Did you book this in advance?..or just try and find someone on the day of travel? Thanks?
I had made a reservation but that car did NOT show. So I just clicked on the app and we had a ride in 15 minutes.

When a landslide shut down Amtrak we were without a way to get to San Pedro so we tried Lyft. It was fast and easy. door to door, and was $175 with tip for two.

NCL is open seating.no assigned dining time
-
Problem solved by calling NCL, apparently they had my wife down as a first time cruiser, instead of a Sapphire and they were other issues that the agent fixed. All checked in now.

I am having problems getting my wife checked in for out 12/31 cruise on the Jewel. It was a real hassle getting myself checked in but it is impossible to get my wife checked in. The contact information will not allow me to enter a state. the only options are "State/Province" or Not Applicable." Neither works. It does not allow me to select any particular state. If I "verify address" it show the state but now what I choose when I :Save and continue I get an "invalid state: error.
What am i doing wrong?

I originally placed the Tracker in the thread initiated by CruisingChick on April 23, 2018. However, the tracker gets lost amongst all the many questions/comments (understandably). Thus, I have decided to create a single thread for tracking purposes only (filtering out everything else).
The purpose of this thread is strictly for compiling information into a spreadsheet. I will be running this tracker for ~ 6 months to see if any interesting trends come about and/or for general information purposes. Will reevaluate its usefulness thereafter.
IF you wish to participate, answer the following questions as best as you can and I will transfer the info to the Tracker.
Please do not ask questions here (redirect your questions/comments to the CruisingChick thread of April 2018).CELEBRITY MOVE UP TRACKER (effective April 19, 2019; but can back-fill data, if available)

OK, i found The "Port Arrival Form" which I assume is Disney for boarding pass. I also found something that said luggage lags are mailed as part of packet. I have not gotten anything in the mail.
-
This is our first Disney cruise and I am really confused about Luggage Tags and boarding Passes. I have completed online check-in but when i check the status it says under review. The vaccination cards have been uploaded and confirmed and I know of nothing more I need to do.
The cruise starts in three days and i can NOT find anywhere to download boarding passes and Luggage tags.
Any suggestions? Please!

Cruisecritic News show the following:
"
Holland America Line Cancellations
Holland America announced on January 13 it will cancel additional departures aboard Nieuw Amsterdam into February. The ship is scheduled to resume service from Fort Lauderdale as of the February 19, 2022 voyage to the Caribbean.
I can find no verification of this anywhere else. Is this true? we are scheduled for February 12 -19 (Charter).
-
We are scheduled for a chartered Holland America cruise in mid February. The entertainment and many passengers will be coming from The Republic of Ireland and the U.K. Is the anyone from Ireland and/or the U.K. who is willing to venture a guess as to the chances of the cruise going.

Please comment on mask wearing, how many do wear and how many do not. Is there any enforcement of mask wearing?
thanks

Granted I have not cruised since early 2020 but cruise lines I have sailed on , including NCL have always furnished a long extension cord if I asked for one. I always bring a short cord for my clock.
You cannot bring surge protectors

Thanks, I was able to confirm all this, curious as to why HAL did not include this on their website there appears to be several other cancellations they have not listed.
the "my account" section of the website still shows us on the now cancelled Mexican cruise and the online itinerary talks of "wine tasting in Monterey" a port removed some time ago. They have a lot of changes that need to be made to the website

We booked a cruise for October 2 and purchased third party insurance through the Travel Insurance.com. Today the cruse line cancelled the cruise. So far i have been unable to get anywhere calling the Insurance company. How can I best get my money back.
-
The October 2, sailed is cancelled also. We rebooked to the Koingsdam on Oct. 31

None on the American Pride. But you are usually not far from civilization.I would assume they have a staff member trained in first aid.
-
Take the train, very smooth and relaxing. Then use Lyft/Uber or a shuttle to the ship.

With the pandemic slacking off but still no other cruise options available we decided to spend the money for a Columbia River cruise. Based mostly on departure date we decided on the American Pride downstream leaving June 18.
After having some questions after attempting to book online we called. “If your call is important to us” is really true they had better hire more agents. Waiting 30 minutes on the phone listening to Dixieland jazz hideously distorted by the tiny telephone speaker is not fun.
Once connected the agent was helpful and professional. We have done a lot of cruises including European river cruises but this was our first American one.
Air travel to Spokane was pretty much routine and we spent the pre-cruise night at the Historic Davenport Hotel which was beautiful and functional. After breakfast the next day we were called to board the busses at about 10:15 for the quite pleasant two hours plus ride to Clarkson. We then had to have a nasal swab COVID test and wait in our cabin the fifteen minutes or so it took to get the results.
On board the staff wore masks, few of the passengers did. COVID capacity signs were totally ignored.
The ship decor is to me bland and somewhat dated. The first night they ran the stern wheel all night which made considerable noise but wasn’t unpleasant. After that they left the obviously non functional wheel to just rotate on its own and the room was quieter.
We were on the third floor near the stern (Cabin 325). The cabin was quite large with a good sized bath. BUT, the beds, while comfortable, were on wheels and rolled when I go in or out of bed. Also they did not have enough room under them to allow our suitcases to be stored there. Also there was no safe or refrigerator. One unmentioned perk is that there were two free washer dryers sets on the top deck.
Meals were generally fine. The first morning we, along with everyone else, got to the dining room when it opened at 7:30. We got our order at 9:00, many who had excursions starting at 8:30 had to leave with out getting their food. This was not repeated on any other day.
One thing I fail to understand is why they schedule both dinner and happy hour at exactly the same time, 5:30 PM. A half hour earlier happy hour or a half hour later dinner would be much better.
The lecturer was excellent! An American history professor from Emory University who was born in England he gave great lectures on Lewis and Clark as well as many other topics on the history of the northwest.
Entertainment (8:30 to 9:30 PM) was a guitar/keyboard duo, a bass keyboard duo and a very entertaining singer comedian who did cowboy songs one night and sailor songs another.
Although most passengers were older as was expected. There were some younger adults and a few kids. Dress was casual all the time.
We missed one mornings excursions and/or time ashore reportedly due to a mixup on the docking spot. This should not have happened. Some docking spots were just sand bars next to a parking lot. Few were really convenient to towns.
The last morning we took the shuttle to the airport right after breakfast and would have had no problem making our 10:30 AM flight it had been on time.
For the money the cruise was somewhat disappointing, especially compared to European river cruises.

Many thanks

Does ACL, in particular the American Pride use the same type of keycards as major cruise lines. I usually use a lanyard but wonder if one is helpful on the Pride.
thanks
