I was using the daily to see open bars..... posted menu of Lido bar earlier...... no 0% listed 🤷‍♀️

1430 due to poor weather the shuttle service to the terminal has been temporarily suspended. I've been to request an appointment with the Guest Services Manager so if you've any ship specific questions please let me know asap.

Currently sat in the Explorations Café. Update..... ship has been cleared to disembark 1008. Popped out on deck 10. Did not venture up to the cabana area.

The Lido Market. Amazing buffet space. Loads of counters conveniently laid out. GF / vegan options on request. They have GF oat milk!! Self serve coffee etc

Day 2/23 Good morning and thanks for following. I usually post chronologically but am interrupting with a Captain's announcement at 0820. There was a storm over night in Buenos Aires where we are berthed. Power in the city interrupted. Terminal operations affected. Trees down. Containers stack collapsed. No one allowed ashore. Excursions affected.

Was surprised they had it on board if I'm honest. It was fine though Geoff requested the added fruit! I don't drink very much alcohol, barely any on land. More when I'm cruising. Geoff enjoys several glasses/bottles of wine anywhere! The basic drinks package included in the HIA works for us.

@FLCruiser97 HUGE apologies. The door IS magnetic..... it's my magnetic decals that aren't!!!!

Yes. I brought magnetic hooks with me. Currently have my laundry bag hanging on one!

Dinner was delightful. Sat with four others by a window at the aft so we had to get the blinds adjusted against the sun. Currently sat in the Pinnacle bar with my usual first drink of a cruise..... Pimm's!!! .

@TravelBluebird wifi is with the included HIA package. Certainly isn't a sofa for stretching out on. Geoff has claimed it. I'll lounge on the bed! @FLCruiser97 the door isn't magnetic. I've stuck my decals to the corridor bulkhead

We've boarded, watched the Muster video, visited our Muster point and got a couple of cans of water (no plastic bottles on HAL). Unpacked and getting ready for dinner. Verandah cabin on Deck 6. The cabin door isn't magnetic! I bought the birthday package as a surprise. Balloons, flowers and a solitary cupcake! . .

When out I wore my pearl stud earrings, a couple of silver rings and a silver bangle which I hardly ever remove! I did leave a large jade stone ring behind. A girl offered to take our pic outside the cemetery, she liked my look apparently, there was no way I was parting with my phone!

Cruise Day 1 / 23 Good morning and thanks for following! Still at the hotel, all packed and ready to go. A fruit bowl laden with fresh fruit appeared whilst we were at breakfast. I had a mild reaction to the soup I'd been given last night 🤦‍♀️ Just realised I hadn’t mentioned the soup..... we both ordered tomato soup, mine GF. We were given the wrong bowls... I had a few spoonfuls before we realised. Took a trip to floor 17 to grab pics of the Club Lounge and the view.

Last pics from yesterday. We now go shopping. I have 2 stores to visit. We're in the Florida neighbourhood. Had I the time I could have had a wonderful spree there! Fabulous shops and such a favourable currency exchange! There's a house on the very top of a building. The man who owned the building, an immigrant from Spain, built his home on the roof of his fabulous furniture store! I have a collection from around the world. They didn't have Buenos Aires or Argentina.

I want to visit the Cathedral. Pope Francis was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires for 15 years. Then known as Archbishop Jorge Bergoglio, he used to hold mass at this cathedral before moving to the Vatican in 2013. The cathedral houses the Pope Francis Museum, which holds some of his personal and liturgical objects. . . . .
