  1. I booked Seaside for May 26th 2018 and am excited....BUT also nervous. Frankly, reviews for MSC are horrible. We'll see I guess....the ship looks too good to pass up, and the price is right. But......

I am reading great reviews of Divina out of Miami lately and am hoping that the service folks are getting transfers to Seaside.

  2. From what I can make out, when using the web check-in you can also upload your picture for security as it will save you time dockside at initial boarding. The web check-in also includes the information you mentioned, passport, address etc.

This is actually very cool idea. Will definitely upload our photos with web check-in.

  3. You can't really use any MSC reviews when it comes to Seaside. Seaside is being built and the "service" designed for the American traveler and the Caribbean so they are making huge changes on what they produce/serve, etc. versus their European cruises for that ship. Sure some things may be the same, but until the first few sailing happen no one can accurately provide a review on what will happen on Seaside.

  4. No one knows what Seaside and Seaview cabins actually are going to end up looking like as MSC has not released anything but a few mock-ups of them. Once Seaside information comes out you will then be able to get more info on Seaview since they are sister ships. Generally when a cruise line builds two "identical" ships, small changes occur on the 2nd ship based on lessons learned from the first.

All descriptions for the spas list what you are asking about and since they are using them as advertisement points to sell cabin space I think all will be on the ships but again, until Seaside is actually introduced to us via photos or press releases and TA tours conducted by MSC everything is speculation and subject to changes.

  5. If SeaView info follows the same path as Seaside there will be very, very little factual info the first year or so. Lucky for you, SeaView is the sister ship to SeaSide so you will be able to follow Seaside and get a much better understanding on everything.

  6. I talked to a travel agent and even a customer rep for MSC and they were not very helpful. I then found a travel agent with a good deal that sounded rather knowledgeable. Here's what he said:

    1) Bowling, F1 Simulator and 5D Theater would be an extra cost … estimated at $60 per cabin for unlimited use.

    2) Zip-line is free.

    3) Cirque du Soleil Dinner Show will be extra (mush less than the $120 price in Las Vegas).

Seems no one really knows until MSC decides to let us know. Until then I think it is all speculation.

  7.

The F1 simulator, 4D cinema and 10 pin bowling alley can be bought for $35 per cabin and gives unlimited access to the three entertainments for all occupants of the cabin.

These are the things I can think of quickly

    Pete

Where did you read this? I have not seen any pricing for these items of the ziplines.

  8. Let's hope that someone from MSC is following here on CC and would relay the message to corporate to publish some updates regarding cabins, configurations and the many other questions that people have about Seaside. How about the CC Editor asking on behalf of CC members?

I highly doubt anyone from MSC is hanging out here. It would be better for those with questions to post to them via Twitter and Facebook as they seem to be responsive to those avenues.

  9. I've noticed this as well. I can find thread for my sailing which I have posted in by going thru my subscribed threads, but I cannot find the Seaside RC's via the "Find Your Roll Call" feature.

Thanks Todd! At least I know I am not going crazy. There were 20-30 Roll calls and now all hidden... Weird!

  10. What I dislike is they are bracelets/bands. I already wear a Apple watch and can't stand anything on my other wrist (and no I wont not wear it, its my fitness counter). From what I have read your iPhones will work with the system as well sure hope so.
