Mine was the old NCL Sky in 1980, a four day Bahamas cruise. Hooked? Yes, sir. Just love cruising - actually, any kind of travel has me hooked!

Joanie, I love your thread! We have the oportunity to up-grade to SS6101, but haven't found any info in it. Can't seem to find where you are posting the photos you receive. The only ones I found are the 'stock' photos on your ship info pages.
Can you point me in the right direction? Trying to find the actual size of the stateroom I mentioned.
Thanks for your help!

Joanie, Thanks so very much for all the work you do putting all this stuff together. Here is my question, though. 4168 on Nieuw Amsterdam is adjacent to a stairway. Is the balcony, then, wider than the stateroom, or is it 'dead' space?

This past spring I sailed on =X= Eclipse in an S-class stateroom, which class has a 'dedicated' dining room, Blu. I never had a desire to dine elsewhere while on that cruise, the food was so excellent!

Whoops! Our SC was not on deck six, but on deck 8! Sorry!

Is there any difference between category SB & SC except for deck & location on the ship (and of course the cost)? Are there special SB perks or are the SB cabins different?

Candydane, All SA, SB and SC enjoy the same amenities - Neptune Lounge, breakfast in Pinnacle Grille or Queens Lounge, special officers cocktail party in Neptune Lounge, unlimited laundry. When my sister and I were on Oosterdam two years ago we were in port/aft SC on, I believe, deck 6. The wraparound veranda was so huge that we had the CC Meet and Greet on our balcony with about 45 people. Not crowded at all! The beverage manager was quite happy to accommodate us, providing food and drink, and thus freeing up his lounges for others to enjoy. And the SC below us had a smaller room, and slightly smaller veranda.

Eclipse cabin 1504:
Deck 11
Class AQ
Area Starboard
Bed near Bath
Quiet? Yes
Balcony view -Unobstructed straight out and asstern. Could see over and under Bridge wing. Not a problem
Balcony size Normal
Wind problem? No
Soot problem? No
Comments: With bed set up as twins, there was literally only 10 inches of space between bed and closet door, making it almost impossible to use. Never unpacked most of our hanging garments and lived out of our suitcases for most of the week. These cabins are very cramped and would not book one again. And we are not large people.
Thanks for keeping this info current!

Well... this is getting off topic since the 5-8:30 hours are RCL and not Celebrity, but as far as those hours: Which would you prefer to make things fairer for the early diners: Closing the lounge from 6 to 7:30 so the servers could sit around with their hands in their pockets or opening it for early diners only at 2:30 so you could get a full 3 1/2 hours of free drinking in? Seriously though - this seems like one of those things where you just can't please all of the people all of the time.
I was not aware of this perk for Elites - guess I don't pay enough attention to what is available for the different levels! Are you saying that drinks are free during happy hour in Michaels for elites?

Just want all to know (and, again, Thank You Jennifer and Greg) I am the grateful recipient of a referral coupon for my sailing on Legend 10/16/2010!
When I return from that trip, if the program is still in existence, I will post my coupons here. What a great way to share our experiences!:D

First, to Ariawoman: Jen, Thank you so very much for sharing your referral coupon with my sister and me! That was so great of you to do. And I will certainly pass mine along when I finish my cruise. Just think I will post the availability on this thread when I get home, so folks know to contact me!:D
And to another Jen - Jen and Shelly: So look forward to meeting you on-board.:) We will be in 134 on deck 4. With a ship this size, guess we will not have an organized meet and greet, so we will have to do our own.
Shall we start a thread for this cruise? I think so, and will look into that tomorrow. Have spent far too much time on the computer today!!!!! And if we get any more visitors for our cruise, I'll keep a spread sheet so we can contact each other off line if anyone wants me to.

Katiestan1, I see you are sailing on the 16 October. Which ship are you on? My sister and I have just booked Legend for that date, and yours is the first posting for the 16th I have seen on Seabourn's board.

SailorJack, thanks so much for this most humorous cruise review I have ever read! Been on CC for a couple of years and this is the first I've come across. Now I'll have to start searching for 'back issues'.
