    Now that is Modern Luxury!

Very nice photos,,,maybe send them to LLP along with the downgraded  balc photos.  What would LLP prefer on her cruise???

Well that's a no brainer... we all know what she would prefer on her cruise 🙂  I suppose we'll just have to remember times like this as the good old days and reminisce.  Sadly.  That photo of breakfast served on that tiny balcony coffee table is ridiculous and it's crazy that Celebrity don't see this.

Aqua Class & Concierge Class  cabins on the ships that haven’t been Completely revolutionized have footstools and chairs that have a recline.  The footstools were a perk of Concierge and Aqua Class cabins.

Oh my goodness, I hope you are correct.  We sail on Reflection in November in Concierge class - we need footstools!!!

  3. Hello wise fellow travellers.  I just upgraded to Concierge Class to a hump cabin on Reflection No 2166.  I then read the cabin comments of the "S" class spreadsheet and while some say it is quiet, others complain of the toilet sewer pipe running through the balcony.  HELP!!  Should I keep this cabin or change while there might still be an alternative still free.

I was looking at the surf package also.  When I called to book with the discount, he said that is was only for the unlimited stream.  In the terms it say "on the first package purchased"    Were you able to get the discount when booking it?

I was told this on my first call so paid full price.  Then I saw others on here who did get the discount so I called back and got the discount with another call centre operator.  Try again - tell them others have had this discount on the surf package.

  5. Speaking as someone from New Zealand, I wouldn't ever leave the country without full travel insurance.  If we fell ill in US we could be up for hundreds of thousands of dollars.  We actually bought a full year cover earlier this year to cover a few trips throughout the year.  We've already been to Europe and soon to tour US and then a cruise.  We read too many stories of people who didn't have insurance and have been caught out quite badly.

  6. We have enjoyed three Mediterranean cruises. We have spent a lot of time in Rome, Italy in general and Greece.  We have never had an issue at all with crime but I am a careful traveller.  I always make sure my bag is over my shoulder and is one of those "pick pocket" proof bags ie, it has lock on the zippers etc.  We don't engage the scammers on the streets either.

We have loved every single moment of our cruises on the Med and really you can't go wrong!  Please don't let fear stop you.  Our last cruise was only a two months ago and it was as amazing as our first cruise ten years ago.

  7. Wow, what a lot of judgemental people!  I think the shoes in the original photo are lovely for dinner in the MDR.  I am sure I've worn similar on many cruises when the weather has been hot and I've been dressed very appropriately above the shoe line.  I am of the 'older' generation and am happy to change with the times.

It's a website issue. I get the same thing for my Dec 23 2019 Solstice cruise which we have successfully registered 8 months ago.

Funny, now it works and says that 1 person is registered for the party?  I presume that means 1 person from my booking?  I then tried again and it let me register myself so now shows a total of two registered.  I think that means I'm in!!

TA rumor days that this is changing effective Sept 1 2019. Perk drink packages will no longer include the gratuity, which really undermines the value of the beverage package perks.

Would that only apply to future sales?  I hope that wouldn't affect our November cruise!

  10. I personally dislike formal night and usually stay in the buffet etc on those nights.  We travel very light and while I take a dressy top or two I gave up on formal a long time ago. One suggestion though, because there are those who LOVE formal and really want the experience - why not set aside an area and restaurant for those who wish to be formal?  People could even book so you know the numbers.  They can all enjoy a similar evening with no jeans to be seen!  Surely that could be done?

  11. I phoned up Celebrity to buy the surf package and use my CC discount - I was told this only applied to the full internet package, not surf.  I've read here that others have been given the discount - has anyone had that discount recently (or been refused as I was?).
