Thanks for another wonderful photo essay. The only thing missing this time was your darling wife's smiling face.

Thank you so much for posting! Vicarious thrills!

For that phase my doc recommended a baby food mill.
This worked great! I was able to eat just about anything and enjoy all the different flavors!

Demonyte wrote that the unlimited soda is NOT offered for the SJ suites. I am confused as we had a 2bedroom family suite on the Pearl and were offered unlimited sodas and many other perks.
We booked the SA (deluxe owners suite) and an SJ (family suite) for our upcoming cruise and just assumed that both would be getting the soda perk. My heart tells me Demonyte is probably right...but could a few more of you Cruise Critics "SJ" girls that they won't be having the soda option.
much appreciated....thanks
The soda perk is only for Owners Suite and above. But the SJ is awesome, even without Pepsi!

Casinos At Sea. If you gamble A LOT you get discounts and Comps!

I found this after some Googling!
Although we didn’t make it onto Ocean Blue, we did snag a couple spots in the Raw Bar, the no-reservation Seafood spot that Zarkarian has also designed and is responsible for. Raw Bar’s name kind of makes the menu apparent. The food, with a couple of exceptions, is served raw – because the secret about seafood is that sometimes, it tastes best before it hits the pan.
The menu, tapas style, was an excellent value with high quality seafood being served at reasonable pricing – most dishes were under $6.00 and reasonably sized. The menu was short and sweet, with a few crudos, ceviches and tartares to sample as well as oysters on the half shell and fresh clams served up too. We loved the Salmon Tartare and the Fluke Crudo, but for us there were two highlights – the Managlica Ham was so good we ordered seconds (one of two meats on the menu) and we fell in love with the deserts. The Apple Strudel with cardamom was matched with a wonderfully aged and mild cheddar that proved the rule that “Apple Pie without cheese is like a hug without a squeeze.”

Why thank you.
It is my pleasure to help other cruise wedding couples, especially those marrying with Norwegian. When it's your turn I'll be here! :D
Dana, every time I look at your wedding photos I burst into tears.
My husband and I got married on the Sun Deck of the Queen Mary in 2008 and then had our honeymoon cruise in the Star.
Thank you very much!

Mini-suites on the Sun are extra-special! I prefer the bathroom module on a Sun mini to the PH on other ships!
-
The butlers report to the concierge and the concierge reports to the Hotel Director.
If you are not happy with your butler, have a chat immediately with the concierge.
If that doesn't work, talk to the HD. Be sure to meet the HD at the Meet n Greet!
If the butler's services are important to you, that is!
We have always had GREAT butlers who have added a LOT to our experience on NCL and that's why we always take suites now.
If the butler/concierge and priority services and Cagney's don't really matter to you, get a mini suite and save the money. They usually have the same bathroom module as the Penthouses!
-
At all of ours the Captain invited us to tour the Bridge!
And you get a personal invitation to call the HD if anything is not to your satisfaction. They will tell you they would rather hear about it on the ship so they can do something about it than read about it later on Cruise Critic!

BED BUGS ON NCL is mighty eye catching, but another example of how the lack of critical thinking is epidemic these days.
You might just as easily say PASSENGERS DIE ON CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES SHIPS! Or any other cruise line, or car make, or hotel in the world. Because they do.
Life happens. You pays yer money and you takes yer chances. Don't be foolish, don't lose the joy of life being a fraidy cat. But that's just my philosophy. Your happiness may vary.

Enjoy the DOS, it's wonderful! We love the Cagney's perk. :D

Or you could sell your art to liquored-up vacationers at an "auction!":D

Charlie4, can you point out where exactly they posted on FB? I am not finding it anywhere. Maybe I am looking at the wrong FB page or something.
You have to go to the NCL FB page, click on Recent Posts by Others on Norwegian Cruise Line See All, then scroll down.

I must confess I just cringe when I see words like LIE, BEWARE, FRAUD, INEDIBLE, WORST, HORRIBLE, etc. in the title.
But I'm working on it.:)

is there any rooms that you may know of that would comfortably fit 6 adults? Im assuming only the 3 bedroom villas?
The roomiest suite (other than the Garden Villa!) is the Family Suite on deck 12. Three beds for 6 people. Not super private, although there are curtains and a pocket door. All depends on the relationships!
Love those SJ suites, probably the bargain of NCL...least expensive full suite.
-
Thanks for posting that! Say hello to Perry!:D
-
You made the right decision. We love those family suites. Have a great cruise.

we will be in a SJ on the star in 3 weeks i have a extention cord and power strip is that enough?
That is what we had in our SJ and it was enough!
-
What a sweet and generous post. Can't wait to read more! :D
-
Star had the ice water with fruit slices and some different teas in the Spa and upstairs in the gym there was a juice/smoothie bar. I am not sure what kinds of juices, if they were raw, etc.
-
NCL public relations, bravo! :D
-
Would you consider a family suite and fore-go a balcony if the price was right?
I'll answer both posts! :D
When you are on deck 12 with those huge windows, you may find, as we did, that you don't miss the balcony. Walk outside into the hall and you are steps from the pool area. Go up one flight of stairs and you have the whole top deck complete with hot tub!

I fully realize this is totally a "first world problem" but am slightly curious.
