  1. I bought a used iPhone 4 and put it in a case for diving

You have to choose between pictures or video

You have to turn it on before you get in the water and it stays on the whole time

You can buy the case online

It is good for 120 feet

I didn't use my iPhone because I didn't want to take the risk of something happening to it

The case holds a four up to a five S.

  2. I never even saw the Windjammer on the Oasis or Allure. Between the Park Cafe and the CL, there was no need.

The only way I'm going on those two ships again is a rock bottom price on a oceanview balcony. Since I travel at peak times, this probably won't happen until I retire in 7 years.

  3. I have some booked, but since they added July to the no single supplement, I will probably switch or cancel those 2 cruises. I have a Christmas and New Years combo cruise. I'm going to keep that crazy expensive one as there are new ports for me and I Love the Radiance class.

Carnival is still cheaper even when subtracting my balcony discount.

Thinking about trying them out this summer.

I'm not much of s drinker so losing the CL will be ok. The champagne they serve is rot gutting and the don't serve my beer, Michelob Ultra and no frozen coco loco.

I'm sure Carnival will appreciate how I donate to the casino every night.

  4. I was on the Navigator on a B2B end of May and first week in June. I got off between cruises to go do laundry, go to Walgreens and get more cash. As I was leaving, it was complete chaos where you get your luggage. The next week when I got off, I raised my hand and said porter twice. I was through the line in less than 10 mins.

Navigator had a country band right outside the casino. I'm not a fan of country and when the casino wasn't busy, the music drove me nuts. If you like country music, they were very good. There was plenty of other music around the ship.

I had a JS aft on the first leg, but had to move 2 doors down to a regular balcony aft. I spent hours on my balcony.

One time on NCL, we went to Samana and our M&M brought dry erase markers and erasers. I bought 48 boards that I had cut up from two big sheets of dry erase board. We donated to a school through Terry's Tours.

I wish all M&M would do this and it would help out the schools in Roatan and Belize.

Except for one mean crew member, the country music, and chaos getting your luggage, the Navigator was great.

I doubt I will cruise again from Texas as I live in Florida and only did it because I got that unbelievable JS deal.

    You will enjoy the cruise!

  5. Cabin 8088 is to die for. I took 2 hour naps out there. One morning I woke up very very early so I took a late morning nap. My room steward, Cecillia came in to clean and saw me on my balcony and I didn't even wake up when she opened up the sliding glass door. :-). I am going back on the vision the third week of March, but unfortunately 8088 was gone but I was able to snag 8094, still aft. Final payment is due on Tuesday, so I'm gonna watch like a hawk to see if either corner aft opens up.

I met some wonderful people on this cruise. This was my first time going on Christmas cruise solo, but it ended up being wonderful. The concierge in the CL is fairly new, but a sweetheart.

  6. I'd say reasonable as long as it is a reputable operator.

For reference -We paid $99 pp for 2 tank boat with pick up & return to the ship this month in Barbados. W/o rental gear just tanks and weights.

Could you please share the name of the dive shop?

  7. Blue Island Divers in St Thomas did a great dive when we were there last. They pick you right up from the cruise terminal. I would book with them again.

on your list, Grand Turk is also a great choice..but I was shocked at the abundance and variety of corals and fish in St Thomas

I dove with them a couple of years ago. It was nice as pickup is right by the ship and they let you dive your air.

  8. Sorry your experience was not good. I had to call maintenance twice and they were there in less than 10 mins the first time and 15 mins second time.

Not sure why you expected gourmet food, but maybe a higher end cruise line is what you need.

Maybe try the Voyager, Freedom or Oasis class, but you would need to spend more if on a Christmas cruise.

They did have issues in the dinning room in July when I was on, but a new maitreD was brought on the day I got on and it works great now.

    Going again in March.
