After going to YTD from regular seating we have never gone back and dont plan on going back. And it seems for the same reason your father is concerned. We like to eat kinda whenever so set dinning is a bit of a hassle for us now.

We had no issue on the Breeze cove balcony only real issue was that it was a long walk to everywhere except the main dinning room.

The water slides on the breeze and magic are the same and they are awesome. The entertainment for the kids should be about the same it all depends on the staff. my son was 15-16 when on the breeze and magic and he loved club O2 to the point we rarely saw him. The Dream class ships ( this includes the magic and the breeze) to me are the best as the sunshine is just a refit of an olderclass ship. And yes they are bigger then the sunshine.

I do on occasion not every drink though. My wife like a certin drink and sometimes if the bartender make it good we tip 5 extra bucks on a $12 drink and more often then not they remember us and from there on out they make it perfectly every time.

255 days....

ROTFLMAO... Worst part is I'm not joking..with the high stress job I have I live to nap like I am in kindergarten on sea days. And if you don't gain at least 5 pounds on a cruise...you are doing something wrong lol!
We only take the stairs when cruising but still the 5 pounds shows up on the scales the next week imagine if we took the elevators [emoji16]

Wake up..eat breakfast...take a nap...eat lunch...take a nap....have a snack....take a nap....go to dinner, watch the show...go to bed.;p
Your sea days are exactly like mine. I like the port but i mostly cruise for the sea days. One thing i would add after lunch is a few drinks.

I have heard a few people state that they have had problems with the A/C on various ships. We are sailing on the Freedom in October and wondered if anyone recently off the Freedom had any problems with their cabin A/C working properly and if the other areas of the ship were comfortable or not? Thanks!

We are just off the freedom in June and had no issue with the AC.

Seems like a good idea to me. They might not need to bring on new things like flow rider just more acces to things that they already have. I so wanted to do thrill theater but it was always full. Or biger specialty restaurants. I do think people woulf use and enjoy rock climbing i definatly would.

Just off the Freedom and i have to say.... The shows from playlist productions where not very good. Im not saying the people where not talented but it all seemed rushed and just not good. Thinking maybe i pick one that i just didnt like I went to 3 othe showing of diffrent shows but no it was all around poor. Was on the Breeze the year before and had the same feeling. Not to this extent but...

I know I've only cruised twice with Carnival but I've had to print a pass for each of us both times. Each pass only had one person's info it.
You have a choice when you print it can be one pass for everyone or each person has a separate one.

What do you think is Carnival's reasoning for having it be after 5 on last day? Thoughts?
Based on only my drinking habbits on a cruise i drink alot less on the last night. Maybe they are hoping that extra drink will grease the wheels and maybe get you to spend more.

There is nothing stopping people from doing this right now. Was there any indication of why a more formal way to do this is needed?

My kids don't even own a suit and tie. Khakis and polo is perfectly acceptable for both adults and kids.
You will see people dressed like this and some older folks dressed with a tie and jacket on. Personally this is how my boy and myself dress.
The same goes for me and my boy.

We are trying to decide between Carnival and Royal Caribbean for our 2nd cruise, and I'm in charge of researching which cruise line is better. I know that Royal Caribbean is better for teens, but what quality does carnival have for teens in case my mom who's in charge of the operations says no?
I dont know what they do with teens but I know whatever it is got my kid out the cabin at about 0700 every morning and he normally came back after midnight. So whatever it was he enjoyed it.

I think it's about the money. It's always about the money. If they can get 3-4 or even 5 people in a cabin instead of 2, why wouldn't they cater to the families? I just hope the kids stay out of the bars and clubs and then they won't bother me.
Interisting you said you hope kids stay out the bars. On our last cruise there was a kid in the red frog bar and he got mad at me because I didnt want to play tic tac toe with him. Really mad. Didnt know the kid or his parents but he was sure that I should play with him.

I've seen several pics of other ships. How common is it to see other ships out in the middle of the ocean? I leave on my first cruise in 2 weeks.
We where on the Carnival Magic a few years ago and where shadowed 100% of the time by a rccl ship(I think it was navigator) they went to every port we did and where always in sight. It was kinda cool.

FTTF is pure profit for carnival amd they will keep raising the price as long as people keep paying for it. They literally have nothing to lose.

The balcony itself I loved it being on deck 2 i hated. No matter where you want to go its a long trip excet the main dinning room. It fine in general but we are unlikely to get another one.
