Sandebeach: I'm curious about your upcoming cruise list. If you're sailing every month, how long would you say you're actually at home relative to days at sea !?! Unless some of them are shorter 1-2 week cruises, I don't see that you're home all that much. Incredibly busy travel schedule! I couldn't do it.
We are retired and live in South Florida. We try to cruise at least once a month, but will cruise more if we get deals/discounts through the casino. Many of our cruises are 4 days, so we will try to add on a 3-day to make it a week or more. We are also trying to do our bucket list travel cruises now, while we are both healthy and mobile.

Just saw on a FB page that Adventure of the Seas pulled into Labadee at midnight one night and delivered supplies. The supplies might be for the people living there?

We saw Showband last month on Icon. I enjoyed it but my husband got bored with it.

We loved Coastal Kitchen on Icon. It is the only two-story CK in the fleet. We also loved the Suite Sun Deck and the Grove (buffet area with sandwiches and small plates, open usually in the afternoon).

Yay a live review from Sue!! Looking forward to following along. I was hoping to use my just-released annual casino cruise for Icon for next March, but since Icon is excluded, now looking at Symphony.

I just spot checked Freedom and every regular balcony cabin had the bed next to the balcony (even side by side rooms).
Yes, this is true. Currently on Freedom B3B and moved this morning from balcony cabin 6634, next door to 6636. Both cabins have the bed by the balcony.

Go up to Coastal Kitchen as soon as you board and tell the host that you would like to make a dinner reservation and see what he says. That is a repositioning cruise and besides Suites, may have a lot of Pinnacles onboard. But if you check early with CK, you will probably be able to get reservations for several nights. You may have to be flexible with the time/times that you dine. Good luck!

My app updated and I can no longer locate the health questions. Does anyone know how I can access them?
It is not a problem. They will verbally ask you the two health questions when you check in at the port.

FWIW we booked a Haven Aft Facing Penthouse with Master Bedroom and Large Balcony.
Thanks everyone for your help. There are quite a few differences between the NCL model and Royal's. I'll have to start doing some research to figure it all out.
This is the cabin we had on the Escape and my husband still talks about it as his favorite balcony!

There's an interesting post on the Royal Caribbean Blog today called "Spotted: Royal Caribbean trademarks new customer loyalty program names." Could mean anything (or nothing at this point)! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to it, but it's easy enough to find via Google.
Was just reading the Blog and wondering if it means changes are coming to the Crown and Anchor program.

I think "first night" CK is still the best. 😋
The first night filet in CK is really good!

Surprisingly enough, I have found the filet in Giovanni's better than chops and both better than the MDR
I agree with you.

I’ve sailed in suites on almost all cruise lines. The experience on NCL is different in that all the facilities are located in one area behind closed doors. You need a key to get into the Haven complex. You’ll have your restaurant, pool, bar, hot tubs, etc all within that closed in area instead of being spread out like on some of Royals ships. The Haven is a ship within a ship. The only other experience I can compare it to is MSCs Yacht club.
Yes, I agree, MSC Yacht Club has a similar feel to NCL Haven.

We have only stayed once in NCL Haven on the Escape, that was pre-Covid. We still talk about how much we enjoyed the lounge and restaurant. If you have stayed in a suite on Wonder, the Suite Neighborhood on Wonder has a similar feel and layout to the Haven.

On Liberty last week and yes, you can charge on the slot machine to your room and play.

Boarding this tomorrow in FLL. Sad news for the family, hopefully they do make up time so boarding isn't a problem.
We just got off and in a taxi heading home. We docked at Terminal 19 instead of 18.

Some passengers were talking and said something similar this morning. I guess I was wrong with my timing, it was after 4 not 2-3 AM. Such a tragedy.

Currently on Liberty, heading back from Puerto Plata. Woke up last night between 2-3 and thought I heard an “Alpha, Alpha, Alpha”. Learned this morning that it was an “Oscar, Oscar, Oscar”. Other passengers said that the lifeboats had been out around the ship all morning. Later the Captain announced that the Coast Guard was taking over the search. At noon the Captain announced that we would be making up time and will probably only be an hour and a half late getting back to Ft. Lauderdale, we should be docking around 7:30 AM. My thoughts go out to all affected by this sad situation.

I would have loved to have gone to Grand Turk on Independence, instead of CocoCay. It has been a while since we went to Grand Turk, we were on Carnival.
