Same for us! 🤞🏻 no test!

Just got the email, test required 2 days prior, antigen only (for Italy)

The link they have for Abbott Binaxnow does not allow for UK shipping so hoping they allow other manufacturers of tests.

  2. When is your cruise? For US departure the above is correct, however if you are cruising in europe the protocols for testing have not been announced yet to my knowledge. We are sailing May 2nd, from Rome and eagerly awaiting the information for pre cruise test reqs.

We will be on the same cruise and talked to the Celebrity office in Frankfurt, Germany today. They said we will most likely need a normal test in a place that provides the European covid test certificate. Here in Germany you can have the tests also on sundays and public holidays. It might be similar in Italy, at least at the airport in Rome.

Thanks, we are arriving into Rome on 30th April, hoping we will not need to return to the airport on the Sunday as we only had the one day to sight see.
Fingers crossed we can perhaps do tests that we purchase in advance and take in the Hotel.

    Hi all,

I searched but couldn't find any pictures or info for sure.

Since refurbishment, do the large balconies on the hump on the Silhouette still have both regular chairs and lounge chairs?

This pic is from our cruise on the Reflection in January 2020.

Wow! Thats a great balcony, which cabin number was this please?

  5. For me its never about showing anything other than ‘Im on a cruise!’ The same as my Disney ‘ears’ show I am in Disney! Its a practical thing too, to access my card without having to rummage for it. Now I will be wondering if everyone is judging me 😞 As if we don’t have enough worries in the world.

Yes and let’s not encourage it!

Unless, of course, Celebrity starts cruising to the cheaper Vegas hotels.

On a very recent sailing my friend said to me "Have you noticed that the majority of people who wear lanyards have gold Concierge Class sea pass cards? It's almost as if they're trying to be a 1980's 'medallion man'."

And from that point onwards, I really did notice! 😄

Goodness someone is very judgy! I love wearing my lanyard when I cruise, being classy isn’t always about what you wear, sometimes its about your manners.

Are you referring to the pricing glitch that happend? The prices have gone back to normal now so I would expect I can't claim the obc?

No, prices have also genuinely dropped again today, our cruise had anyway. (Aside from glitch) always worth a daily check! And to keep on topic for move up, always best to check if a paid upgrade is available might be cheaper than bidding.

We are from the UK and have not ‘bid’ on previous Celebrity cruises. Not sure it even existed when we last sailed with them in 2017. Received an email today for an offer on our cruise for 16th May but the minimum of £295 pp for a standard balcony from an OV seems high. Do they come down in price nearer the time? TIA

Might be worth checking with your travel agent, the prices have dropped in some cases recently, you might be able to upgrade without bidding, and often its cheaper to just ask and pay. We had a significant price drop today and took it as OBC. Good luck.

Celebrity have spotted it now...error in the system. Some people have been lucky and have managed to book at silly prices. I wonder if Celebrity will honour it?

I nearly booked the Fjords for £500 for both of us all in. Should have just taken the chance

Oh yes you should have! We all should! 🤣

  10. Love this thread! It takes me back to times when we just got excited about everything onboard instead of worrying about protocol etc. I am making a list of all these cocktails (am usually a wine drinker only) thank you to everyone who has contributed to my new found alcoholism 😂

  11. Its not the same thing by any means but here in the UK they are now promoting posh coffee bags (the same as tea bags) you just add bag to cup, hot water and you have coffee. Might be worth a look.

Cafe al bacio is my favourite place on the whole ship, am loving the ideas here for things to try!

  12. I am going to proudly declare I love wearing my lanyard holder because then I know I am on a CRUISE! I also love to have one that has the diamantes on the strap, do they still sell these onboard?
