oops, misread, sorry!

I asked about this a little while back. I was told that Carnival discontinued this program.

Please, please, please do not let the mouth of the bottle touch the spigot of whatever you are pouring into it.
The appropriate thing to do is use one of the cups at the station, fill that and then our into your cup/bottle.

Iltutcruiser, be sure to come back and report on your experience w/ the Breeze interior spa cabin. I have one booked for the end of March, one of the long ways ones on Deck 12. Hoping to read as much as I can on them!

We used Island Trams in 2013. Didn't even book it ahead of time, just walked up to the booth and apid. Wanted to get off at the lighthouse and catch a later tram, but it was kinda crowded, and my companions were afraid we might not get seats. Might ahve to give it another try in March!

Well, poo. We used it in 2013, and it was great!

I will be on the Breeze March 2020/Port Canaveral. Does Carnival still do the Luggage Express thing where for a fee they send your luggage direct to the airport? We may be taking a late flight and would rather send it on rather than dragging it to the car rental office.

Where are you staying? We stayed at the Radisson, and there was a tasty place right next door. Don't recall the name, but it had great pizza. Plan on eating there again in March.
We also ate at the Tiny Turtle in Cocoa Beach for lunch, but it's a VERY casual place, plus you would need to taxi or Uber there.
EDIT: here's the Italian/pizza place: http://kelseyscanaveral.com/

Be sure to keep the actual cards until after the cruise just in case there's a problem w/ the funds!

Forgot the name of the place, but it's inside the bldg where Hangar on the Wharf is in Juneau. Yummy pizza!

I will say that lodge is a decent amount away form Denali NP, but they have the BEST view of the Mountain at the turnoff from the main road. We lucked into a clear day on our drive up last June and pulled off for pics. Gorgeous!!!

Do you have a Costco membership? I booked my Vanc-Seattle car for June 2018 (one day rental) on 1/28/18 through them, picked Avis on Hornby St (few blocks away from the pier) & got a fullsize for 135.95 CAD including tax. I think at the time that was a little less than $100 US. We had more luggage than anticipated (three ladies traveling together!), so I asked the agent if they had anything a little bigger, and I ended up w/ a Dodge Journey, no extra charge. Was planning on paying extra but didn't have to.

We did the Eielson shuttle, sled dog demo, visitor center, ATV/rafting combo. Couldn't do any hiking because I was having knee problems.

Just pray they are not pumping out a tank while you stop! That happened to us on one of our bathroom stops in June. Oh my-lanta!!! My nose barely works, and I was dying!
-
Does that include the Coastal Classic train between Anchorage and Seward? I would assume they carry a LOT of cruise people over the season.
-
I just looked it up on galveston.com. The motorcycle thing is the weekend of 11/1-4. Your date has the Fall Flounder Classic fishing tournament. Guess that pulls in a big crowd???

I had a car a couple of weeks ago from Lynn View. You pick it up right at the ship, not up at the Lodge. Very nice lady, lots of pretty stuff in her shop. If I'd had room in my luggage, I would have picked up some!
I was booked for a Mazda CX5 but needed up with a Subaru, Outback I think (that's smaller than the Forester, right?). Great shape, drove fine. I think all their vehicles are SUVs.
Drove up the Haines Highway. Ate lunch at the Roadhouse, no pie :( (only one available was black n blue, all others were cooling. I don't like fruit pies.). Saw one lone eagle at a pullout (was there driving up and driving back). Saw a bear crossing the road but it was at a curve and was gone by the time we got closer. Saw lots and lots of scat beside and in the road. ;p so there were plenty of bears around. Several mile construction area not too far past the golf course area. Wait for the pilot truck driving out was around 20 minutes, coming back we lucked out and only waited 7 minutes. The drive behind the pilot truck was like 4-5 miles!
Crossed into Canada and made it up to the Haines Summit before turning back. It was pretty warm in town (made it to 63 that day), but it was chilly (mid 40s) at the Summit!!! Drove around town a bit (park visit some places, move car and visit some more, etc - my knee was not working well), turned the car and headed to the ship. Would have liked to do more active stuff, but my knee was not cooperating, and my companions were tight w/ the funds :).

We were originally on the Noordam, but ended up switching to the Westerdam because of the internet plans (I need to stay connected to work, unfortunately). Westerdam is the only HAL ship that I know of that has an unlimited plan.
I was on this Noordam cruise (6/10-17). We had the internet that was priced per day, not the minute packages. Is that the unlimited, or did you pay a flat fee for the week?
-
Please ensure you are gentle on the Noordam.:D We will be getting on as you are leaving in Seward next Sunday (June 10th). It's our 2nd cruise with Holland and beyond excited for our first Alaskan cruise.
Me too!!! :D
-
Hope we get the same good weather (or better) when I am on the Noordam arriving in Juneau in two weeks!
-
I would post this on the RCL board to see if anyone there has used the transfer.
-
Hey Tracy! I recognize you from Passporter. I'm not stalking, I swear! Based on what I've read of your writings over there, in Anchorage you would enjoy an excursion I was reading about over on the HAL board called
The Big Swig. You go to three different breweries.

I will be right there with you! We are doing a DIY land trip, but we leave the same day (6/5) and are on the same cruise. Hope we ALL have a great time!!!
Hotel suggestions?

On our trip, we got in late and stayed at the Comfort Suites right at the airport. There is an Enterprise Car rental around the corner, so we took the hotel shuttle and picked up the car then next morning to save a little money. There's also a Fairfield Inn & Suites Midtown a little further down the road that we stayed at, too that was nice. There's also an Enterprise near it, too.
