I would guess some generic party and a toast with that cr&&y champagne they give out for free...
No free champagne when I was on Allure
The table thing is linked with champagne
Buy a bottle and it is put on a table hence you get a reserved table.
Don't buy one you won't get a table

Very surprising & disappointing choice :(

Cant believe I have just read the whole of this thread.
That is 10 minutes of my life never to be recovered :D

It has now been a solid 15-16 hrs since the last communication from the island of Dominica. It would appear that the island is in dire situation.
Very worrying & very sad.
Such a beautiful island and such lovely people when we visited.
It was my 13 year old daughter's favourite and where she claimed she wanted to live eventually.

What part of "flavourful sauce" makes the vegetable jalfrezi not vegetarian???
It is intriguing  :')
Sorry I missed your previous post
The menus look really interesting would be great if was rolled out further.
Do we know if Navigator Indian is permanent or just when sailing UK market?
-
It was mentioned a couple of months ago being available on Jewel. You may have to ask the waiter for the Indian menu.
Is it just Jewel or is it on other ships?
Interesting that the vegetable jalfrezi isn't vegetarian

New photos from the Royal Caribbean Press Center.
Enjoy the Boardwalk how it should look before they stick the "Abominable" Abyss on it
-
That sounds about right in light of extreme damage.
I'm not that optimistic.
I can't see it accepting the same level of traffic for at least 12 months.
I have already written it off for our August cruise on Oasis
-
There is a different Indian menu offered every day in MDR alongside the usual menu. It is about the size of the desert menu.

Is this new?
Or do you have to know about it to get it?
-
It's hardly a new ship by the time she gets to the USA in November ..... she would have been sailing since April in the Med [emoji854]

Presumably if it is the first time in a port the will be some sort of festivities plus the christening with hosepipes.
Cant think it will be a special cruise as it will be 6 months old by then
-
Remember seeing an Adventure Ocean member of staff having his water pistol he won at Tivoli Gardens being confiscated.
I think it depends on the guard

Our Oasis Cruise for next year has actually dropped in price...no free drinks on this one.
Not enough of a drop to cancel lose deposit and rebook unfortunately.

Congratulations for winning the "Most Ignorant Post of the Year" award.
Or should I have told my DGS at age 3 to just "man up" when he was served bread that had dairy, despite being assured that it did not and had an anaphylactic reaction? Instead of having his father plead with him to " stay with me" and not die should he have said " Just shake it off?"
It's amazing how people feel free to pontificate about things when they absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Of course, the alternative theory is that they are lacking in all human compassion. I'm not sure which category you fall into.

I did ask in 270 on Anthem, crew member pointed to where the milk was and said that's all there was. I asked if maybe it was in the kitchen, he went back to ask (that's what he said) and came back and said the only milk onboard was regular, skim and half/half.
We have never had any difficulties getting it for my daughter...have had an occasional awkward waiter but if I later have a word with a head waiter it will be found.
I don't think all venues store it but they can get it.
As someone mentioned earlier get to know head waiter early about needs.

No Such thing as "Dairy Free Cheese".
Tell your friend to "man-up" for the week........
Not sure this comment is really cruel but it certainly isn't funny.
Unbelievable ignorance most certainly :(
A little reading for the poster

No non-dairy cheese in Sorrentos. They do have soy milk and almond milk in the specialty coffee areas- not sure if they will let you buy just a glass.
I met a woman last week on the Anthem while eating breakfast in the Solarium Bistro who had a little container of almond milk- I asked her where she got it and she said she brought it onboard -she had a dr.'s note stating for medical reasons she was dairy free and was allowed to bring it on. Hope this was helpful.
If you ask wait staff in all restaurants they will get it for you.
Some staff will also find lactose free milk but that seems to be more hit or miss

If you think Voyager-class is crowded - especially the WJ......you need to try Oasis-class - you will wish to be back!:D;p:eek:
I found Windjammer on Oasis Class ships a lot easier than on Navigator....Freedom Class the worse of the lot.
Best to date though was Jewel.

On our Allure cruise they also had a haunted house. I would guess several hundred dressed up and were in the contest in the promenade. Some of the costumes are unbelievably well done.
Forgot about the haunted house. It was done really well.

That be very nice to finally celebrate halloween at the age of 54 lol thank you. Question, do people get dressed up just curious?
The majority do dress up. I can't recollect many who didn't. Certainly more than did formal night :')
Here is a
to a video of our cruise on Allure on Halloween a few years back. -
Our daughter was one month past 12 on Allure last year.
She loved the teen change. I think for her the best thing was she never had to wear her muster station wrist band.
The does not seem to be great supervision but she does have a great time. Rules and boundaries, which we often fail on, offer the best chance of success.

Meets none of your criteria BUT Barbados Beach Hop best excursion ever.
Still have not completely recovered :D
-
Thanks for your super quick reply. I'm not satisfied with the price at all but is it likely to go down? I'm also looking at a P&O cruise and I know that the price will only go up. I'm also aware that there will be limited spaces for children (4 year old) so can't leave booking until the last minute.
You will find P&O much more difficult than Royal Caribbean for getting kids on especially if you need school holidays. We have only succeeded once getting a P&O cruise. They have strict levels at each age group.
Who knows with prices but watching recently it is more up than down. The deals in the UK this year have not been as good as last year. Presumably due to the £.
-
Jewel does not have O3b and the cruise line has not publicly revealed deployment plans.
What is O3B?
-
Whilst it seems entirely appropriate and correct to do.
The was an issue over poppies and the English football team recently.
Whilst I don't understand it Royal Caribbean(as an international company) might have a similar opinion.
Best ship for "almost" adult children (19 yr olds)
in Royal Caribbean International

I guess the answer to this is sail from Europe where it is allowed
