of great spots to just sit and watch the ocean and just chill.
We will definitely do this excursion again the next time we are in PV.

They can be in the same carry-on. Just don't pack them in your luggage that you give to the porters, it might not make it to your cabin.
-
It's not a problem seeing the excursions in general, but from your link if you click that you're ready to make a reservation, it takes you to the Activities area in the Manage My Cruise section, and when you click on the Shop Activities link, there are no excisions listed there. They are listed, however, for my November cruise.
The only think I can book right now is FTTF, but I don't need that (fortunately!)

Hopefully it is some glitch with the website. We're booked on the Thanksgiving trip to Catalina & Ensenada, and the shore excursions for Ensenada are available. We're also booked on the Feb 14th weekend getaway and no excursions are visible for Ensenada, just some "Home Port Advisory" I've never seen before. Here's what that says:
Excursion Overview

Notes
Please log in with your Booking # to see what is specifically available for your sailing.
Regarding Home Port excursions
Excursion Description
Please Note:
Not all excursions may be available for all sailings. Some excursions are only available for certain ships as a Port of Call excursion. Other excursions are only available for certain ships as a Home Port excursion. Please log in with your Booking # to see what is specifically available for your sailing.

I am logged in with my Booking number, but they are still not visible. The only other difference between the two bookings is that I have not made the final payment yet for the 2nd one. Maybe that's why I can't book an excursion?

Was this a scheduled dry dock? We sail on her on the 25th, so I hope they don't run into any delays!!

We are waiting onboard Star to disembark in San Pedro from our 7-day trip tp the Mexican Riviera. We brought onboard 12 bottles of wine, which we carried on. When we came to the metal detectors, they took our wheelie cart and escorted us to a talble, where an NCL employee put a sticker on each bottle and wrote u p a ticket for 12 bottles * $15 corkage fee. easy-peasy. With the sticker attached, we took wine with us to the dining rooms to the pool deck etc. At each place someone provided us glasses if needed, and removed the sticker from the bottle when we were done. We were told that they turn in the sticker for a portion of the corkage fee that they then get to keep.

Oooohhhh, I'm going to have to try that. I wonder how it would turn out making a sugar-free version, using Splenda???

Stay away from the frozen boat drinks, they are loaded with sugar & calories. Just have a 'Skinny Pirate" - Captain Morgan & Diet Coke. Although, since they aren't carrying Capt. Morgan anymore, I guess it will be that other spiced rum.
Or Vodka & sparkling water & a splash of one of the Crystal-Lite mixes.
