We have sailed once on deck 11 on the Summit. We had cabins 1114 and 1116. I liked the location very much. Down the back stairs to the aft Bar or Oceanview Café. I would not book the cabins near the exit doors. Their is not much shade on the deck, if you dont get one of the aft Aqua cabins. You can open the dividers between the cabins.

Interesting. What was the min previously? And what cabin are you in right now?
We are in a Aqua A2. Starting bid for a CS was $550pp. Website calls it a Promo CS is $385pp.

My guess is the Andy Cohen special airing on Bravo on 11/1 at 10pm. All captains from the “Below Deck” show are on Beyond right now with Captain Kate and they will all be filming and possibly broadcasting show live. Captain Kate will be part of that show.
if you follow Captain Kate on TikTok there’s a rather humourous ad for it where all the captains are on the bridge at once.
I did hear about Andy and the Beyond today online.

I'll be disappointed if they don't have Friends of Dorothy up and running on Apex by my Thanksgiving cruise.
Our 2 cruises this year had FoD meeting at the Martini Bar.

NCTeacher - perhaps check again with your TA? Our TA was able to upgrade for us - we are sailing in May.
Cheers!
2 of our last 4 cruises we did not have PDP, so both times I had our TA call and upgrade our drink packages and internet with our CC discount.

I just looked on Celebrity app for our next. My Xpress Pass has Aqua Class. Elite Plus. Onyx. There is a big gap between Onyx and Amethyst.

Has anyone noticed if cabins remain available, does the minimum bid amount ever go down? Just curious.
We are booked on the Solstice sailing Nov 5th. I did get an email about move up bidding. They lowered the starting bid for CS to $375pp. RS, CS and SS are what I'm able to bid on. I went to see what suites Celebrity has available on line to book. Celebrity does not have any suites available for this sailing. Why reduce the opening bid for a suite that is not available to even book.

I'm really scratching my head about all of the comments about the inferior food on HAL. I've been on a couple of post-Covid cruises on Celebrity and for me the food quality on Celebrity has dropped dramatically. The food on Celebrity isn't anything special. I'm not sure Celebrity can cut the steaks and the prime rib any thinner. Portions sizes seem much smaller and there is less variety. The food in the Ocean View Cafe is always cold, so if HAL can at least serve the food hot it would be an improvement.
I don't see how there can be a large dfference.
I had prime rib from the MDR on Solstice last month. I was dining in Luminae and my prime rib was about a 1-1/2" thick. It was great and I ate the whole thing. If I would get a thin PR when served to me, I would request a 2nd PR.

Check out Celebrity flyer. We did 2 Alaska sailing this year. I did not dress up at all.

I do realize there is a difference…I also see how it could confuse some. I myself just realized the added benefits of the Aqua Suites, and will be checking them out for pricing on future cruises.
I have looked at the new AS. They changed my favorite S2's on S class ships to a AS. I'm fine with any M class sky suite. When it comes to S Class. We were just on Solstice in 2114. We could still hear some noise from the OC. 2114 will become a AS. This fall we have our 1st CS booked on Eclipse. When it comes to the Aqua Suites we just wont use the extra benefits. People tell me that Celebrity has a Spa and Gym. 🙄

We have sailed 7 times with HAL. The last time was 2008 on Eurodam. I remember having a nice suite on HAL. I dont remember a assigned dining restaurant. Has HAL improved things for their guest in Suites. As Celebrity has over the years. The last time I cruised with HAL you could still smoke in your cabin and I had a wine card that they punched holes in.

Back in 2015 our TA booked us 5 cabins and we had Select dining in the MDR. Our TA was able to make reservations for all 11 of us at one large table for the same time each night.
This year we sailed with friends from the England. I linked our reservations and tried to book a excursion and got the note saying they were in a different currency. But I was going to use their OBC.😖

Yes you can order off MDR or Blu. Just ask your waiter for the menu. We did not have any problems on Millie or Solstice this year. We dined in Luminae. E Class ships the answer is no.

We used to book concierge cabin on deck 12, 2169 or 2171. For us it is about location. One deck up to food and pool. I like this location better on the other S Class ships. One deck up to food and right out to the pool. Easy to bring lunch back to the large covered deck.

We were on Solstice last month. They had prime rib on the MDR menu night 7 . I looked for prime rib the 1st night and did not see it. I just looked at our Nov 5 cruise on Solstice. The app has Prime rib under day 7 MDR menu.

This is "ancient history" but my finest score was Johnny Walker Blue (750ml) on Med Equinox sailing in the summer of 2010. Some kind of "special" w/o the fancy box @ $99.00 each. Purchased 3-bottles which at the time were $140.00 in most other places.
I got some of those JWB @ $99. Another time I got 2 @ $305 with the box. Locally JWB is $230 plus 10% tax. Last month on Solstice they did not have any JWB for sale in the shop.🥳

Does anyone know if they are still offering the Hot Glass Class on Solstice Mexican Rivera cruises? I am going Nov 19-27-2022 and do not see the Hot Glass Class listed to purchase pre-cruise. Thanks in advance.
I have booked 2 Hot Glass Class through Celebrity website. We are on the Nov 5th cruise on Solstice. It is not under Shore Excursions it is under Onboard Activities.

I also LOVE Hubbard! We seem to be in the minority, but it does depend on the time of year because it's trickier to see (fogged in) or get close to (lots of bigger ice in the water).
As we live in the Pacific Northwest. Alaska is our quick and easy cruise. My only thought is that the sailing to the glacier is very scenic.
Sky suite difference
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Personally I like my cabin mid ship aft. We have stayed in a mid ship sky suite in the Edge. For me it is about location. E Class Retreat and Luminae are all the way forward. Sunset suites are all the way aft. With the S Class ships sunset suites are closer to the Retreat and Luminae.
