111 days until our Baltic Sea cruise!

I am a US citizen and I have a valid Russian Visa. I am currently in Russia - just returned from Moscow yesterday & spending today & the remainder of the week/weekend in St. Petersburg with some of my Russian friends. Everything seems the same as on my previous trips to Russia - no issues getting through immigration at the airport, all calm in the city.
This is reassuring. Thanks for letting us know the local current situation.

Once you check in on the first day, can you leave the ship and treat Stockholm like a port day?
-
Thank you for your review MamaS.
We are looking at taking this same itinerary this summer, but on a different ship.
I noticed that the first two days and last two days are in Stockholm. I am puzzled as to why the itinerary is like this. Are these treated as port days?

My first cruise was on the Crown Princess in 1991. It was described a few posts above as an all white ship with a domed casino on top.
Our day itinerary was Fort Lauderdale - St. Thomas - San Juan - Nassau - Fort Lauderdale.
One thing that stood out for me on that cruise on one of the sea days at the stern, we did some skeet shooting. Something that is totally unheard of these days.
I didn't cruise again until 11 years later in 2002.

We took Bernard's tour just over a week ago. We were taken to La Playa club where it was family friendly. I did see one topless girl walking along the beach, but that was it. No big deal.
Enjoy your excursion!

We were at La Playa just over a week ago. We enjoyed it very much.
Food and drinks are available. Deck chairs and umbrella on the beach cost $20.00. There is also a change room, washroom and outdoor shower.
Overall, La Playa was a very nice place.

Thank you for sharing your Mediterranean adventure with us Bimmer! I am only on page 14, but I am loving everything that you are writing as well as your pictures.
Looking forward to seeing what comes up next.

Excellent review so far bluenoser! Looking forward to your continuing adventure.

Very sorry to hear about your dad Wrigley. I feel I got to know the both of you by reading some of your pictorials, plus you are so active in these forums, so you are part of the furniture here at Cruise Critic.
Fortunately you were able to make a record of your travels with your dad here on Cruise Critic. You can look back at them and enjoy the fond memories you two shared.
I do hope you will be able to still enjoy cruising and hopefully you will find someone who will be delighted to cruise with you.
Please accept my condolences.

Enjoying your pictorial.
You are right, there are not enough reviews of some of the older ships (which I still haven't been on).
Thanks a lot for sharing and I look forward to your continuing adventure!

Jamman,
I was looking forward to your pictorial since I read your Splendor review a few months ago.
I am thoroughly enjoying your Breeze review so far. I feel like I am on the cruise with you. Thanks for letting us tag along with you and your family.

Thank you for your pictorial Captain Carnival. I really enjoyed it!

Thank you for your Alaskan review saxgirl84.
I thoroughly enjoyed both the cruise and land parts of your pictorial.
I feel compelled to book a cruisetour to Alaska now.

Thank you for an enjoyable pictorial of your splendid cruise!
Cruising in and out of New York is so much different than cruising out of a Florida port. Loved all the pictures of the New York city skyline.
Looking forward to "traveling" with you on your next cruise review!
