You should be OK as long as someone doesn't jump off the ship on the last night and the ship was late getting back to Fort Lauderdale .
Happened a couple of years ago on oasis during a September cruise we were on.
Total kaos on the promanade deck with a couple of thousand people trying to do early departure .
I was telling a nice couple we met from Washington at dinner how easy it was to do a self assisted departure .
I hope other people told them this was an unusual occurrence , as I am sure they were not happy with the information
They got from me.
We had a 12 o'clock flight so we were fine , but there was lot of anxious people in the line.
That was the only time we had an issue getting of the ship .
Chances are very unlikely you would miss your flight .

Been on both , Oasis class is the only class we will cruise on going forward.
If you like Radiance class you will find Oasis class very different .
We didn't like the Radiance class so much .
Its nice that RCCL offers many classes for all to enjoy .

As another posted indicated , you can arrange to have the kids at their own table .
You sound like a responsible parent , and as you mentioned your children are well behaved , so I am sure the staff and fellow passengers would welcome your wishes.
Have a great cruise .
-
We were seated next to table full of kids with their parents seated at the next table , about 10 kids in all.
All I can say is I had sympathy for the servers , they had no support from the parents to deal with their little darlings.
Next night we asked to be seated on the other side of dining room .
I have kids , they never acted the way these ones did . Food all over the place , yelling , screaming ... you know acting like kids .
I was more appalled at the parents than the kids .
Kids should be supervised in a dining room .

We were on last September and we found the dining room food was more than adequate . It was great for lunch too.
Windjammer was good for breakfast , lots of choices .
Didn't like the hamburgers though , but with all the other choices you wont go hungry .
We are going back again this September .
Enjoy the cruise !

As the other poster said , after you book your shows take a copy of them.
Then when they disappear , call them and after you get the first line of defence insisting that you make the mistake
Ask to be connected to the next level , taking names as you go. I always repeat their name in the conversation.
I was hung up on , so I called back . They claim the line was bad , and it was noted , since I had a name .
After I sent them the copy I got all my reservations magically reappear .
This took a few day's.
I have had this happen on Anthem and Allure .
Just remember to take names and be firm .
Good luck.

I just hand the porter the b and w ones and he folds and staples them onto the two suit cases ,
I give him 5 bucks and I find them delivered to my cabin a few hours later .
-
Oh ya , forgot to mention the French fries in the windjammer ... outstanding when they first come out .
But those burgers got to go . I don't like them , but lots of people eat them .Guess it's just me .
First time I tried them , and probably the last .
Many more choices to choose from in the buffet , other than the burgers , so I can't complain .
I actually like the windjammer for breakfast , lots of options to pick from , and the servers offer to bring you drinks
To your table . Great service by all the staff actually .

Was on the Allure last week.
Lamb chops and lamb shank was good, beef tenderlion was good also
Salmon was good . Even a new york steak was OK .
Lasangna was OK .
Lobster wasn't all that great .
All this in the main dining room , not the specialty restuarants .
Try the main dining room for lunch , nice salads and made to order pasta.
I don't think you will go hungry . Just don't expect michelin star rated food .
I may be the only one that likes the food on this board ... lol .

I never use mine. I show them a copy if I have it .
The porters at the terminal will make some for you.
Then I tip them .

As a huge football fan, I've never had much trouble watching games on ships.
As you can see in my avatar, I'm a Bengals fan... so frankly... it's not often my team is ever featured as the NATIONAL game. That said, I tape them at home with my NFL package as a backup. I can also watch on my phone's DirecTV app and since we're sometimes in port for 1pm games, I've done that as well.
As mentioned by others, I will confirm that On-Air and the Aquatheater are the places to watch on Oasis. As well as your room for some games. Monday and Thursday games I've watched from my room. Especially, when I was stuck in On-Air one night with a dozen +/- massive cry baby Steelers fans. Seriously guys, we beat you like once in a blue moon. Suck it up, buttercup.
On other ships, I've watched in the pub (whatever it may be named on that ship), the pool screen, and the sports bar Playmakers (only on a couple of ships) and I haven't found much difficulty.
Hey I resemble that remark , I didn't cry ( maybe a little bit )
Just keep that nasty linebacker from knocking out the wide receivers .
Who can throw 5 touchdowns and still lose to the jags ... Go big Ben

Send an e mail to web_reservations@rccl.com and they will let you know.

Thanks for the tip
I will do that

I am on in a few weeks ,
Who do you have for the headliner show ?
Thanks
-
The on air place features the football games on a larger screen .
I find the aqua theatre too humid after a short time.
I will be viewing a few games next month on the allure .
The fall is the best time to cruise if you like to break up the time with a bit of fine sport .
Go Steelers !

not a fan of the Serenade ….. too small for me , wont go back.
like the Oasis class much better … more entertainment and the promenade .
-
Easy one … oasis class all the way . for me anyway .
First cruise was voyager , we loved it , but as the ships got bigger we liked them better .
I have no trouble looking at the ocean when I want to , which is rare .
-
I booked rather late directly with RC a while ago , think it was the Liberty , and the agent gave me the option of a handicap suite.
He told me that if anyone with needs wanted that cabin they normally book far in advance , so it would probably remain empty if someone without needs does not take it .
So even if it was a handicap suite, they would not of offered it , if they felt it was taking an opportunity away
from a handicap person.

Nice post . Glad you enjoyed your cruise .
Judging by your pics and comments , I bet you will be back soon.
Happy cruising everyone !
-
Last cruise was Anthem , it was our first and last cruise on that ship.
We just like oasis class style ships more .
We are on Allure in a few months .
You should try it for yourself to see if it's a good fit for you though.
And we really wanted to like the Anthem , but choppy atlantic seas and getting to the ship from the airport
Through construction and heavy traffic wasn't appealing .
Ship was nice though.

I use a ta through my credit card to get more travel points .
Problem is when I see a price drop I send an email or phone and my request is totally ignored.
I may have gotten a 300.00 reduction but I won't know for sure , so I will be booking direct from now on.
The points I got would never even get close to 300.00
When she calls for final payment I will definitely put her on the spot

Thanks for the heads up .
I booked all of my shows last night for my Allure sailing in Sept .
Did it a couple of times to get what I wanted .
If you don't like what you get for dates and times , just delete and do it again .
Hope they are still there today .
My last Oasis cruise , everything was deleted by rccl . Luckily I printed a copy and emailed them and they
helped me out and replaced my picks .
I only care about the comedy show anyway , don't much care if I don't get the rest .
It's football season anyway , so I will have somewhat of a distraction for a few days .

Any Oasis class ship ... leaving from Miami or Fort Lauderdale .
Been on Voyager class, Freedom class, Oasis class and Radiance class and the Anthem .
Least fav was Serenade , that centrum doesn't cut it for me .Nice classic style ship though.
Anthem , really wanted to like it , because its closer to fly to , but didn't like the cab ride through construction and heavy traffic , and the rough Atlantic seas . Ship was ok , but I wont be back .
Oasis has lots of walking areas and the promenade is perfect for strolling .
We have decided that only Oasis class from now on .
Have Allure coming up in a few months .
Its nice that RCCL gives you so many choices , they have something for everybody .
After I get to diamond status , I may try Celebrity Solstice class
-
We usually go on Oasis class , get off for a an hour or two basically for a walk and exercise.
Then it gets too hot and back to the ship we go to cool off and have lunch . We always find someone
to chat with in the windjammer , as we find cruisers tend to be a friendly bunch.
-
I like the mdr . And I am looking forward to my fall cruise on the Allure to enjoy it once again .Its banquet quality food and that's what I am expecting , so no issues for me. .
If thats not what you want , you have options at extra cost.
