  1. We're cruising out of Miami in November 2017. Our return flight is late in the evening. Looking for suggestions of what to do in Miami for the day. Also, can anyone recommend a place to store our luggage for the day after we get off the ship? Thanks!

Have you considered one of the Carnival post cruise excursions? I've done the one with the Miami area hop-on hop-off bus tour. They will keep your luggage during the day and then take you directly to the airport later in the afternoon. I'm cruising out of Miami in November also, Carnival Glory on the 4th and on the 11th.

  2. My number one suggestion would be: go into the cruise knowing that at times the ship might feel crowded and there will be lines you will be waiting in, i.e. boarding the ship, muster drill, buffet line, waiting for excursions to leave, etc. Try and relax and don't let those situations prevent you from having a great cruise.

  3. I'll be on the Sensation at the end of Sept. and we'll be stopping in Nassau on a Sunday.

I've read that they don't sell alcohol on Sundays in Nassau. Is this true? Do they still sell it in the cruise port area or the cruise terminal type shops?

I was really looking forward to trying some new rums and hoping to buy bottles of whatever I end up liking...

Drinking Laws -- Alcohol is sold in liquor stores and various convenience stores; it's readily available at all hours, though not for sale on Sundays. The legal drinking age in The Bahamas is 18.

    From the website Frommers.com

  4. Maybe this is a silly question, but I havent been on CC in a while and couldnt find a thread about it when searching.

Which ships have this? I'm headed out on the Conquest in a couple weeks.

Also, how does one make purchases before getting their card?

For what I understand you can use your boarding pass to make a purchase prior to getting your card.

  5. We have never been able to bring guests. They have checked the invitations for the ones I have been to.

As a matter of fact, my husband became platinum before me and he was not able to get me in to any of them.

I would guess it's a matter of who is at the door greeting and checking.

I've been to two P/D parties, the cruise director was at the door both times but did not ask to see the invitation.

  6. I will be on the Glory in November and was wondering how the new BBQ venue is. I believe that it is located where the fish and chips was.

Any info. on the menu or thoughts about the food quality would be appreciated. Also what hours is it open?

  7. Hi. I am reading conflicting reports regarding this 1a cabin on the Glory. Some posts say it has one upper and one lower, some say two lowers. The folks at Carnival are unsure themselves.

Anyone have experience with this cabin?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

I stayed in cabin 8357 on the Glory in Nov. 2014, there were two beds on the floor that where pushed together.

  8. Best meal in the dining room? Gosh, that's a hard one. They were all good, some "pieces" were better than others. Here is a list of foods that I found really, really good:

    Mussels (app in dining room)

Pot de Crem (Dessert in dining room)

Flat iron Steak (everyone had it at least once and everyone loved it - dining room)

Breakfast Burrito (Blue Iguana - Breakfast)

Seafood Shack clam strips & FRENCH FRIES - (additional pay but the FF are awesome!)

Jerk Pork loin (main - dining room)

Braised Beef (main - dining room)

We really liked most everything we ate. Lobster was great as well, and most of us had two!

Did you try the BBQ place located above the Lido buffet area? Any thoughts or opinions?

  9. aren't cabins 6345, 7345, and 8345 interior/bunkbed cabins? so how can they put two twin beds into a queen....when the room only has one twin, and one upper bunk? anyway how was abin 7345? that is the cabin i am going to be in... as far as the cruise how was the entertainment, activities, food, etc? I haven't been on carnival for a while...last cruise i took on carnival was the carnival paradise and that was back in 2014....was not impressed with that cruise at all....

Would appreciate any feedback that you may have....thank you..

I have stayed in cabins 7345 and 8357 on the Glory. The website description and picture for these cabins is incorrect, when I stayed in them both cabins had two beds on the floor that could be pushed together to make one larger bed. I believe there is also a bed that lowers down from the ceiling.
