Thanks for the heads up, we will grab tickets to the Pantheon thoughts on walking to Colosseum and then taking taxi to train? Arrive 10h10 am train station.....take a train to Piazza Navona and stroll that area until around 11h30 walk to Pantheon......stroll that area, possibly get tickets in advance to see inside and have lunch.......(till approx. 2pm). walk to Fontana di Trevi and stroll around....till approx. 3pm... sounds like it would be too tight to fit in Colosseum if our train is at 4h30.....is there something else that would be easier? I guess if we don't go inside Pantheon and spend less time strolling every where, we could be done Pantheon at 1pm and Trevi at 2pm which would leave 2.5 hrs to get to colosseum and train station....

Hi, we booked the express train from the port to Roma Ostiense. It arrives at 10h10 am and leaves at 4h30pm. We were thinking of taking a cab from the train to the Pantheon and then spend our time in that area, including lunch (Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona) and then take a taxi back to the train station. How easy will it be to grab taxis, do they do UBER in Rome? We've been a few times already in those places but kids (10 and 13) have never but I can't imagine they will want to spend too much time in each area so another option would be to do a couple of hours at the Pantheon then walk to either Pantheon or Colosseum (if even good walking area) and then cab to train station. Any thoughts/advice? thanks!

It's odd I see there is a CE train in the morning on June 29th but the return around 4pm is not showing?

Hi, I went on the following website to try and book train tickets. We are going on June 29th. I was hopping to get the one that leaves at 9am and comes back late afternoon (the express one). When I put Civitavecchia and Roma Ostiense, the only thing that pops up is 9h16 arriving at 10h46 with 1 stop, i.e. the direct express does not seem to be available? In the drop down, I'm putting "main solutions". The return shows 4h09 pm arriving at 5h44pm. We arrive in port at 7am and leave at 8pm. Our focus was going to be Trevi Fountain area... what are we doing wrong that we don't see the direct train? EN - Trenitalia

Thanks! the cruise ship excursion goes to Aqualand in Arenal. Would they be similar? Our kids are 10/12. we often go to the carribean so they have seen a lot of beaches and usually get bored after 30 minutes so we thought a Waterpark on this island would be fun for them considering the other stops will be more sightseeing/cultural.

Thanks for the great information! We will book a flight. Either the 950am or 1240pm with Air France. I’ll see if there is a fare type that is easily changeable ie either book 1240 and if early take 950 if not full or book 950 and if miss , hope 1240 is not full

I saw there is a 950am flight If I walk off at 7am (suite) with carry on luggage and I purchase fast track for airport, seems like this would be possible? let’s say I get to airport by 8am then I go through fast track line at security (can’t imagine that taking more than an hour), then 9 am post security for 950 flight to Paris? I wouldn’t do this for my international flight to Canada but I assume there are tons of flights to Paris if we miss the 950

Hi everyone, we’ve never been to Barcelona but we are avid cruisers. After the cruise we want to go to Paris for 5 nights and fly out to Paris back to Canada. We’d like to get to Paris as soon as possible. Looks like it’s 9hrs drive, 7hrs train or 2 hrs flight but the benefit of driving is we could do 7am walkoff (we just do carryon) and hit the road vs everything else is as schedule. A 2 hrs flight seems very appealing. If we only have carry ons snd our boarding passed do we just need to go through security ie sinxe EU to EU no customs? If I do walk off (we are suite), carryon, EU to EU, what is the earliest I could take a flight? I know lots of posts on this but they don’t specify carry on and Barcelona to paris…. oh and original question. If we do car rental do you know any company at port (or port delivery) that allows one way to Paris? we are traveling in june on symphony of seas thanks!!
