I think the date is the departure date of the cruise. The port listed is where the Azamara Celebration being held, which is not on the departure date.

that makes sense,,,,teaches me not to type when tired....(I do know previously the Jan/Feb Onwards on a similar list were in the wrong geography)

  2. not sure I would use that event calendar as definitive (possibly produced before a lot of itinerary changes)

    Looking at upcoming Pursuit events

5/30/23 Bilbao.....ship departing Barcelona 5pm so will be at sea

6/13/23 Belfast...ship is overnight in Dublin

6/24/23 Tromso, Norway...ship will be in Southampton

  3. Pre-website change I used to receive Azamara emails. I reset password and can log into account (status correct but points are wrong but I have not reported yet as waiting to see what happens in June) have updated communication preferences 4 times now but have not received any email communication since the password reset one on 31st March....I come on here to find out what comms are going out!

I think it would be a very bad business decision to penalise guests who can’t use FCCs due to the current debacle

I have been holding off booking until things settled down....of course that has not happened. (thinking I would let them prioritise with more immediate requirements) Given the trip I am looking at is 30th this month I only really have next week to get booked....next decent priced deal I have seen for solo is not till October.

  5. I had a bad experience with a price drop during Cruise with Confidence. Was given completely wrong information and was told I needed to fill in best price guarantee form on website - despite it saying this was NOT for Cruise with Confidence and you were to call. Called back again and got the same person who said the website was wrong and "I've already told you...." (the bpg on website allowed you select location as US or Canada so could not proceed anyway) wrote complaint to customer relations and asked them to listen to the call recording. (never heard back)

Ended up calling next day and got someone different, sorted no problem in minutes.

It was the last time I made a direct booking.

Problem I have now is that I will potentially be making a late booking with FCC and concerned my agent may not want to go through the pain of dealing with them (FCC expires end of next month and prices have jumped so much there is only really one trip that makes sense to book as a solo traveller)

  6. I've not done this in Lisbon but in other ports have been able to drop bags off early then come back to terminal for check-in time. (although wasn't too early...in my case noon for 2pm check-in)

They cannot get calls through and can’t get a hold of any help

I have FCC to be used by end June...have been waiting each day for things to improve as I know TA will struggle to get through and sort....the more days that pass the more I think the credit is going to expire without being used. I am sure I am not the only one with credit expiring soon...maybe they could extend the expiry dates 🙂 (wishful thinking)

  8. lift and shift stopped some time ago I believe

there was Cruise with Confidence which allowed you to cancel for FCC but it ended at the end of 2022 after being extended many times (was book by end August 2022 for travel to end Dec 2022)

  9. Currently (until 15th May) boarding groups are by status and deck numbers. When online check-in reopens (due to be 15th May) and if they follow the previous process, you will select your boarding time when you check in...earliest previously had been 2pm but the current ones (without online check-in) appear to be starting suites and high status from 1.30pm

You are requested/encouraged to stick to your given/selected times to avoid disruption at the terminal

which by my calculations, would be worth it on this cruise

have you been able to work out what the rack rate is per night?

I didn't use my 4 free nights as everything I looked at was cheaper paying for all nights plus gave OBC which you don't get with the free nights unless you book onboard

Used my 6 free nights when I got them on a 7 night cruise that I booked onboard but it still took some to-ing and fro-ing to get a price

Will call Azamara if still a problem in a few days. I hope your cruise check I  goes as well as can be expected!

they are only dealing with those with imminent departures, if your cruise is not for 11 months I would check back in a month or so once (if) they have completed the migration. There are many people travelling in the next couple of weeks that may need more immediate assistance.

Thanks for your help!! I figured it might not be able to be accessed right now with the website update (that seems to be taking longer than anticipated). We fly out tomorrow. Hopefully we can get it done before we leave!

There is no issues...I had one trip where upgrade cleared when already away so no bag tags or pass printed with correct cabin number. I had one trip when I left everything on the kitchen table when I left so turned up with a photo of boarding pass from website on phone and all was simple at the pier

  13. I would just do it on the ship...can be done at any of the bars. (not aware of any discount for booking in advance)

On my previous cruise someone had attempted to purchase in advance and had lots of issues with it being recognised and took two days of visiting guest relations for it to be eventually sorted out

My wife and I are currently on the Onward voyage from Lima, Peru to Miami that began on February 12. I have to say that the internet speed is the best I have encountered on any prior cruise with any cruise line.

great to hear, board next week for a B2B.....It is only because they have upgraded that I booked the transatlantic part...would not have done if old system (they were cabling during my December cruise so not experienced it yet)

I believe you lose a bag of laundry and a discount off the Ultimate Beverage Package if you were upgrading

Elite Plus = Discovery Plus internet is free. $5/day off ultimate beverage pkg.

Discovery Plus internet is 75% discount not free. (combined cabin benefit would make it free in Veranda Plus or Suite)

Poster was asking about what they would lose with lack of status booked in Owners Suite....internet would be free there with no status so no loss.
