Yes.. when you get either shuttle

at LAX..They will want the van to be full.

They circle the airport three times.

Then they drop off people going

to different hotels. You could be 1st or last.

Takes awhile.

Yes.. it takes a shorter time going back..

because it's the only place their going..

Port to LAX. One Stop!

Still a good bargain. Don't need reservations.

Grimsby now do understand why it took a shorter

time coming back..not because you use another

shuttle service..would of taken super shuttle 30 mins too.

NW..A taxi would cost. Think at 8pm maybe the shuttle

wouldn't take as long. They have and maybe Prime Time

has a car that would just take you. More money of course

but cheaper then a taxi.

Super Shuttle and Prime Time

are at the airport everyday and at

the port when ship/ships are coming in.

You don't have to make reservations

unless you want. Just get one, tell them

where you want to go. Might have to

wait until the shuttle is full. That happens

with or without reservations.

Super Shuttle does go to other places.

Just tell them where you would like to go

and see if they will do it.

You said Sapphire is starting the..

Anytime Entertainment..is that

what is on the Emerald? Three

shows a night?

Do you know what other ships

are doing that now? Sounds like

(from others) shows to short and

they have taken entertainment

away from other rooms. Is that

right?

No problem with Crowne Plaza.

We've stayed there many times.

They help with luggage, take to

your room. pick up in morning

if you call.

Staff very friendly. hotel clean.

In evening if you don't want

to walk far, across the street, one

building down, the Green Onion,

mexican food. Short walk.

Nice to see that you all are still around.

Is A cruise's coming up for you..Want to lose?

Just saw your post and just wanted to

say, I loved your town. Been there

twice on cruise ships, not enough time

but least I can say I've been there.

First time Dec. 8th I think a Holiday.

Everything decorated. Few stores open,

no traffic. Walked all over town, then

followed the cable car cable down to

the station and took it up to Monte.

Great views of town and sea.

Second time regular day, stores open, traffic

and we had a great time then too. This time

walked the gardens up top at Monte, only

thing you keep walking down to see everything...

then you have to walk back up! It was something..

would do it again. Beautiful!

Both times took the cable up and down....

no toboggan for me! LOL

Can't believe his year is almost over.

Can tell he's enjoyed himself even with

the "bumps" along the way.

Good for him planning a land and sea trip,

in 2012, this time only 4 months.

Better for his health and wallet!!!

I'm happy for him, now he has something to

look foward to.

and were not charged the 3%.

The pit boss and dealers told you this..

WERE NOT charging the 3%. You

sign for it..no charge..they were

telling everyone!

Slots weren't charging.

Don't know about going up to the

Casino Cage if charging or not.

Remember he's not e-mailing us,

he's e-mailing his friends and one

is putting them on for us.

He likes sightseeing if someone takes

him or if gets to meet old friends.

Otherwise don't think he would go

sightseeing even if not e-mailing.

His health and walking doesn't make it

enjoyable for him. That's what I think.

Plus I really think he likes finding places

and seeing some of the people and sights again

each time in port. Yes I think he shouldn't go

if really cold or raining but that's his choice.

It would be nice if he could get a ship that

he could play on for room and board but I

think his age might stop them from hiring him.

If he has his health and money he should find

another long cruise. He enjoys meeting people and

playing. Keeps him young!

Also from pier to LAX, they

will be there, tell them what

airport, they will fill up and your

on your way. Could be lines of course.

Did you walk to the Queen Mary first or take the shuttle to baggage and then do early check-in?

Where does the water taxis take you? How much?

We have a bay room too. Hope to see our ship in the morning.

Do you know if all bay rooms have a view of the ship?

We're staying there in Jan. How close is it to the Queen Mary?

Thinking we could walk from hotel to do early check-in, then back to

hotel, get our luggage and then the shuttle. Baggage claim is near check-in, isn't it. Then we could just stay there, wouldn't have to walk to Queen Mary then.

Is that possible? Is it as easy as I think?

Also could you please tell me what time the hotel buffet breakfast is?
