  1. My family group of seven are on the explorer of the seas cruise in May next year. I’m trying to book flights and transfers now as I like to be organised and not leave things till the last moment. I’ve got a hotel and transfers booked for the arrival into Bologna airport (staying in Ravenna for a couple of nights) but haven’t booked the flights as yet. The flight options for the return are 11.40am or 16.40 to the London. Does anyone know if I’m able to leave the ship at 07.00 am and whether this leaves enough time for the 11.40 flight please. It just seems a heck of a long wait until 16.40 especially with a kid aged 1 1/2 as well as two other children. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

  2. My wife and I are on Anthem in September and in a grand suite. In the suite lounge are the drinks from the old limited list or can you get any alcoholic drink now.  I’m teetotal but my wife likes a Pernod and I just wondered if that would be available on this our first trip back for two and a half years. Things have changed so I wondered if this is a change from a couple of years ago. Thanks

  3. Sailing out of Ravenna and was looking at booking a transfer from the cruise terminal at Ravenna to Bologna airport. There’ll be 7 of us including three kids and therefore require a minibus type vehicle. Anyone got any suggestions please. It’ll be a Sunday transfer so don’t know if tha5 makes a difference. Thanks in advance

  4. My TA has told me that I’ll have to get my D+ membership by going to the customer services desk on board. If they do it now they will change the price and I’ll lose the $550 OBC but get the £200 discount. Seems crazy having to do that and then rely on the staff on board to change it. In that case my D+ status will not be printed on the card. I’m now in two minds to just go for the C&A discount rather than the on board credit. Clearly having the 5 drinks vouchers each day for myself and my wife are more valuable than the difference of $240. What a crock though

  5. I’ve just booked a cruise out of Ravenna for next May and my travel agent advised that if I didn’t give my membership numbers then I would get $550 on board credit. If I used the numbers I would get a discount off the cruise price of £200 (around $260) but only get $50 OBC. That’s a couple of hundred dollars benefit. That leaves a dilemma as RCI are advising that we will not get our C+A benefits (particularly the 5 drinks voucher per day). I’ve been advised to take it up with the ‘on board reception’ and they’ll add it to my card. I’m not convinced and wondered if anyone has faced this before and what happened please? My wife and I are both diamond plus and have booked a grand suite.

    Thanks for any advice

  6. I know about the D etc free vouchers on your card but as we’re sailing in a suite on Anthem just wondered whether they had changed from the limited list of alcoholic drinks to ones from the top shelf, like Pernod. If it hasn’t changed then fine but thought I’d read somewhere that it had been altered in the SL

  7. Hi Radio

    Really enjoying your reviews.

We’re on a b2b on Oasis which stops at cococay week 1 and week 2. I’ve booked a south beach cabana for the second week and was going to book a day bed at either chill island or south beach for the first visit. I’ve researched but can’t see clearly the locations (photos) of both so I can choose. Any advice or detail would be appreciated if you have it please

  8. I believe the drinks are unlimited in the suite lounge and you don’t need to use your vouchers if you are diamond or above. What I’m not sure about is whether the old drinks menu is still in force or whether you can have any drink up to the normal $13. Maybe someone can advise on that point
