  1. Just got home Monday night following a month away... 4 days pre cruise in San Juan, then B2B2B on the Millie Feb 11, 18 and 25, then 2 days post cruise in San Juan. I can't recall all the questions asked here, but can assure you the Millie is in great shape and service was superb throughout our cruise. Starlink is working quite well (we had the basic internet plan included in our fare), but Cruise critic was not accessible at all, weirdly. It's true that there was no primerib, and lobster night showed a charge of $16 for a second tail, and the Le Petit Chef experience has been reduced to only one show now, whereas we had previously been able to choose from 3 different ones. We chose to try the buffet one night for dinner so we could see what all the fuss was about, and found it to be perfectly adequate in it's offerings and quality of food - there was a carving station, pasta station, stirfry station, indian fare, along with the usual salads, meats and cheeses, pizza, desserts, breads, etc. We have cruised multiple times on the Millie (and her sister the Summit) both pre and post revolution, and think they've done a great job with her upkeep and style. You'd never know she's the oldest gal in the fleet!! But alas, we returned home to 5 foot drifts of snow and minus 20C temps, and perhaps that has me missing her more than I normally would... can't wait to sail on her again in the coming year 🙂
  2. We had a room under the pool deck twice... the first time and the last time! It was quite noisy at all hours of the day, and night too unfortunately... scrapping of chairs and loungers, rolling of carts that sounded a little like thunder overhead at times, thumping from music both live and DJ'd. That balcony size is lovely, but it's a steep price to pay for that.
  3. We have sailed on the Millie (and her sister the Summit) a few times, both before and after the upgrades, and LOVE how they improved her! She's quite tastefully decorated, both in public spaces and in the rooms, and the storage (at least in balcony rooms, as we have not cruised in a suite, preferring the Sunset Verandah cabins) is plentiful and well laid out for our needs. We'll be back on board her again in just 2 weeks, staying for a 3 week B3B to escape from our Canadian winter weather. This will be our first X cruise since last fall when we cruised on the Eclipse out of Vancouver to Hawaii, so we have not yet experienced the negative changes that have been reported on over the last couple of weeks. We're pretty easy-going, and I expect that we'll still have a wonderful experience overall... In my mind, no so such thing as a "bad" cruise, and we're confident the positives will far outweigh any negatives. 🙂 I will likely do a "Live From" in order to answer any questions about the new changes to the Celebrity cruise experience, as well as any queries specific to the Millennium. Celine
  4. On our upcoming Millie cruises next month, the app menu shows Broiled Lobster Tail" in the MDR on day 6, and does not give any indication that there is a charge for additional tails.
  5. Ok this would definitely make the most sense to me... we board in a couple of weeks with the Premium package, so I'll have to see how it plays out 🙂 Thanks!
  6. I guess I’m still a little confused… The celebrity site specifically states that the large martinis are included in the premium package, so I’m still not sure why each of those martini bar choices has a $15 and an $18 price beside them.
  7. Yup… aware of that, but wondering what the $15/$18 refers to for the martini bar menu drinks?
  8. I noticed that most of the martini's listed show a price of " $15/$18 "... previously, the martini's at the martini specific bar were included in the premium package, but this would make it seem that they might not be? That pricing is a little confusing to me... can anyone shed some light on that?
  9. Almost exactly word for word our experiences and intentions as well.
  10. Not every balcony can be opened up to each other for use by guests.
  11. We got off a cruise on Dec 17th in Port Canaveral (RCL), so while not technically a Celebrity ship, still fairly relevant and current: -much like jelayne's experience, we found that about 10% of guests were masked in busier settings, like lineups for the MDR, theatre, lobby entertainment activities (we were among those folks) -about 10% - 20% of staff were masked through the 8 days, including some room stewards and some MDR/bar staff -No announcements of any cases of covid, no real chatter about it, and on our cruise at least, it didn't seem prevalent at all - we did not witness any significant coughing or other illness symptoms, and we personally (group of 5 of us) stayed healthy throughout and returned home healthy too
  12. Very true! Once I viewed diagrams and photos of the rooms, it all made sense as to why it's only alternating rooms whose balconies can be opened to one another. 👍
  13. Thanks for the very helpful info... Now I understand how how they pair up the balconies that CAN open to one another, and that it's due to the placement of the balcony egress door alternating in each room. Makes sense! But why they wouldn't have set up adjoining rooms to have adjoining balconies as well is a little weird to me. Now I know which ones to book - thanks again everyone! 🙂
  14. Trying to get some definitive answers on the topic of balcony dividers, specifically on the Magic. I know that some rooms are adjoining, meaning there is a connecting door inside the room itself to allow passage, but my question is strictly to do with the balcony dividers. In the diagram below, would rooms 9292 and 9296 have the balcony divider that can be opened? How about 9284 and 9288 (regardless of their adjoining room status)? Thanks 🙂
  15. Ohhhh darn... ok, thank you for checking on that for me 🙂 happy New Year!
  16. Thank you for checking on that for me, did you happen to notice if they have the Meiomi?
  17. Ooooh heyyyy... one more request if you're looking for something to do (haha!): Do you think you might be able to find out if they are carrying either Belle Glos or the Meiomi pinot noir wines by the glass, and if so, how much they are? Many thanks!! 🙂
  18. Glad to hear you made it out of TO on time... what a total gong show for most travel in Canada the last week or two though.. wow! Excitedly following your post as we will be boarding the Millie for a few weeks in February - can't wait! Our last Celebrity cruise was in Sept on the Eclipse, and a few times there were specialty restaurant staff wondering around trying to get guests to sign up for a discount for the Tuscan and Le Petit Chef - have you noticed any staff doing that on your cruise? Generally makes it considerably more economical to wait for that deal rather than booking in advance. You mentioned the live music has been great to listen to... hoping at least one of the offerings has some good danceable music? As in top 40/disco/easy rock... ? Hope you continue to enjoy your vacation, and that everything is very smooth for you for your return to the frozen northern tundra we live in 😉
  19. Did the juice of a lemon.. not sure adding some lime juice is quite what it needs... 😞
  20. Hiya cruisers… Any chance anyone is currently on board and could get the exact recipe for the lavender daiquiri from schooners? There is one online that shows 1 ounce lavender syrup, 1 ounce Bacardi superior rum, and juice of a lemon… but it definitely doesn’t taste the same as it did on the ship last week. Hoping someone can get the exact ingredients and measurements for me🙏
  21. Having done that itinerary, I would actually say Santorini, probably against popular opinion. Santorini was actually a little boring for us, and while seeing Oia is pretty (the famous blue roofed white domed buildings), there really wasn't a lot else there for us. We took the tram up the mountain, though some in our group chose the donkey route - they regretted that after one of them got scraped up knees on the walls due to their cranky animal. Ooops. But we really loved going to the Acropolis in Athens so much!!! The history, the views, and then enjoying traditional Saganaki, bread and wine in a little streetside cafe afterwards.
  22. Thanks for the info on the hair conditioner.. will definitely bring my own on! LOL! One more question... does the app give guests the ability to "chat" with each other while on board without having to invest in a wifi plan? Thanks again 🙂
  23. Loving your review! We're boarding a sister to the Radiance, the Jewel, next week, so you're definitely whetting our appetite! Question... in regular balcony cabins, can you show a picture of what they have for shampoo, conditioner, and soap? Specifically... wondering if they use the shampoo/conditioner "2 in 1" combo that is just hideous... or do they have an actual conditioner? Thanks... and hope you continue to enjoy a glorious cruise!!
  24. Thanks! I think the Merritt mall option is probably the best one... and UBER it is 🙂
  25. We definitely won’t be renting a car, but Uber is some thing we can do… Macy’s sounds appealing, and somebody else suggested Bealls which sounds like it could be a good one as long as they have good stock in store and not just what they show online. My sister is definitely a shop in person kind of gal… Ordering stuff online is out of the question for her. Hoping she can find at least two or three outfits to augment what she has now… but thankfully her feet and mine are the exact same size so she doesn’t have to worry about any shoe shopping as I will be bringing plenty enough for both of us lol
