  1. We did it with Royal Caribbean presumably the same. I think on Celebrity you are definitely on the Catamaran which isn't very luxurious but slightly better than the dinghy we where on.

Trip not as described. The worse trip by some distance on our cruise.

Here is a link to my review which contains video

IMO there are better trips in Grenada

  2. It all depends on what you want to do/see

There is so much in London. You can't do it all in 2 days.

It is easy to navigate via Tube or Black Cab(don't use Uber IMO).

Look at TripAdvisor etc and a good guide book and make your plans.

For most things you don't need to use a tour company. Although Hop on Hop Off busses might be an idea

  3. Only the youngest group (3-5) get phones. If they need you in an emergency, they will page you on the ship. Of course, if you decide to leave your child on the ship while you go off on an excursion there could be an issue.

Seems to depend on numbers only ever received them once

  4. We use justtravelcover.com as we need to cover pre-existing medical conditions. Some of the quotes were outrageous, but these were reasonably priced. We just have to book more holidays to get our money's worth.

We take out the Annual cover which includes Cruise Cover.

Make sure is using similar book via a cash back site. 12.6% cash back available for this travel insurance company at moment.

If not familiar with how cash back site works look at the well known site ran by Martin Lewis or if you need any advice on buying insurance and getting the best deal.

  5. Allure in my opinion is finished nicer. The Boardwalk is a lot nicer and not just because there is no "Horrific Abyss" Also solarium is much nicer and there is a proper comedy club. The building standard just looks better overall IMO.

However, better cabin layout & the few extra slides and Wonderland on Harmony.

Overall I prefer Allure although it is a very close call.

  6. Use the well known comparison sites and use a cash back site to purchase once you know cheapest. Assuming you are making 2 trips of some form in year annual policy is usually cheaper than trip insurance.

This year on American Express. Previous years Aviva, Debenhams, Holiday Extras and various others.

Make sure your policy covers cruises not all do.

  7. You don't have time to get the "Disney" experience from a cruise ship day. You need DAYS...not hours! Orlando is about 1 hour away from port....and it takes about another 30 mins. from parking to actually being IN the park....

Save Disney for a land vacation and get your money's worth!

I agree a lot of money Disney in a day and will experience very little.

  8. We have always cruised on Adventure but are now on the Jewel February 11, 2018 sailing out of San Juan. Can anyone tell me if there is a place on the Jewel that is open 24/7 to get coffee (free). My husband is a very early morning person, even on vacation, as am I. He usually goes down on the 5th deck of Adventure and gets us each a coffee to have out on our balcony. I don't see anything about this on the Jewel.

It is available over night in an area next to the Windjammer. It was never advertised but I found it by accident.

  9. My DH and I ate at Wonderland twice. The first time, it was with my stepson and his gf, She is allergic to shellfish and doesn't eat a lot of red meat or chicken so the menu was more tailored to her. We enjoyed it but we weren't WOWed like we were expecting to be. We had the 3-night dining package with 1 night left. We looked over the menu and realized there was a lot we didn't get to try that we thought we might enjoy.

The 2nd time we ate at Wonderland it was just the 2 of us. We got the WOW factor we were looking for. We told the waiter what we had the first time, and what we saw we were interested in and he gave us a very nice experience. He brought us what we asked about and some he thought we might enjoy. We didn't leave hungry, we were very full!!

It seems this is the best way to do it. say your likes and dislikes and let the waiter surprise you.

I understand all waiters do it slightly different

  10. Yes, you can get your INR checked on board. On one cruise, the tester was broken, and the Ship's doctor arranged for us to go to a clinic while we were docked in Aruba to have it tested. Royal even paid for the taxi.

That is very worrying if a cruise ship only has 1 tester for INRs
