This isn’t surprising.  I don’t think both the Millennium and Eclipse will go to Asia (Guessing neither) and return in late April.  I think it is likely they will stay idle until the Alaska season starts.  I also wouldn’t surprised If both the Constellation and Infinity stay in their current location and same for the Solstice.
With the expected situation at start up, short cruises limited ports and space,  my prediction would be that the Edge & Apex are the first to start followed by the Summit, Equinox and maybe the Reflection.
I hope I’m wrong as we have 2 cruises booked on the Infinity  & 2 on the Eclipse between now and the end of April.

We should have boarded the Eclipse today for a 45 night B2B2B 😢

We are on the Transpacific in April (Japan to Vancouver) on the Millennium...this is what I am thinking will happen too.  I am guessing the Millennium will do coastals (or Mexico) instead before heading to Vancouver in May.   We have had this cruise booked since May 2019 and got such a great deal...oh well...such is life.

SMH. In spite of the government's advisory to avoid all non-essential travel outside Canada until further notice; the requirement for quarantine when re-entering Canada; the fact that your insurance may not cover your travel or medical expenses; the medical community's concern over the simultaneous threat from flu and coronavirus at that time; and the high incidence of COVID-19, you are still going to travel to the US just to visit Disney this November? Wow!

Thanks for your suggestion.  We usually take taxi service with the fixed rate; we are only a party of two.  This year, we decided to do something a little different and take Canada Line.  Looking forward to our new adventure in transportation.

Yup, our transit is always an adventure that is for sure (I hate it with a passion)

Sun Princess is currently up for sale. She showed up on a list of cruise ships for sale that I saw a week or so ago, and a Princess rep confirmed that yesterday when I was chatting to her after doing some changes to my booked cruises.

It's a shame from my perspective. We've done two cruises on her and she's one of my favourite ships. She's a good size for some of the Australian-based South Pacific itineraries, and also for cruises out of Fremantle in Western Australia.

Thank you for that information...I appreciate that.

Well the Sun Princess is a 30 year old ship. It sails mostly out of Australia/Asia region. Its on its current Circle Pacific cruise. However, it is a ship that is a long term favourite of Australian cruisers. I have sailed on her before and would again. Has lovely wide promenade wrap around deck holding about 2000 passengers. It was recently refurbished in 2018

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer ships. But has a old charm about it.

Actually the Disney Wonder is only a few years younger than the Sun.

Thanks for answering my question.  That must be a long cruise if there is nothing in the summer :)

The pictures posted from Vancouver didn't make it look very nice though, but maybe it just needed some cleaning up before it went on it's way to Alaska :)

She is in Juneau today. She looks fine to me.

I would rather be sailing her around the Pacific than a 7 day Alaska on Disney.

Disney is an awesome cruiseline.  The pictures from VAncouver had her with a lot of rust and looking very dirty on the outside.

  7. I had (notice past tense LOL)a friend...who posted a scathing picture comparison of the Disney Wonder and the Sun Princess in Vancouver on Monday.  She made a bunch of comments on how disgusting the ship looked and that it made her want to vomit.  Now I will have to admit it looked bad, but...there has to be a reason that it isn't looking all shiny.  I can't even find an itinerary until SEptember, but it is on her way up to Alaska.  What is going on with her?

If you enjoy it and it makes you happy why not?  Just don't use anything you are attached to because things may get stolen.

Yup, that is why I don't spend a lot of money on mine.  Heck if people want to help themselves, I bring lots of extra .

Speak for yourself !!! Love it !

Thank you :)  We do it for fun and I loved rotating them around between the other ones in our cabin.  I know some people think it is tacky...that is ok :)

We are doing the opposite direction crossing in April 2021....yup, booked for almost 2 years from now! I think your itinerary would be great. And although one poster thought X had cut back on their daily activities, I personally didn’t note that so I think a crossing with extended sea days would be interesting, and the ports of call on this cruise look fun to try.

We are doing the opposite of Tokyo to Vancouver so we dont have the very long flight back after the cruse, but thats just us. Lots of those on our cruise are doing a B2B of cruising a  large number of Japanese ports prior to the TP which makes sense with flying that distance. Can’t do that ourselves, but always something to consider for you.

With our TransAtlantics, we are now adding a week prior to go wander the UK and on other TA’s, we’ve done B2B. Take advantage of the time and cost of flying to Europe (and in this case, Japan!).

Enjoy, this looks very unique and fun.

We are booked on that one too...can't wait.  We will be spending our pre cruise stay near Disneyland

  11. and honestly...if I cared what other people thought of what I do...I wouldn't leave the house.  I could care less if people don't like my decorated door.  Move along and don't look then LOL.  I have fun, I keep it to my door and I smile every time I walk down our hallway.   I love it when others decorate their door.  It is great to see it happening more often.

Tacky is a good word...more  appropriate for Disney or Royal  C  where kiddies abound, but I guess things are blending these days.  Doesn't  hurt my enjoyment any, but  it shows a new  "fun ship" demographic taking hold!

I am hard core Disney tacky 🙂  You should see my house LOL

Were you on the Summit on this? I saw the "Happy Mother's Day" which is when we took off for Bermuda. I didn't see it on the ship (we were on 7) but it would've made me smile to see it!

This was last month on the Millennium to Alaska...we got lots of compliments about the door and smiles

"Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder", but IMHO this is just tacky!

Note to self...never invite this person over to my house...the Disney decorations might be a little to tacky lol.  I am all about tacky Disney.  Every shirt I own is Disney.  I love travelling and showing my Disney side.  I get lots of smiles.
