Yes, it can be horrible but it’s the best of the major cruise lines. HAL, RCL, Celebrity and Carnival are flat out unusable.

Granted the buffet is better on the Regal, I prefer the Ruby as a ship. Side entrances to the theater, wider side balconies, Skywalker's, Sabatini’s (now Share) on the aft... The list goes on...

Considering that I could never get a whole email messages to download, I wouldn’t consider any of there plans.

Ah, I can still remember the day, pre 2007, when Princess had a suchi bar by the pool. I’m too young to remember all the things that are gone. That’s another thread.

My TA has standing instructions to tell Princess “no upgrade, thank you”. For the vary reason other posters have mentioned. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Remove the art gallery (other than when they serve champagne it’s empty) and the casino (never seen more than a handful of people) and the theater is big enough. Problem solved.

On our last cruise on the Crown, we sat IN the isle. Other stood where ever they could. No one told us to move. It was madness.

No. Only a category.

Stayed in a suite on E. No noise.

I am ambivalent about the new menu. I actually paid to eat there when most people were comped. Triple lobster was the greatest.

Rumor has it three people have answered the questionaire honestly and they were whisked away never to be seen again
Sadly this is true. It encourages dishonesty.

Great choice, from my perspective. I don’t like showering in bathtubs

$1,000. PP  My answer would be FUGHEDDABOUDIT. :)
Tony
$1000 a person, I would say jump all over it.

As an Elite, I would always do Princess Excursions. I cannot tell you how many times the ship has waited for our return and how many times our ship has waited for Princess Excursion. When comparing the price of the Princess Excursion with the private excursion plus catch up air - no comparison.

Sadly, as others have said, the pianos are for decoration only.

My wife doesn’t like Blu because it is set up for couples, with the tables too close together. I would just eat in the MDR. But then the group tables there are too close together.

I am guessing you are talking about the B4 balconies on the fantail of the ship. The two biggest differences are the B4’s have a small sofa and a considerably larger balcony. Balcony on the side of the ship are so narrow that when you spread out you have to turn your chair sideways. B and D deck B4’s are mostly covered, so there will be little if any soot. Grab one if you can!

If I Interpret your question correctly. No. The mid cruise excursion to MP leaves the ship from Pisco and rejoins the ship on the second Lima day. We took the pre cruise MP tour and it was a triumph in logistics. A 1 to 4 ratio guides to guests. We had friends who did the mid cruise excursion and there was almost a mutany it was so intense. Odds of a DIY excursion, make sure you can afford to catch up with the ship.

This whole tread sounds like a great way to get one mattress charged to you cruise account.

We book when the “Price is right”. That way if it goes on sale great and if it doesn’t go on sale great.

Kotor can be a mean port. On a Celebrity Cruise the weather was getting so bad that the Silouette left the port an hour early. Never seen that. The turn at Perast was tricky.

Don’t want to be contrarian but neither. The PC is best seen from a forward or aft cabin and you might as well take a full transit, since the two halves are very different. From what I’ve seen the Caribbean doesn’t do full transits but the IP only has suites on the aft. If you don’t want a suite, take Celebrity on an M Class ship. The fantail cabins have big covered balconies. Watching the opening and closing of the locks is fascinating. I went to the public areas several times during the day but didn’t last long. People everywhere. Also take the ferry excursion, even if you are in a king a full transit. Gives a different view of the canal.

With all the rules and regulations, simplest is best. Don’t....

Ha! So is my husband!!! He wore out his tux and just got a new one...

Glad to hear that there are others like me. This may be asking for trouble, but I think if you wear a tux, you are treated better.
What are your thoughts about Pacific Princess?

Service is extra special. I never gave a tip to someone other than a cabin steward or waiter till our cruise on the Pacific. The staff goes the extra mile.
